Cythraul stood waiting for the rest of his part to join him. There was a huge band of them, at least ten others making the Viking with them. That included the Captain. Though he did not include Branderyn in that number. She was part of him and sometimes she wasn't always there. She wanted to be apart of this though, said it made her feel better to keep an eye on him. That and if anything happened to him she could fly back to ArunĂ¡ and tell her what happened to him.
If something happened to him. The thought caused needles to burn through him. No nothing would happen to him out here. This was like going on a pirate raid and he had survived through those. He would easily survive this. He was sure he had seen things some of these lions hadn't before.--- Curare wanted to eat the bird. It had been singing for the last hour but she fancied the male whose shoulder it sat on so she had left it. That and the rest of the group seemed to enjoy the songs it sang. Morale or something like that. Who needed morale, they were Stormborn. If the male wasn't looking and something happened she would try to eat the creature. No more singing.

[Sabia is pending a cert for Reaver. This is Zjarri's second viking, her first being this one.] Sabia`Deimos and Zjarri`fol approached the group together. No, they hadn't become close friends, but there was certainly something a touch more familiar between the pair of them. They'd taken time out of their busy schedules to sit together and chat a little. It was likely true that they would never get along entirely, but they would get past that. Sabia was supportive of the young blue females ideas to become a Captain. Females had to stick together in here, that much was obvious. They were becoming more popular up in the ranks, but still the most common were male.
So upon approaching the pair were chittering quietly then went silent once they reached Curare and Cythraul. "Cythraul, bitter lioness." Sabia nodded to each, noting that she still didn't know the green females name. Not that the green lioness and Cythraul knew hers. Seemed to be a favorable tactic. "Seems like a good day to die." She turned to spy Floki and extended the greeting to him.
Zjarri smiled confidently at the group. Her band was growing, it was an incredible feeling, one that she figured she would never feel while thinking about all of this. Now that she had the support of Sabia she had a feeling there wouldn't be much in her way. The red lioness was brute strength, strategy and ruthless. These were traits that the blue lioness would happily take advantage of, but today wasn't about this.
"Floki, we are prepared."
----
"Alright."
The Captain gave a nod of recognition to each of the bands members. This Viking was going to be fairly large. A group that was partly experienced individuals and then these folks. "Let's go."
With that he began leading them from the lands they were familiar with and into some rough terrain.

The greeting from the red lioness caused him to give her a nod of respect. Though she still hadn't given her name to him he was okay with it. One day she would, or he would hear of her tales and her name would come up. "Every day is a good day to die." Cracking a grin as he looked over to Floki who was getting them ready. The green lioness glowered at all of them, especially the stupid singing bird who only quieted when Floki arrived to speak to them She didn't even want to acknowledge the stupid red female. What would be the point in it. "I'm ready."When they got into the rough terrain Cythraul seemed to move with ease through it. As if he had been in something like this before. He wasn't too far behind the Captain who led them. Branderyn sometimes going between traveling on the male's shoulder to flying above and doing a bit of scouting. It was situation like this that he liked having her around and glad that she hadn't decided to go off on her own to do something. Going was slow for the green lioness but she wouldn't say she was lagging behind like a small few of the band. She was on the tail end of the group though. Where exactly were they going and why here? The rocky hills though would be good practice. If she could move in this eventually she could move through any sort of terrain. Or at least that is what she concluded.

The adventure began before any form of bickering could begin, thankfully. Sabia and Zjarri stayed near one another - their alliance would become very clear, very soon. The red lioness was clearly very aware of this type of terrain, she easily found footing and carried herself smoothly, almost flying. The blue lioness, however, was not as smooth - she seemed able to keep up well enough, but this terrain was a little deadly. She kept a good eye on how Sabia was making and found tips very quickly. Soon she was able to keep pace and even wore a smile that reached her eyes. She knew she would need to be capable on all terrains, one way or another, and this would only count a experience.
Now that she was able to look around a little more she discovered that she wasn't the only one experiencing some issues, ironically the green lioness wasn't doing so well herself. This amused the blue lioness greatly and she would have laughed had she the air to do so. However she watched as Cythraul proved himself capable on the terrain, it seemed to be a perfect match for him. The amusement faded on her face and instead she admired him.
Then all of a sudden the terrain changed, soft and grassy plains came into view and soon their paws pads were graced with the gentle touch of it. She very nearly sighed at the cushion-like feel. Instead she stayed quiet and breathed deeply. Sabia, on the other hand, let go a deep sigh of appreciation. The red lioness already had a reputation and felt no need to protect it with the little pleasures of the world. Once she had relaxed a touch she cleared her throat and look to Floki for direction.
The traveling hadn't felt that long, they couldn't already be at their destination? OR could they..
----
"So!.." The lion boomed. "For some of you, this is your first time. Others, you are already aware of what I may be about to say as it is common sense." He appeared grumpy, standoffish and aggressive. Perhaps that was just his normal?
"There is only one rule and it may not even save you. Listen to yer Captain, no matter what."
One of the other members, one with no name, began to call out sarcastically, but was cut off by a stare. "Cmon, we begin our crawl here." With that he crouched and pulled forward, as the crew moved a ruin of caves came into view. It was likely that there were treasures - maybe even a few unfortunate souls left here.

The male looked to two females who had made it up just after him. Zjarri seemed to have gotten the hang on the terrain nearly at the end and he felt proud for her. Were they among the pirates he would have encouraged her to continue the trek. He was not however in the pirates and he did not wish to draw to attention to himself. Not yet anyway. He was still coming to grips with the fact he was here, among... the once enemy. He saw the angry green lioness come up a little after looking winded. Still bitter he noted with the look on her face. Wandering closer to the blue and red female he stayed on his paws, in case they were to move again Questioning the red female quietly, "What's yer name? I be a curious sort." He hoped he would give it to him but he guessed she might not. "I get it if ye dun wanna be tellin' me. Jus, say so." Something was forming between the two lioness he stood near. Branderyn, his faithful and loving companion nestled herself in his dark mane. Regaling herself in the soft fur. Was it her or was it getting a tiny bit cold? The green lioness glowered at the three who seemed to be getting cozy with each other. Whatever. That was fine she would just stick with the group and listen to their Captain. Her golden eyes falling upon Captain Floki.

"Sabia`Deimos."
Respectfully she whispered in return - not wanting to disrupt their movement towards whatever end goal the Captain had. She also hadn't any reason to keep her name to herself. Zjarri looked to her red companion and grinned deeply, this was a pretty big step. A step that would likely have never been taken had the blue lioness not approached her about being some muscle for her upcoming ventures. It would seem the lioness had zero intentions of looking to be Captain - not for a long while, if ever. So the agreement was quick and easy, one that Zjarri will always remember as the moment time stood still. Fear had swelled in her throat that day and she doesn't recalling breathing.
"Cythraul, any idea where they may be taking us?" Zjarri was peering forward now and forgot about her previous engagements. Now she was focused on the task at hand, the task was vital, but Floki was nothing like Bousvor - who had explained steps and more, he hadn't given any key points of information. Moments like these she wished she was back with Bousvor. That was when she spied the bird, perfect! "Would Branderyn be able to scout ahead?"
The blue lioness made a personal note that a bird would be ideal as a familiar for near future endeavors. She gave herself a brief moment to try and think where she would obtain one, perhaps she could get Branderyns help with that as well. Scouting was a crucial part of all this and eyes in the skies would be perfect.
-----
"If ye' be asking anymore questions please ask the Captain." The disgruntled stared directly at the trio - he too noticed how cuddly they seemed to be getting and grumped about this as well. "Spread out. When we get to the caves we will be wanting to clear out what we can and hope that nothing shows up."
The dark lion seemed to shudder at the thought of something, but whatever that was he kept it to himself and kept moving ahead.

Branderyn ruffled her feathers and did her best impression of a glower at the blue female. "I'm right here." The words were low enough for her to hear. It wasn't threatening just annoyed she was being spoken about like she was not even there. "I can scout ahead. Get a better idea of the area but I'm not going into that cave by myself." Stating the last part matter of factly. When the Captain took notice the raven tried to dig herself more into the male's mane who made a disgruntled sound. "Branderyn." He hissed as quietly as he could but looked at the Captain. This was not how he wanted to start this. "Stick with them, I'm going to venture forward." As the little bird fluttered off of him and landed at the feet of the females. "Don't eat me." She cooed as she watched Cythraul begin towards the cave. She knew he had seen him see an almost worried look on the Captain's face. The male however walked with purpose as he headed towards the cave. He had seen the look on their Captain's face and was curious as to what had happened here. Had they been ambushed? It was possible. As he got closer he could smell some kind of rot. There was something in there but what it was he wasn't sure what it was. What had happened here. That's when he felt the brush of someone else. Curare and a few of the others seemed to be gathering around with the green female looking smug as she started forward towards the entrance. There was treasures in there. The light of the sun caused something to glimmer in the cave.

The blue lioness shrugged an apology towards the bird - she hadn't meant to ignore the poor ruffled Branderyn, but she had been so excited by her own idea that she had over looked the detail that she was right there. Zjarri, not one to fall behind, was quick to follow her newest friend and someone she would consider an ally down the road, Cythraul. The female followed suit, appearing strong ; confident and prepared for anything. Her eyes were on high alert and her ears flicked about rapidly, listening for any signs of movement.
Her moment was over when she realized that he had started a movement, she immediately noticed Sabia by her side - which wouldn't be uncalled for, given their recent alliance, but the rest of their Viking? To say the blue lioness was grumpy would be an understatement, but she chose not to let this show and instead aimed for bigger goals."Cmon Sabia." She almost growled under her breath and as her words faded she pushed through the group a touch, peering into the cave a bit further, what could possibly be in her for her to find.
It was in this moment that she decided when she were to become a Captain she would, only rarely, entertain the thought of caves for a bunch of newbies. How did their Captain expect them to work under these conditions? Sabia had been thinking the same things, though neither lioness knew this. She glared in the direction of their Captain, who should have been entering the cave and yet he remained outside. "Hm."
Zjarri looked in the direction Sabia was glancing and heard the thoughtful sound. "What are you thinking?"Shaking her head slightly to indicate she wasn't sure she kept staring that way. "Did we enter this cave to soon? Should we have properly scouted first?" With those few words the red lioness showed her age a bit. Youngsters had dove into the cave and unfortunately the pair of them had followed.
It just seemed the Captain knew more than he let on.
-----
Floki caught the eyes of his crew glance towards him warily. He, himself, was a touch nervous with how the crew had simply taken over the venture. This was not how a Viking should be run and with thoughts like that running around his mind he felt a little crazy. The dark lion held on though.
"What're ya doing in there?"
The anger did show through a small touch as he approached the mouth of the cave a little further. The acts here were almost treasonous in his eyes, but he wouldn't call out any such words among new folk.

The dark male looked back at his Captain. Were he with the pirates this would have been fine. Scout the area, make sure where were no problems, then loot. Sounded reasonable to him to have done this but maybe he should have asked first. "Captain! Jus' scoutin' ahead ta make sure thar be no problems. It be clear." At least as far as he could tell it was clear enough inside the cave. Just the ungodly smell. It did look like there might be treasure inside though. He did not answer the two females but he cocked his head in the direction of what he could see better now. There was much treasure in there, all manner of shiny things. A good haul if all of them brought it back. "I did na mean ta disrespect you Captain." He did not dip his head but held his ground before the large male. If Floki wanted he could have Cythraul be a very powerful warrior on these raids of his. The dark male was accustomed to fighting and putting 'cubs' in their places by any means necessary. If his Captain commanded it. He would do it again. The large Captain came padding his way over. Still trying to hide how visible shaken he was about these caves. It wasn't so much the cave itself it was what had happened here with another raiding party. "I didn't say you could go here." He growled out lower so they could hear. The green female hung back. Cautious of what was going on. The rest of the war band was ever so slowly making their way towards the group. Wondering if it was safe to go there. Curare annoyed wanted to get closer to the small band who seemed to be getting along but also did not want to have any problems. Just get what they could take, maybe even a thrall could be found in there. She stopped and let a few others walk forward.

Zjarri eyeballed the situation and swore she spied something akin to fear in the way the Captain reacted. To say she was now unsure under his command was an understatement. It was her understanding that the Captains were proven fearless and capable under any situation, now she hadn't heard about these caves - nor any incidents related to them, but for the blue lioness this wasn't relevant.
Even though it was the blue lioness who had reacted to the situation, by gracefully stepping back a touch, it was Sabia that spoke up. Head cocked in a fashion that allowed her eyes to darken beneath her skull mask and pelt to shift on her shoulders. "Cap. mind explaining what you are babbling about?" It was clear she had an issue respecting those she considered of weaker body or mind. The instant she didn't feel his power anymore she lost the will to 'follow'.
The blue lioness stood there, slightly speechless by the chosen words of her companion. They weren't what she had expected and suddenly she began to wonder just who she had made an alliance with. Zjarri glanced at the green female and watched as she peered forward - what about the other one? - her thoughts rambled on in her head.
They were crazy. Crazy often survived.
This was something she was beginning to learn.

The Captain looked to each of the ones at the mouth of the cave and then at the ones coming closer towards the group. "Just grab what you can from there and let's get our haul out." Wild fools they were. Floki did not want to explain what it was that set him off edge about this place. Just wanted to be done with it all. Giving the male a nod Cythraul went into the cave first. It could be stupidity or bravery, just depended on who you were. He could see a few things that looked of value to the pride and snatched a few in his maw. Even a bag to maybe drag the things back in. If they were lucky anyway. Branderyn helped as much as she could as she went into the cave looking at a few of the items, some of them sticking into Cythraul's mane which probably looked quite hilarious. Curare ventured just a bit deeper in to find a few trinkets she could loop together and carry within her maw. It was a decent haul with no real issues. Just the constant smell of rot within. They stuck mostly close to the entrance, deciding that venturing further into this large cave might be a bad idea from how their Captain reacted to it. He did not have to share his secrets if he did not wish to. They would be heading out after everyone gathered at least something. Getting back down would be somewhat easier than the climb up here. Cythraul would want to eventually check this place out again. Maybe with the two females even. For now, it was just a one time deal and probably would forget about it. "Get ready to leave. We've got all we can take." Captain Floki's voice boomed as he surveyed them all. No thralls were captured but this was a good take.

Suddenly everything became so rushed that Zjarri and Sabia simply backed off upon gathering some small jewels. It was during this moment that Zjarri learned of a small pocket hidden beneath the cloak of her red partner.
There the pair of them hid their jewels and any other prizes they were able to snatch before they were basically pushed from the cave and sight of their other companions and Captain.
"Why do you think he rushed us out of there?" The blue lioness' tail twitched ever so slightly behind her at the thought of what else could be in there. What could it have been to cause such a stir in their fearless leader? Of course she also shouldn't be questioning the Captains judgement, but it was just off. "I haven't the foggiest." It was in times like these that Zjarri hoped the red lioness would say something more than vague. But all she could do was hope.
"Probably something to do with that smell."
The blue lioness whipped her head towards her companion, startled that she had any other words left in her. She seemed to have grown a larger quota since their last encounter.
Well, all that was in the past as it would seem. The Captain was already on his way out and leading them away before she could think more on the subject. Soon they would be home and that was that.
