Sailor Ptolemaeus sat atop a slide one late afternoon in a children's playground. He stared down at the bottom with a vacant expression on his face. Children. How he disliked children. Envied them, though. How could they enjoy such a simple structure such as this playground? It was little more than a glorified obstacle course. How much fun could be derived from climbing up and sliding down over and over? What joy could be garnered from shifting around sand or making oneself swing back and forth with the shift of one's weight? He just didn't get it.
At the same time, though, he envied them because they had fun. Regardless of how pointless or non-productive it seemed to be, kids had fun on playgrounds. Whether through their own imaginations or playing with each other with some made-up goal in mind or simply being active while enjoying the freedom of running around aimlessly and being carefree, they found happiness there. It was a happiness that seemed so elusive to the goal-driven adults of the real world who forgot what was so great about such time-wasting activities.
Ptolemaeus had been a child once, too. Where had that naievity and innocence gone? Lost to the corruption of the real world, no doubt. Each child went through it one by one. Sure, there were some that claimed to stay young at heart, but there was only so much of one's heart that could remain unchanged. As the senshi of change, Ptolemaeus knew that better than most. Innocence, happiness, carefree childhood days of the past, the people who experienced them, the memories of those times...everything changed.
It was pointless to dwell on the joy a playground could bring when one could no longer understand it. The senshi bitterly slid down the slide and felt nothing doing so. Perhaps some kids would come along and show him how they found the fun that seemed to elude him. He didn't expect to be able to experience it like they did, but at the very least, he could gather the energy that children seemed to be so full of.a-disgruntled-dragon ((Please let me know if there's anything I need to change!))

Iduna hung out at the park out of habit. When she'd awoken as a senshi, at the age of eleven, it was a safe place for her to fight against youma with relatively little interference from anyone. She'd met a few people there, but generally it was left alone and she valued it as a safe haven. A safe haven from the harsh realities of the world that threatened to destroy what little innocence she had left.
There was a war going on, to be sure, but sometimes the most vicious things were those closer to home.
This particular afternoon, Iduna wandered into the park following the energy signature of what she assumed was a youma. It was slightly more powerful than normal, but the playground would help give her vantage points to attack from or hide.
She didn't expect to find another senshi there, let alone one who gave off the same energy as the Rift had. Less oppressive, but still very Chaos.
"Who're you?" she asked cautiously, coming around a climbing wall. He kind of looked like a senshi except... well he looked more like a Power Ranger if she was honest, or some sort of edgy anime character (said the young teen literally wearing bright green and red with lace). Iduna eyed him, not sure what to make of him just yet.Kitomyx Sorry for the wait! Work ate me.

Dark eyes glanced up as a young girl appeared from behind a climbing wall. The teen remained where he sat, hunched over at the bottom of the slide, but kept his gaze on the child who had addressed him with her question. He regarded her for a few silent seconds before finally responding with a cheshire cat grin.
"Name's Sailor Ptolemaeus," he answered, "the Dark Mirror Senshi of Change. But you know, it's pretty rude to ask who other people are before you've introduced yourself, Little Miss White Moon Senshi. Didn't your mother ever teach you any manners?"
From what he could tell, she seemed to be alone. Had she happened upon him by chance, or did she come here looking for a fight? Maybe she hadn't met a senshi of the Dark Mirror Court before and wasn't yet sure whether to regard him as an enemy or not.a-disgruntled-dragon ((No problem! That happens to me pretty often as of late, too. sweatdrop ))

Wow pre...pre.... what was the word? Stuck up? Stuck up, yes. She looked up at him, a mixture of a pout and a glare, regarding the raver senshi with mild annoyance. Why did all adults have to be like this? So insulting and down talking to kids her age? Or was it just the Chaos that powered him that made him such a buttface? Both?
Both.
Iduna placed her hands on her hips, stepping out from her barracade ever so slightly and leveled a stare at him. "You know, no one asked you to be rude. Or maybe that's what the Negaverse does, makes you all rude and nasty." Yes, that's right Iduna, goad the older Dark Mirror senshi. Because that will end so very well for you.
"I don't think I want to tell my name to such a rude person." Iduna continued, full of sass and a veil of bravery she hoped was too thick for him to see through.

"Huh? But I was the one who introduced myself," Ptolemy chuckled. "How does that make me rude?" Shaking his head with a pitying smile, he stood up. "And I think you're missing something, here, sweetheart. Dark Mirror Senshi don't really have much to do with the Negaverse. We just both have Chaotic energy signatures, but we're still very different."
Regarding her with a heavy sigh, he said, "You remind me of my little sister, you know. I'm pretty sure she hates my guts." Ptolemaeus spread his arms and gave the girl a shrug. "Well, if you don't want to tell me your name, that's your choice, but that just means I'm going to call you whatever I want until you do." Smirking, he raised a brow. "Or did you come here to fight me rather than talk?"a-disgruntled-dragon ((AHHH I'm SO sorry, somehow I forgot that I owed this rp a tag! @_@))
