Mini-Chapter 2: Festivals

Quote:
Tale
The annual gathering of the chieftains has begun, and it is a time where all the tribes across Tale have made the journey to the gathering. This year, the chieftains agreed to house the gathering outside of Vers and Yware. It is here where the tribes will meet, the chieftains to discuss the state of Tale while the tribesman will trade wares, exchange stories, and simply celebrate another year of prosperity among their tribes.

Vers

The word had gone out to the villages of Tale, this year the meeting of the chieftains would be spread out between Vers and Yware, the southern-most villages of Tale. While the leaders of Tale came together to report to each other and discuss the direction of their nation, the common people were left to trade, shop, talk, and generally celebrate a successful year.

The stalls had already been prepped for sales, the food vendors setting out unimaginable amounts of sweets and snacks, all working towards getting the people to buy more after they've had a taste.

It was a day for merriment and celebration. After the rebuilding of the Oban war, life in Tale had finally returned to prosperity. The towns were growing, the trade from outside countries increasing and helping to give the people a better life. It was the perfect time for partying and later a bonfire to light the entire sky.

Jacinthus - Post 1

There was a small part of Jacin that wished that he was a Chieftain if only to know exactly what it was that they were talking about. At the same time he knew that such a title came with a massive boat load of responsibilities that he didn't think he was quite ready for. Sure, he had a handful of students that he was training to be hunters that would serve Yera's best interests, but that was different. The difference between a half dozen people and an entire village was vast, making him feel as though he weren't quite ready for all of that. Still, he was quite curious.

He meant to do what he'd been planning on doing for a while though, taking a break so that he could just relax with his mate. It was something that he felt they deserved after everything that they had to deal with to this point. Not to mention how completely buried in their work the two of them were. Jacinthus and his students, Takoda and his students, not to mention the other work that they did around Yera and beyond. Taking a few days off to enjoy a festival sounded grand. It would be the closest thing that they had to a vacation in ages, though he still wanted to bring Takoda on a real vacation one day where the two of them could just relax and do nothing. Which sounded good in theory though Jacinthus was never one to sit around idly.

He could just call the festival practice for a possible vacation he thought to himself before he moved off to find Takoda. Once he'd found him he'd see where his mate wanted to go first since there seemed to be plenty to do.

Aysun - Post 1

Aysun stretched out all over before giving a bit of a sighing sound, looking out over the festival grounds before he found himself wondering how he wanted to spend the festival. He'd been hoping to go with Chandra, wanting to help to cheer up his brother a bit, but it seemed that his twin wasn't going to be going. As such he'd be going into the festival alone, which was a bit of a shame. Still, there were others that he could meet with, chat with, maybe even Issaly if he was still around? He'd mentioned that he was going to try to meet with one of his brothers so maybe he'd been where that brother was? He supposed he wouldn't know until he actually started to wander around the festival grounds.

For the time being, to keep anyone from being overwhelmed or freaked out, Aysun had left his beasts outside the fairgrounds where they could enjoy themselves without worry. The last thing he wanted was to cause a stampede among his beasts or a riot among the festival goers. It seemed that heading inside with just Flower, his sprite and 'second in command' at his side was the best bet.

Glancing at the sprite he said, "Let's keep an eye out for anyone we know, alright?" Aysun was completely open to meeting with new people but he'd also be keeping his eyes open for anyone he might know as well. It was a festival so the more the merrier if you asked him.

Dovev (Post 1)
~~~~~~~~~~
Dovev found himself walking where no Matorian had ever gone before, but in the end it was not the places that caught his eye, or the joys of travel that moved his steps. No, it was as it always had been: Dovev followed the money. Or the equivalent.
His most recent job had left him with a tidy sum of goods and coin, and had very fortuitously left him in the Tale right as the trade festival was about to commence. Clearly, this was a great oppurtunity to resupply, improve his equipment, and procure further contracts and jobs.
Very fortuitous indeed.
He surveyed the stands first, partaking of a small snack before moving on to the more interesting trade goods stalls. What would he find here, he wondered. What indeed.
Issaly- Post 1
The healer walked lightly as he smiled at everything around him. His scar was visible though it had come a long way. He twirled once with a chuckle as Therus flew past him. "Hey you better be looking for our friends now."
He had left Abysio, Saalin and Ullyee in a safe spot. Most likely Abysio was seeking out someone they knew. Issaly noted that the janarim had gotten good at finding Maw. He hummed then blinked as Therus got all excited before diving. Issaly rushed forward coming around the corner to see Aysun and Flower.
"Hey!" he jogged up, his beads tinkling on his hip. He smiled as he leaned to the side to look up at Aysun. "Seems, Therus found his best friend." Isaaly said looking up as Therus hugged Flower.
Niadra Post One
        She loved festivals! Festivals meant dancing, and it meant that everyone got together. Both her family's troupe and the one she had traveled with for some time was there and it was good to see those that she hadn't seen in a long time. The two troupes didn't welcome her with open arms right away, but after she told them of her school and how good it was doing and they saw just how happy she was they seemed to brighten to the idea of her. There was also the fact that her mother was giving everyone a hard look from her families troupe. Niadra might not being the troupe anymore, but she was still family.
        She already had a dance planned out for the bonfire, one she would do with some of her students, but for now she was happy to just mingle and talk to those she hadn't seen lately. She had been very busy with the school as of late, and honestly ever since she settled down with Nyiim she didn't travel as much. Not that she minded, she would pick him over traveling any day, but it did mean she got to see less people.
Barihn Post 1
The young leaf was nervous to be outside of his comfort zone. He had been to the festivals before, but that was a different time. He was different then. Now he felt safer in his tree house than in the company of others. At least his tree house and animal companions were quiet. All the noises from the booths and people made him squirm. The forest was his haven, but eventually he had to branch out. He knew that of course, but it didn't mean he had to like it by any means.
SATHE Post 1
Sathe pushed the basket she had with her onto her hips. It was that time again. Everyone was coming together for the summer markets, and the chieftains were gathering for their big meeting, whatever that was about. Sathe was just so happy to be out of Yera. She loved her hometown, but she could still feel smothered, that was a mild version of the truth.
She had been there waiting, hoping that a letter would come, a letter from someone who seemed so long ago in her past now. Where he even was at this point, Sathe had no idea. She prayed for him, hoped he was alright, but had given up hope she would see him again. It crushed her at first, but with time she was slowly bouncing back to who she used to be and not the sullen mess of a person that came after the war.
[Sathe is open for interactions if anyone wants to meet a clay sculpting healer.]
Dovev (Post 2)
~~~~~~~~~~

Dovev browsed thoughtfully. There were many interesting things here, but he knew that he had to restrict himself to merely practical things. There was only so much he could carry with him, after all. He was moving while walking, trusting himself to avoid any obstacles, a trust very nearly misplaced as some very interesting medicines caught his eye.

He managed to stop himself before crashing into the young woman. "Apologies." he said, bowing, a little annoyed with himself for the near collision.

SwordOfTheDarkOnes

Aysun - Post 2

Turning his attention to Flower he watched as the sprite was suddenly rushing off away from him... and was then getting a hug from Therus. A good sign that his friend was around he thought to himself, glancing around before he spotted Issaly coming his way. A smile appearing on his face as he moved to meet his friend in the middle, "I'm glad to see you, Issaly, I was wondering if you'd be here or if you were still going to be out seeking your brothers. Did you have any luck?"

He wasn't sure what he'd do if he wasn't able to find Chandra. Likely he'd lose his mind as his twin quite important to him after all. So yeah, without him he didn't think he'd be himself any longer. As such he was cheering Issaly on with finding his missing brothers... and getting on with the one called Isaris again.

"How about you tell me how it's going while we walk?" He said, before adding in a curious voice, "How's the leg? You are alright with a lot of walking around the festival, right?" Best that he made sure.

SATHE Post 2

Sathe was busy at the stalls, keeping an eye out for anything new and interesting she could use for spells. Some herbs caught her attention and she stopped short, reaching out an arm to touch the product and inspect. Well this did look useful.

She didn't realize that her abrupt stopping had left the man behind her having to avoid nearly running her over. She turned her head, hearing the voice, but it wasn't registering yet. Apologies? Ohhh... She had done it again. She smiled to the stranger and, with a little hesitation nodded her head in a faux bow. "Oh! It was my fault!" She straightened herself out and propped her basket on her knee. "I should really watch where I'm going."

Issaly- Post 2

Issaly nodded excitedly. "Yes! I met one a few days ago! I don't think he said he'd make it to the festivals. He might be going around looking for the others." He smiled as he suddenly hugged Aysun. He was just that excited. "The forehead stones. Aysun. Their legit...he confirmed it. I have a surefire way to find them!" he felt like crying, but knew not to.

He pulled away from Aysun nodding. "I'm fine really. I think my own magic is kicking in. The scar is lessening everyday it seems."

Dovev (Post 3)
~~~~~~~~~~
"No, no." Dovev replied, in his stilted way, "This one insists that the fault is his... Are you all right?" He glanced to the ground, "Nothing fallen, this one hopes?" It didn't look like it, but it was good form to ask just as it was good form to take the blame. In truth, it was likely both of their faults - one stopping abruptly, one not properly looking where they were going - but Dovev felt more comfortable with being at fault.
"Were you looking at the herbs, by chance?" he asked, a sudden thought occurring to him. That had been where she had stopped, after all. "Are you, perhaps, knowledgable about herbs?"
