Where had the time gone? Karmi had spent ages ignoring it, after the strange conversation with a cat. Something recently had been pulling her back though, something out there that she needed to know or see. It was that urging that had lead to tonight, where she was out, powered. If only had it not been so vague. She knew so little, only that there was a sense of duty or some other reason to be out.
And enemies.
From what she gathered, they were here and there, generally out at night and she was what was standing in the way of hurting innocent people. That was the easy part to understand. Now, as Nashira, was where things got complicated. What the cat had not mentioned was the how she was supposed to do such a thing.
So it was that this particular night she had decided to take a run, and had transformed herself along the way, now making her way in the park. Adrenaline was rushing through her veins. She hadn't seen anyone from the Negaverse yet, nor another Senshi, but figured she would be able to discern them quickly enough.
Or that was the running theory anyways. She slid to a stop after a long burst of running, looking at her surroundings as she caught her breath. So far it had been nothing, and she'd avoided someone seeing her. But it was just couples walking, drunk men on their way home and rambunctious teens so far. Nothing that really required her help.
"Just what am I doing?" She muttered, leaning against a nearby tree. Was she going to find someone like this? Was this how it was done? She had too many questions and no answers for it. She started to think her night would end rather uneventfully.Kitomyx I hope this is an okay intro!

"Oh. Another senshi," a cheerful voice remarked from a thicket of park trees somewhere nearby. "I was wondering about that Order energy signature I sensed. For a minute, I was worried it was another page or knight or whatever. Those guys are so stiff. No fun at all!"
Emerging into the lamp light of a nearby light post, a hooded senshi appeared with a Chaotic energy signature that marked him as being of the Dark Mirror Court. He grinned at the pink-haired girl, his six-foot-three, colorfully-clothed figure contrasting sharply against the darkness of his backdrop. "I was just out collecting energy with my little mirrorwraith. I'd ask what you were up to, but let me guess - you planned on stopping me?"
He didn't sound angry or annoyed; if anything, his tone sounded delighted as if he had been waiting for a senshi of the White Moon to come along. "Name's Sailor Ptolemaeus; Dark Mirror Senshi of Change. And who might I have the honor of being graced with the presence of this evening?"Never Crazy ((It's perfect! heart Thanks so much for starting it! If you want to play again, I'd be happy to start the next one. ^_^))

The voice was cold and sent a shiver down her spine and she jumped, hands up in a defensive stance while her eyes searched for the culprit. Not that he was hard to find at all. It was slower than it should have been, perhaps, but she could feel something radiating out from the hooded figure. Something that made her skin crawl and she gave him a sharp look.
How can someone dressed THAT colorful be an enemy? She thought to herself, but his voice was catching her off guard. He was happy to see her? For a moment she faltered and then got her courage again, glaring back at him again before staring blankly. Dark Mirror? She really had been out of it, she didn't remember exactly what they were but the aura was radiating as dangerous.
"Sailor Nashira, Senshi of Fate." She said, with newfound strength in her voice, squaring against him. "And if you're taking energy, then of course that's my plan!" It was tough talk, of course, but even with her athletic skills as good as they were her senshi skills were lacking to say the least. Maybe it would be enough in this case though?
"Nothing graceful about it. So how about we skip to the point, friend?" She gritted her teeth. Something about the way he spoke, the patronizing way... Immediately she wanted to wipe that grin off of his face. Somehow. Now she was buying time to think, to feel deep inside again as to what she could do.

"Fate? My, that is an intriguing one," he laughed. "Pleasure to meet you, sweetheart. And I mean that sincerely." Ptolemaeus pulled back his hood and began to walk toward her with a calm smile. "I'm relatively new to this, but it seems like we're pretty even in our power levels if our energy signatures are any indication, so I hope we can have some fun."
Noticing her obvious sarcasm in calling him 'friend', the dark mirror senshi tilted his head. "Aww, no need to get mad. It's just a little energy. These people will never even miss it," he added, gesturing at the entirety of the park and its occupants. "If we're going to exchange blows, though, we might as well enjoy ourselves doing it, right?" He cast her a sly wink.

Fun? Her eyes never left him and she gave him a grimace, staring at him as his hood was down now. Surely he had to be like her outside of this. A person, a teen perhaps, somewhere going to school or working. Maybe older or younger. Thinking about that made her sick and she shook her head, a hand on her head.
"Oye, is this really how you talk to people?" She grumbled and stared at him. "I don't think that's up to you to decide is it?" Nashira retorted, staring back at him cautiously. He had mentioned them being around the same level. That was good, at least. If she could stop him now, that'd be the end of it. Though she wasn't certain how that was going to be accomplished.
Then there was the wink.
"Maybe for one of us." She said through gnashed teeth. It wasn't enough yet, trying to remember something deeply locked away, trying to get to the surface. So instead she came at him, using her track and field training to move fast towards him, aiming for a tackle It probably wasn't graceful, but it was something, at least. Kitomyx Hahaha she's still really new at this.

"Pretty much. Why wouldn't it be?" Ptolemaeus asked, surprised by the girl's question of if that was how he talked to people. He couldn't really argue about whether or not it was up to him to decide if the people would miss their stolen energy, though. Instead, he shrugged. "Energy is a renewable resource. It's not like they can't make more. But since I doubt either of us is going to see eye to eye on that matter, might as well drop it. Fighting with magic is more entertaining, anyway."
Sighing, the dark mirror senshi spread his arms. "Suit yourself, cupcake. I don't know why you wouldn't try to enjoy everything you do when most people's goal in life is to make the most of it, but hey, what do I know? We just met. Maybe you already hate all those with Chaotic energy signatures on principle."
His eyes got wide as she ran forward to tackle him, his surprise appearing to prevent him from doing anything to stop her. Instead, he fell backward upon impact, wincing as his body hit the ground hard with her on top of him. For a moment he just stared up at her, looking dumbfounded. Then he cast her a crooked grin. "Whoa; you've got spunk."Never Crazy ((XD It's all good! Ptolemaeus is new, too. And a bit of a weirdo.))

When they collided she hadn't been anticipating that he was going to fall and they both hit and she glared down at him. "That spunk is going to get you hurt." She said through gritted teeth. Now what?! The thought rang out and her hand moved out to strike him, but she missed and got herself free, staring back at him. The way he spoke was weird, and was getting on her nerves, she was glad she got him down, but now she was staring at him, hands up in a defensive position.
Looks like that mandatory self defense class was worth it. She thought. But how far were physical attacks really going to get. Green hues stared back at him again. Okay, come on, senshi power, senshi power... That was getting her no where and she stared at him. "I thought you said exchange blows." Maybe if she saw him do something, she could do something. It was so confusing for her and she watched him carefully, moving close enough in for another blow, if she could reach.

Ptolemaeus smirked at the White Moon senshi's warning. "Well it's not like pain is something I can't handle." He blinked when she reached out to hit him but didn't. "Uh...have you done this before, angel-face?" he asked, unable to hide his amusement. "Not sure that's how you fight someone."
Chuckling at her comment about exchanging blows, he gave her a mischievous look. "That I did. Thought I'd give you the opportunity to make the first move since I'm not much of a physical fighter myself, but...if you really want me to have a go..."
With her watching him so intently, the dark mirror senshi couldn't resist. Making an effort to push himself up a little from where she had him pinned on the ground, he lifted his head and craned his neck enough to try moving his face close enough to kiss her nose.

The darkness in her eyes could potentially put the sun out as she glared back again. He had a point though, she hadn't done it before. She wasn't even sure if this was considered a good fight, bad fight or just the average. Nashira refused to budge just yet though, she glared at the look. "I just-!" When he got that close she had to move back from him, staring at him again.
What is it about this guy? He was on her nerves, certainly, and she really wanted to teach him a lesson.
It was maybe that urge that spawned her to remember, or figure it out but something clicked into her head and she looked at her hands. I can do something! There was a small smile and she leaned back. "You can have this instead!" She pulled back and moved her arms forward. "Destiny Strings!" And around her arms came the strings, twisting and moving outward towards their target, to tie around him and bind him. At least make him a solitary target. That was her hope at least.Kitomyx Her attack has never been used before so I'm sorry if it's clunky haha ;;

When the girl smiled, Ptolemaeus raised a brow. He might have thought she looked prettier with that smile except for the fact that he was pretty certain it meant something bad for him. He figured out what that something was when she moved her arms forward and called out what was unmistakably a senshi attack.
"Uh-oh," he uttered, not liking the sounds of that. Flinging out his own arms, the Dark Mirror scout attempted to counter her magic with his own. "Change of Subject," he said, hurling what appeared to be strands of light from the mood rings on each of his fingers.
The strands created a net which was hurtled toward Nashira's strings. Ptolemaeus' eyes were wide, watching and waiting to see whether or not his decision to use his ability had been a good idea. His attack was pretty unpredictable after all, especially if he didn't know the attack he was using it on.Never Crazy ((Nooo, you're fine! I love seeing other senshi's attacks! XD I just feel bad because if Ptolemaeus' attack against hers is successful, then hers won't be doing what it's supposed to do.
Regarding the full details of 'Change of Subject', they're here, but basically if his attack was successful, his net's effect causes an attempted ally/enemy magic attack to continue without hindrance, but with its effects completely reversed.
You, as the player of Nashira, can interpret the reversal of the attack and how it affects her magic as you see fit!))

Her attack fired and she was grinning as it worked, feeling like it would wipe that smirk off his face. It managed that at least, but then she heard him use his attack. Change of what? Strings were still dancing off of her hands but once they hit the strands of light they started to behave strangely, turning back on herself. "Woah!!!" Nashira moved back, but her strings moved back, tying around herself and she fell, hopping back up on her feet.
"Crap...."
She was confused, staring down at herself wrapped in red string. Her arms were stuck at her sides, though her legs were free. Aghast, she glared back at the Dark Mirror Senshi, staring for a moment and she wiggled. Something about the way she was tangled up told her that something had gone amiss. Mostly, whatever he had done made this happen.
Nashira was in a predicament now, staring at her enemy and backing up, tied and confused. Yet the annoyance was worse now. What was she going to do now?Kitomyx Ah that's a fun attack! No worried there, it'll take her a while to know what it does and this is a great learning experience! C:

"Wow. That worked out better than I'd hoped," Ptolemy remarked, pushing himself up onto his feet to examine the effects of the combined attacks. "And you were going to do that to me? Yikes."
Circling Nashira, he tried very hard not to smile as he didn't want to aggravate her any more than she obviously was. "Just lucky this time, I think. Sometimes my own attack backfires on me, you know, but seems like you got the short end of the stick for this round."
Stopping to stand before her, he tapped a finger to his chin thoughtfully. "I wonder what I should do with you now. Drain your energy, maybe? Or take you to a superior of mine to imprison you in mirrorspace?" Chuckling softly, he reached out a hand to ruffle the hair on the top of her head.
"That wouldn't be a very good experience for a new senshi, though, I'd imagine," he murmured, his gaze over her softening. "Especially not one as cute as you." He used the crook of his finger to try tilting her head up slightly so he could get a better look at his face.
Then he withdrew his hand and took a step back, planting his fists on his hips instead as he regarded the White Moon senshi. "Tell you what. Since the outcome of our 'fight' seemed like a luck of the draw, it wouldn't be fair of me to take advantage just because you happened to lose this round. Since we're both pretty new, it's not like I won due to experience or strategy or anything.
"So how about we call this fight a draw? I call back my mirrorwraith, cut you free, and we both go home without any more harm done tonight. Sound good?" He tilted his head at her. "Us Dark Mirror senshi aren't like the Negaverse, you know. We're not exactly goodie-two-shoes, but we're not evil, either."Never Crazy ((Thank you! XD I think it's kinda a shame, too, though, because I really liked Nashira's attack and how it goes with her sphere.))

Nashira was grumbling, trying to get out of her own attack and stared back at him as he patronized her. Scowling, she glared back at him with fire in her eyes and she watched him as he got closer. "Hey!" She moved back quickly as her hair was tussled and it fluffed up on her head, which only made her more upset and she huffed, trying to blow some strands back into place and she glared again.
"Come again?" She said, with a lifted eyebrow.
She was frustrated, angry, embarrassed all at the same time and wasn't sure what game he was playing at and she gave him a skeptical look back. "It's hard to believe that considering everything else." She retorted, mumbling to herself and stared back down. The red strings around here were loosening, but she was still a tangled mess, her legs were free but running like that would make everything 100x worse, and she didn't want that at all.
Plus it was her first time actually out and about among people, and fighting. A soft, exasperated sigh left her lips and she glared back at him. "And how do you expect me to trust you? Just like that?" So far she had only felt his aura, so at least he was the only one around. "How do I know it's not some kind of trick?"

Ptolemaeus' eyes flickered from Nashira's face to the loosening red stings and back again. He guessed he didn't have much time, but nothing about his tone or behavior suggested he was worried about her getting free from her binds.
"You don't," he responded to her question regarding if his proposal was a trick. "And I don't expect you to trust me. But I am asking you to." He took out his mirror shard and began backing up slowly.
"I'm going to go find my mirrorwraith now and return it to this shard. You look like you'll be free soon even without my help, so I'll leave you be. You can follow after me if you want, then. Or you can go with my suggestion, believe that I'll keep my word, and call it a night. The choice is yours."

Her eyes never left him, but his response confused her and her head tilted again, glancing to the mirror shard as he took it out. "...." She let out another huff and her hair finally moved out of her face while the strings were loosening. There was nothing for it and she shook her head.
"Fine."
It sounded defeated and slowly the strings returned and she moved her arms out, staring again at her enemy. Or was he an enemy? The behavior didn't match what she'd been told when she had her awakening. It was completely different, and she wasn't sure she liked that. It was easy to not like an enemy, a bad person, but this was different.
Nashira took a step back, still looking at him with that judging look, frowning. "Any funny business and I'll know."
