We’ve had 15 inkredible Splatfests so far! While the good times in Inkopolis will continue to roll on, the next Splatfest will be… drumroll, please… the final Splatfest.

Time and time again, we’ve heard you pledge allegiance not to your favorite team choice, but to your favorite Squid Sister. Now, it’s time to show your support in the Squid Sisters Showdown! The theme is: Are you Team Callie or Team Marie?

The showdown begins at 2 AM PT on Friday, July 22, until 2 AM PT on Sunday, July 24. This will be the last Splatfest extravaganza, and we’d like everyone to have a blast!

The last Splatfest will be taking place (almost) at the same time in all regions. However the matchups will be different – the players in Japan will be matched up with those in Japan, and the players in North America and Europe will be matched up with each other. The Top 100 Players will also be tallied and announced separately for Japan region and for North America and Europe regions. Though the results will be collected from all regions, they will be combined together and announced at the same time.

In-game announcement and voting will start at 7 PM PT on Monday, July 4. Until then, please prepare yourself for the hardest decision you’ll make in your lifetime by doing some soul searching, going on a walkabout, meditating or just reading Squid Sisters fan fiction.

Oh yeah, we forgot to mention one thing! The last Splatfest stages will be decided based on your votes! Please vote using the email being sent to Splatoon players with Nintendo Network IDs…coming to inboxes soon! The vote ends on Tuesday, July 12th.

But it's real neat that we'll get to vote for maps! I got the email and voted Walleye. What about you guys?

I'm excited. blaugh

I've missed most of the splatfests because I'm either busy or I forget about them.

The last one I participated in was Sandcastles vs. Snowmen.

I am not going to miss this.

I don't know who to choose though. gonk

I like both Callie and Marie equally.

I like Callie's ditzy but funny behavior and I like Marie's sassy comments.

Hmm, idk. Nintendo has already kinda given up on the Wii U. I just hope the servers stay up for a few more years

I feel like splatfests are one thing people join in to play more because. I can't believe this is the last one. Sadly, I got my WiiU in January, so ive only been the past few splatfests. I was really looking forward to more. I think they'll probably stop updating the game too, and if that's the case, There better be a sequel coming out for NX whenever it comes out!

That we get to vote for the stages is pretty awesome. I particularly like Hammerhead Bridge, Walleye Warehouse and Mahi Mahi Resort are personal faves for Splatfest.

I'm so bummed about the end, though. I know a year of Splatfests is pretty generous, but I'm spoiled, I suppose. I'm just worried about paying for every re roll instead of absorbing some of the blows with Sea Snails.

And Callie vs. Marie?! It's a good way to end it, but I can't decide. Probably Callie, and the only reason she pulled ahead was because I prefer her new single to Marie's.

I actually go to take part in a Splatfest, for once! I know there won't be one for a while, but I do hope they bring this feature back, one day.
