Welcome to Ye Ren Fair! Here we have games, gatherings, goods, and gallons of grub! Please be sure to read rules and regulations, and most importantly, enjoy!
The Renaissance Fair is held just outside of Anville Town, in a wide, open area that has been cleared for the event. Travelers can access the fair by taking any train from any of the regions' starting town, Saffron City, Goldenrod City, Mauville City, Veilstone City, Castelia City, or North Lumiose City. Tents and attractions have sprung up like wild flowers and crowd the field. Trainers and pokemon are welcome to roam the area and explore all the available festivities. There are different areas you can spend in your free time, each boasting its own variety of attractions and activities to enjoy. When you enter, you'll start at the main entrance. Keep an eye out for the ball makers while you're there!
Additionally, you can play a variety of games to win tokens for prizes! The list of games will be available in each area, and they can be played anywhere. The games have their own set of rules, so make sure to pay close attention to them when you start playing!
The RenFest also has it's own Lotto! You can exchange items you no longer use for tickets and enter them into different lottos for a chance at a variety of prizes-- including Plates, Mega Stones, and even a Legendary!! You can also buy tickets, but you can only enter three tickets each lotto, however, so keep this in mind when exchanging items and using tokens! There's more detailed information below, so if you're interested, take a look! The Lotto can be entered from any area of the fair, but remember to quote a mod, both when showing evidence to purchase tickets, and when creating the tickets themselves, otherwise they won't be recorded or entered in the lotto you want!
There is some very important information in the timeline below, as well, so make sure you check it out!
And remember to read the rules!
Rules
-- Guild Rules still apply, but given the increased demand for posts, we will be a bit more flexible on literacy. Please do not consistently post the bare minimum, however. -- Each area in the Renfest has a direct route to all of the other Renfest areas, so you can go from any one area to the next with the usual three post travel requirement. -- Please try and be realistic with pokemon being out; very large pokemon might be hazardous to the tents and other attendees -- Keep in mind that there may be others in the same thread; please be respectful and understanding of their RP space -- Try not to spam threads too much -- That being said, please feel free to plot and interact all you want! We just don't want people godmodding or forcing their plots on one another
Game Rules -- You may only play each game once a day! This is very, very important! -- You may only play two games per post! Also, this is very important. We want people to have to do a bit of work, since the prizes and token yield can be substantial, but we also understand that time can be an issue, and want to allow people to multitask their winnings at least a bit more, so that they don't have to make six individual posts. -- Remember to link to your rolls! For each game you play, make sure you link to the roll, and keep track of your token count! The mods will be regulating threads to help keep track of things. -- Quote a mod any time you are exchanging tokens! This includes for prizes and for tickets to the lotto! -- PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN ONLY EXCHANGE 3,000 TOKENS. If you win more for that, you can't obtain items through it. If this happens, the mods may be discuss some other form of compensation, but the ticket booth will only accept exchanges that total up to 3k tokens. -- Be careful about trading tokens between your own characters. We understand that sometimes you can't get the character who needs the most stuff to the fair as quickly as you can with other characters, and that sometimes one character, who doesn't need as many things, ends up a lot luckier than another, who needs more, but we don't want people abusing this to try and escape the 3k token limit. Therefore, Your character cannot earn more than 3k by giving tokens away to another of your own characters, and your character cannot be gifted an amount of tokens that would set them over the 3k limit.

Here at the RenFest, we have a unique opportunity for you, guildlings! Do you have any items you find you just don't need? Any claims you're not sure what to do with, items you posted for just to post for things? Well, come exchange all that extra stuff for tickets for the Ren Fair's lotto! Depending on the lotto, drawings will either happen every two weeks, every month, or at the very end of the event, so you'll have to carefully consider where to submit your tickets!
In order to claim a ticket, you must quote a mod with the tickets you are exchanging, and a link to the last post of your character with the items in their inventory, or the post where you claimed the item if it has not been given to a character yet. You may only exchange items for tickets within the first five posts of your character arriving. This is to keep people from posting for items just so they can exchange them for more tickets. If we find anyone trying to sneak this in by posting for items before, just to exchange them once their character arrives, the items won't be accepted.
You may then generate a number 1-721 for each of the tickets received, quoting a mod for each one so that we may confirm them, and record their number on the front page with your username, and a link to the roll. Or you may link to each roll in a post, and do a single quote in said post. Make sure to link to each roll, however, and include what lotto you want it entered into. If you generate a number that has already been assigned to someone's ticket, you will have to generate another one, but please be sure to inform a mod of all the rolls so that no confusion or concern is arisen by the extra number generating.
Please keep track of your tickets, and also quote a mod when you enter them into a lotto. Also, remember than you cannot retract tickets once they've been entered into a lotto, and you cannot change the lotto they're in.
In order to determine the number of tickets exchanged for each item, see below:
Special/Event Items: 3 Lotto Tickets 50+ Post Items and Gym TMs: 2 Lotto Tickets 1-49 Post Items: 1 Lotto Ticket Please note: - Halloween 'Treats' from last years Halloween event are worth only 1 ticket, since they were given out in large abundance - Berries are not accepted for tickets

Lottos
Lottos that will be drawn every two weeks include:
Plate Pack: First Place: 5 Plates of your choice Second Place: 3 Plates of your choice Third Place: 1 Plate of your choice
TM Pack: First Place: 7 TMs of your choice Second Place: 5 TMs of your choice Third Place: 3 TMs of your choice
Every month there will be a Event Item, Pokeball, and Contest Lotto. Event Lotto: Three winners will each receive one event item Contest Lotto: One winner will receive x1 Maiden ball, x1 accessory, x1 scarf, x1 Glamour Shampoo, Conditioner, and Sheen, and x3 grooming items that could otherwise be posted for Pokeball Lotto: The winner gets 3 event pokeballs and 2 of any other type. Second place gets 2 event pokeballs and 3 of any other type. Third place gets 1 event pokeball and 4 of any other type.
At the end of the event, there will be a Legendary Lotto! There will only be one winner, who will be gifted with the legendary summon item of their choice!
Choosing a Winner
At the time of each drawing, a number will be generated for the 'winning number'. The ticket closest to this will win first place; if the drawing has a second and third place, the tickets that are second and third closest to the number will win that placing. If the same individual wins two or more places, they will not receive two prizes; the next closest individuals will be chosen. On the off chance of a tie, a number will be generated between the two ticket numbers, and whichever it comes out to be closer will be deemed the winner.
If you are entering in a reoccuring drawing, such as the Plate Pack or Event Item, and do not win, your ticket will carry over to the next drawing. If you do win, however, your ticket will be removed from the pool. Please note you may only enter three tickets to each lotto, regardless of how you got them. This means that if you win, you will only have two tickets in the drawing the next time, at most.
Please Note: The lotto does count as a competitive prize, so if you compete for a legendary and win, it will take up one of your three available competitive prize slots, just like the tri-monthly lotto would.
Buying Tickets
As well as trading items for tickets, you may also use tokens to buy them. The cost is 75 tokens, and as mentioned before, you can only enter three tickets per lotto, so make sure you don't buy more than you need.
Tickets cannot be withdrawn from a drawing and returned in exchange for a refund of tokens, nor can they be switched to a different lotto once entered.

The Timeline
The following is a timeline of events, just to give our members a heads up of different things going on during the entirety of the event, such as when it starts, when it ends, and everything in between.
As a heads up, as you can see below, the mods do have a small battle event planned starting July 17th and extending until the end of the Renfest. This event is completely optional, and you do not have to participate if you feel uncomfortable involving your character. Anyone who would like to be involved will not be trapped in the event should they change their mind and wish to stop participating, as it will be very freeform. Please feel free to continue participating in the rest of the event as it was meant to be; fun and entertaining.

Q: Is the 'each game can be played once per day' thing per character, or per RPer? A: It's per character
Q: Can we battle NPC's here? A: Yes! Use the average of your team as the 'max level' (so the total of your opponent's pokemon's levels can't exceed 4 x the average when added together)
Q: Are there PCs and such here? A: Yep!
Q: How are Apricorn and Gem Pokeballs accounted for in the token prize booth? A: Just add up the post count required for the materials to make them, and that determines the price.
