The Carousel Kirin Circus has come to town, in the first display of its kind in Below. Known for their breath-taking feats of alacrity and skill, the Carousel Kirin are best-selling performers throughout the Kirin lands Above. They have decided that as their people begin mingling with outsiders, they had best make a good impression. No better way to do so than to entertain and steal the spotlight.
You will be deciding the Playbill! What acts will the Carousel Kirin be performing for their debut show in Below?

Username: Ebonrune Which Kirin performs this Act? Green Act Proposal: Illusionary fire. Possibly even some real fire with batons they have lit and burn in all kinds of colors. With these batons they twirl and dance, performing intricate designs in the air as they twist and swirl.
Username: Midnightglow18 Which Kirin performs this Act? Pink Act Proposal: Pink grinned as the spotlight shone on her standing on the platform. She looked down at the trampoline below her and the swinging bar hanging in the air, she had no fear in her heart, as she jumped to the trampoline below, leaping into the air to do a flip then grabbing hold of the swinging bar with her legs. Pink then swung herself to a sitting position then waved to the crowd. Then she began her act, bending and twisting her body, hanging from her ring. Her movements, skilled and elegant.

Username: Midnightglow18 Which Kirin performs this Act? White Act Proposal: White grabbed onto the large strong streams of fabric and wrapped then around her arms and then she nodded to give the signal she was ready. She then was lifted high into the air and began her performance, she began dancing in the air using the streams of fabric to twist and turn her body. White was in a peaceful state of mind, she always was when she listened to the music filling the tent, White felt one with the streams of fabric that allowed her to dance in the air for all to see.

Purple Act Proposal: Purple climbed into the canon she was excited as she always was, she loved the rush of waiting for the cannon to explode sending her flying through the air, she shot through the ring of fire landing in the pool across the tent. She stood and grinned waving at the crowd. Then she left the pool to get ready to go into the cage to do stunt carriage riding, the carriage was much smaller than the normal ones for regular travel, which allowed Purple to make tighter turns. She loved hearing the gasps from the crowd as they thought she would surely crash and hurt herself.

Purple Act Proposal: She always loved the way the crowd looked doubtfully at her small stature, the way they suspected the muscles didn't ripple under her skin the way they truly did. She'd gotten here with hard work, and her work was hard work.
Her act always started off with a bit of humor, where she pretended to strain to lift a five pound weight. She then watched as a little train engine carted in the other weights, lifting each one successfully, not even breaking a sweat. With the last weight, nearly the size of half her body and many many times her own weight, she observed it while the audience watched with bated breath. This was the part where she typically called out an audience volunteer, the burliest-looking man in the stands, and he'd attempt to life the weight with no luck. Finally, she pushed and pulled, remembering her training and every ounce of exercise that allowed her to get here, before lifting the large dumbbells way over her head. She grinned triumphantly as the crowd cheered.

Username: Alamoraine Which Kirin performs this Act? Red Act Proposal: Tossing his head in a way that made his fiery locks cascade just so, he took his position on the stage with a dramatic flourish, not even acknowledging the large, crudely painted target off to his right, where a rather nervous audience volunteer was strapped down like a starfish. The stagehands' whispered assurances that he never missed never seemed to ease his volunteers' nerves; if it didn't make for a more exciting show, he might have actually been insulted at their doubt.
Turning to face the target, he had his tools laid out on a special table featuring a very low top with high borders, so that the audience wasn't able to see what he was going to throw next. He always started off with small, ho-hum standard knives, but only a few, lest his audience lose interest too quickly. He would soon be upgrading to less conventional tools; gleaming steak knives, long inappropriately-balanced dirks, skewers and prongs, and then on to the more cringe-worthy and almost comically dangerous: swords, maces, even the occasional small trident. Often in mid-act, he would do things like pretend to be distracted by something in the audience or pretend to rummage for something on his table while continuing to 'absently' throw things with his other hand, just to get the buzz going and build the anticipation that just once, with his attention so torn, he might actually miss.
He did have a special throwing implement of his own design for the grand finish; enormous and deadly-looking with enough points to turn his hapless volunteer to ribbons, but they never needed to be concerned. After all, he never missed.
Username: Embi-lamb Which Kirin performs this Act? Pink Act Proposal:
Nicknamed 'The Lioness', Seshara is known for her ferocious tenacity. She's the ring leader of the troop, and she does everything humanely possible to keep the show on the road and well maintained.
Seshara is personally invested in the well-being of the circus, having funded the circus' traveling, magic fees, and equipment needed in order for her friends and co-workers to perform out of her own pocket.
Normally the poster child (along side her elegant white comrade) for the circus itself, most people come to see The Lioness' energetic displays and rambunctious, clown-like antics. Seshara leaves most of the performing to the truly talented among her ranks, though she is not without her own skills. Seshara is charismatic and knows how to put on a good show, true -- but Seshara has a little trick up her sleeve to dazzle and inspire awe in the face of her hungry crowds; she's rather deadly with a fire whip. Seshara prefers to dance with her whip, as if it were an extension of her body, but can wield it like a weapon, which she can easily demonstrate by destroying a wide variety of objects. Anything to make the crowd go "OooOoo", and "aaaAAaaaaaAah!!"
There are rumors that Seshara is the embodiment of the element of fire, blessed by the Nine themselves. Many Nightmares and Daydreams who have come to witness the extravagance of The Lioness' circus swear they see her aura flare and burn like wildfire. Seshara gets a bit of a kick out of the whispers that make their way back to the troop, encouraging and feeding them with drink in hand. Seshara finds them rather amusing. Since she first heard about the hearsay, Seshara started implementing illusions and tricks of the eye to cater to the preposterous rumors, attempting to drum up more interest in the circus.
At the end of the day, Seshara is the best of the best when it comes to putting on a dazzling show, and a pretty great manager. She knows how to entertain a crowd, and adores being in the limelight. But above all else, she loves and admires her circus family and looks forward to many long years of working alongside them.

Username: Ellanoire Which Kirin performs this Act? White Act Proposal: In through the nose ... Out through the mouth ... Falline repeated her mantra in her head on repeat, breathing deeply. Despite the crowd below her, she felt a familiar clam settle onto her. She opened her eyes, felt her lips stretch into a wide smile and gave an enthusiastic wave to the crowd. Nothing was better than opening night for the Carousel, especially when it was a packed as this.
Perched delicately on her tiny platform high above the crowd, she knew she was ready to give her performance. She crossed her arms in front of her, and flicked open two delicate fans. Falline pointed one hoofed foot, and stepped forward onto the highwire. Arms out stretched, she fluttered the fans, aiding with balancing.
She always went slow on her first pass, making it seem like it was a great and challenging task to simple walk across the wire. The crowd far below seemed to almost hold their breath, fixated on her progress. With each step Falline felt more and more in her element. Before she even knew it, she was at the far platform. Applause erupted from below.
Falline's smile grew wider. They hadn't even seem the best parts yet! Without any hesitation, stepped back onto the wire, with her arms outstretched. Being mindful of her balance, she began her carefully choreographed dance moves. She spun gracefully, keeping her weight centered above her hooves. Then, she stopped, and bent forward, lifting her back leg high off the wire, and remaining still for a moment. The crowd erupted in cheers.
Her grin got even wider. She soaked in the sound from far below, and continued her dance across the wire, reveling in every second of it.
Username: Huni Pi Which Kirin performs this Act? Yellow Act Proposal: The knife (and other assorted pointy-objects) thrower finishes their act with a loud thunk that echoes throughout the tent. And with the volunteer thoroughly unscathed, the audience naturally responds with thunderous applause. The audience focuses so much on the Daydream with incredible accuracy that most fail to notice that the number of stagehands assisting the volunteer down from the target had decreased to just one.
Some of the observant few may be wondering why someone meant to clean up the stage would be wearing such a bright yellow costume. But with the lights dim enough that the volunteer needed someone to guide them back to their seat, it was easy to dismiss him and focus once again on the knife-thrower whose theatrically exaggerated bowing was much more entertaining to watch.
The stagehand amicably chats with the volunteer until they're seated, making sure they're fine, that they're enjoying themselves, oh that they'll be sure to tell all their friends about the circus! The yellow-clad stagehand strolls back to the ring, keeping to the shadows as he pushes the table the weapons were first laid on. He makes a show of rolling up his (non-existent) sleeves and seems to comically struggle to remove the massive battleaxe from the target. He's so focused that he fails to realize that the table has mysteriously wheeled itself towards the far end of the ring.
Oh and that the previous act's star was making his dramatic exit stage left. Until the spotlight flashes on Yellow.
He schools his features to one of calm, cool sophistication and acknowledges the audience.
He takes hold of the battleaxe with one hand while the other grips a hatchet as an anchor. He makes a ferocious tug, so much so that the battleaxe slips out of his hand and arcs upward. The momentum has him doing the same for the hatchet, and that too goes flying overhead. A dagger from stage right and an ornate knife from stage left joins the air. But the weapons' descent is halted as Yellow deftly begins to keep them afloat.
He manages to keep his limbs intact as he juggles the weapons to the table and there he deftly rests them on the surface. He wipes at his brow and waves apologetically to the audience for the silly little mishap, he'll finish freeing the target of the other weapons. A belch echoes out the ring's speakers and something behind Yellow goes fwomp.
When he turns he sees the curtains close around a plume of smoke. Looks like the fire-eater had some indigestion because the weapons on the target are now on fire.
Oddly enough, the target itself seems perfectly fine.
Yellow dashes to pull the flaming blades free before anything else catches on fire. Like himself. He keeps the flaming blades airborn, at least long enough for some additional stage hands to throw water on the fire. While mid-air. Dousing both flames and Yellow.
He keeps his cool and the blades dancing in the air until he's able to lay them all on the table. Once again, Yellow goes to clear the last few weapons still stuck on the target. Someone from the audience lets out a whistle, and turning towards the sound, Yellow stumbles backwards when a towel smacks directly into his face. The prongs and fondue forks and a couple of thin daggers go flying and somehow, still with the towel on, Yellow manages to juggle them all the way to the table.
Yanking the towel off, he showcases to the audience that he's finished deblading the target. He bows and wheels away the table while waving goodbye.

Username: mewmew kittykat94 Which Kirin performs this Act? Black Act Proposal: Eyes are immediately drawn to him as he began his act. Shock, amazement, even some looks of pain as he brought his legs before his head, shifting into a split. Although his contortionist act seemed like it was difficult, it was as easy as stretching for the Kirin.
Their favorite was the golliwogg act, leaving them grinning at the thought of the shock on their faces. That was the difficult maneuver, getting himself into a box, though sometimes he was able to have an assistant.

Username: itsie bitsie spider Which Kirin performs this Act? Orange Act Proposal: Roone stands tall and brave as he prepares to face the beast in the cage before him. The wild look of the mane belonging the the creature matched his own. Both their eyes focused on the other. With his tail at the ready, which also doubled for his whip, Roone stepped forward. Arm reaching out and fingers latching to the lock, he opened up what stood between himself and a maw of fangs. Taking step after slow step backwards, the kirin had one hell of a grin on his face as he watched the beast take steps that matched his own. This was going to be one hell of a show!

Which Kirin performs this Act? White Act Proposal: While other acts are more physical in nature, Anna's is a show that tricks the mind. Lacking any magic completely due to a stone mishap, her own act is completely magic-less. As a child, the kirin knew she wanted to perform before others, but usually performances relied on magic. When she discovered the ability to test the mind without it, she became obsessed, rapidly developing her now famous act.
Anastasia, or, more commonly known as Anna, begins her act approaching the stage in her glorious dress, a keep sake from her deceased mother. While she is completely blind, she allows herself to be blindfolded to ensure that the crowd believes that she truly cannot see. Settling onto a swing, she requests her familiar, a sweet and pure white Fennekit, to collect items from the crowd. Attached to the Fennekit is a collar that seems fairly normal, but can actually identify the item in-front of it and send vibrations to the swing Anna is on in the form of morse code. From there, Anna will state the item her familiar is holding, shocking the crowd each time.
She also does side acts where she identifies customers perfumes, but this is because she's very into the perfume world! While she claims it's being psychic, she's just a super nerd.

With a nimble twist of her hands, arms, and body, the stage's blank wall comes alive with fantastic silhouettes. Smoke fills the floor and snakes between the aisles. The overhead lights spin in a purple, then rosy hue. Dragons fall in love with Princes, castles rise from the clouds, adventurers swashbuckle over lost treasure, and stories of horror, intrigue, fantasy, and magic intertwine.
Her stories come from dreams, and her choreography transports the audience to other worlds, other times, and other places.
After it's over, the smoke recedes and the house lighting goes up, and the spell of the shadowy tale is lifted.
