New Hemisect. It felt like eons since Sascha was last there. Not a whole lot had changed to his memory. He shouldn't have been surprised, but it did give the whole experience a weird, nostalgic air. He'd already taken a walk past the Root's former location. It'd take a hell of a lot of construction to make the land usable again after what Baista's bombs did to the lot. Sascha couldn't help but smirk at the fence surrounding it. That had at least changed to be significantly taller, thicker, and more barbed-wire-ier than before. Sentimentality acknowledged, Sascha had set about on his actual purpose for coming to New Hemisect: sweet deals. Scuttlebuggy shelter unit clearances were plentiful in Chittentown, but Sascha was curious to see what he could find in a town with more than a couple highbloods. As he headed towards the bluer districts, Sascha noticed a troll strolling past in an elaborate get-up. Sascha craned his neck after them, only to see yet another troll in a nonsensical, but wonderfully flashy, outfit. Sascha realized a surprising number of trolls on that block were wearing wigs. Sascha turned the corner to see where these trolls were headed. He followed the group all the way to a convention center. At least, that's what he assumed it was, given the large building seemed to be serving no other purpose than to shelter a lot of peppy weirdos. ...Peppy weirdos with merchandise, Sascha noticed. There were a bunch of stands set up selling books and games and other themey baubles. Sascha painfully debated how much he wanted to get himself embroiled in nerd stuff. A troll wearing an enormous amount of horn jewelry and a set of faux wings walked past and made up Sascha's mind for him. He waded through the crowd towards the stalls. True to his expectations, Sascha didn't know what most of this stuff was. FLARPing was never his thing by a long shot. He had no idea role-playing could get intense enough to warrant half these props and gaming accessories. Clearly some troll was making bank in a high-rise somewhere. Still... Just because something was useless didn't mean it wasn't pretty. Sascha picked up some kind of wand--probably magical, Sascha scoffed--with a glass orb on the end. He rolled it around looking for some other hidden purpose before holding it up to the moonlight and admiring the way it sparkled.

Voscil came to New Hemisect sometimes just to experience the city life, as it had been the place where she spent the first few sweeps of her life. She came into the city to occasionally help Eridia dressed as "Sparky" to act as the purpleblood's personal hairstylist. The small amount of beetles were helpful, as was having an excuse to grab a fast food grubloaf burger was always good news to Voscil. Of course this week she'd left Salamire Outpost to take a look see at the tail end of the convention she'd heard rumors about when in town. While she didn't have a lot to spend, just being around trolls dressed up in cosplay, and decked out to the nines in fancy outfits warmed her pump biscuit. After FLARPing during Bloodfest, childish reminders of one of her favorite pass times was still fresh on her mind. It was any wonder she showed up dressed as Sparky one evening after needing to come into town on an errand anyway. Walking around, she wasn't really sure what she was looking for. Voscil was absent minded, lost in thought even. Highbloods usually had nice swag, and with such a large event like the one being thrown surely she'd find something worth bringing back to her new hive as a small prize. Deciding to slip inside the convention center, Voscil wandered around gaping at some of the trolls around her. She felt right at home, even if she knew on a deeper level she was in danger just by being out here. It added to the level of excitement she felt in the atmosphere if anything. There was so much stuff here she couldn't believe it. As her eyes scanned the various stalls, her eyes fell on a particular troll holding a curious looking wand. Tilting her head, Voscil seemingly appeared at the others side in a quick spark of movement as her agility brought her to a halt beside the tall yellowblood? if the colors he wore could be trusted. "Ohhh!! That is really shiny!" Vos remarked with a childish gleam in her eyes. Whoever the troll was, they had a wide set to their shoulders but were fairly bean-pole like build wise. Their outfit seemed to blend them right along as being one of the convention goers. "Sparky" even was dressed up with her button down jacket, tank top and a pair of knee high laced boots. The firework symbol that was her disguise was sewn onto her jacket. "That's a pretty sweet find...! I think I remember them being distributed a few sweeps ago to really loyal fan base. The shiny bauble at the top is a more recent color..You should totally let me see it." She tried chatting him up, trying to sucker him into putting it back down by batting her eyelashes in hopes she could sucker them into being distracted. It hadn't registered in Voscil's mind who she was attempting to butter up. Voscil hadn't made eye contact, or seen the other trolls symbol. It was only a matter of time.

Sascha blinked in surprise at the sudden close commentary. Lowering the... thingy... he looked down his shoulder at the newcomer.
Something about their face and horns gave Sascha a sense of deja vu. Then again, plenty of trolls had jagged horns. Compared to the rest of the convention patrons she was dressed about as normally as Sascha. She was also going on about the thing he was holding.
Now gifted with trivia he didn't ask for, Sascha regarded the wand once more. He twirled it in his fingers. "Looks like it'd go nice stuck in a potted plant. Is it s'posed to do something?" The fact someone wanted what Sascha was holding just made him more reluctant to hand it over. Did he find something nice on accident? Carefully, he regarded the other lowblood as a gauge to determine how interested he should be in his find.

Voscil wondered if she'd seen horns like those before...they seemed familiar. Listening to the sound of his voice, and as she finally really focused on the troll attached to the FLARP weapon she regarded him. Whoever this kid was, they didn't seem to have eyebrows..? It was like they'd been singed off. Her eye eyes widened not sure what to say, or if she should laugh. Hm... Voscil pursed her lips. There were plenty of trolls with big horns, it would be too weird if it was him. Only one stupid troll she knew had such an obnoxious wrinkle about his expression. Although... it was harder to tell without any large, oversized grub-like sized eyebrows covering half his forehead. The wand again was watched with an almost trance like fascination when he twirled it in hand. "Well..Pretty sure it might be able to shoot a fireball,or is a watergun. Some jazz like that...depends if its authentic or not, they tend to be what FLARP'ers cast "spells" with if they aren't Psionic's. It's still a nice collectors piece....It's not for a potted plant sheesh!" Voscil squinted at the other lowblood, regarding him. Something about the expression on his face tipped her off. Voscil couldn't help the look she gave him. "Wait...Okay. It's bugging me. Do I like know you or something?" She added with a hint of curiosity in her voice, reaching out with a finger...a small electrical current behind the gesture as if she intended to prod at him if he didn't answer truthfully.

"Spells!?" Sascha honest to God snorted, "Hoo, boy, okay sure. Shoulda seen that coming. But will it let me pull a hopbeast out of a hat?" Sascha grinned all pointy-like at the idea of trolls running across a field, vehemently pretending to be psychic--no, magic. Hell, if it did shoot water, that'd make it even better to stick in a plant! Maybe he'd buy it and invest in a ficus. Those apparently did well in hot weather. Sascha's excited expression faded away as Voscil continued to regard him carefully, until he, too was staring right back. His concentration broke and he blinked in surprise. "Whaat!? No kidding! I was thinking the same thing!" Sascha slapped his fist into the palm of his opposite hand. The wand wobbled in his grip accordingly. The intensity of Sascha's stare tripled as he struggled to recall Voscil's face. "You spend much time around Chittentown..?"

Voscil actually snickered when the other snorted. "Yeah seriously, it's cheap but effective." She replied not even trying to be serious, she'd had a similar reaction when she learned how powers usually worked for none-psionics in the game. Voscil felt her eye twitch as he talked about pulling a hopbeast out of a hat. "Not that kind of magic..ha, ha very funny." She wrinkled her nose up at him, rolling her eyes as if saying 'duh' without the addition of the verbal cue. Making eye contact Voscil felt like she should know who the troll before her was. However when he didn't let go of the wand she felt her lower lip gut out. Surely this guy wasn't that interested..he'd suggested a fairly ridiculous purpose for it. At least she'd have a nice spot on her shelf for it, or would possibly share with one of the swamp kids. It really depended, it also depended on this serious guy and his response. Hearing him mention Chittentown she felt her brows furrow. "It's been a loooooong time. But yeah, I've got friends there and go there occasionally. You shop around there or something? They get good junk deals and the occasional gem" She sighed wistfully thinking of the time she almost got a rare flarp item before it was taken rudely from her. Prodding at the other lowblood hand with her digit she let a small electric zap pass from her fingertip. It was aimed to try and get his attention. "Hey, anyway. Come on, do you seriously want that? I mean I want to make it mine cuz...you clearly are going to give it a weird home." She insisted, with a bit of a whine in her tone as she batted her eye lashes at him attempting to weasel him into going with what she wanted.

The other troll seemed to become increasingly exasperated with Sascha. He didn't care. He was having a good time. "Oh you do? This?" He raised the wand like he was inspecting it a second time--conveniently lifting it far out of Voscil's reach. He jerked back in on himself when Voscil shocked him with her pointy little taser fingers. "OW! Do you not see the bandages!? Jeeeeze..." he spent a moment grumbling before something clicked. This scenario was getting way too familiar. "By 'gems' you wouldn't happen to mean 'more nerdy FLARP memorabilia' would you?" Sascha narrowed his eyes suspiciously. He didn't remember that kid being a redblood, but then again his memory was clearly not great for this whole recall to be taking as long as it was.

/20- itemo o powVoscil was pretty sure this troll was as block headed as the wraps keeping him all together. She could almost see the delight he was taking in now playing keep away with the item. Her cheerfulness didn't waver, matching his attitude by playing along. Voscil even tried to use her speed to her advantage, waiting as he was inspecting the item to try and snatch it out of the others grasp. Her jaw dropped slightly annoyed. Almost too perfectly at the last second he yanked it up high over her head as her hands caught nothing but air. The psionic smile wided suddenly. She made a split second decision to break her cover, her agenda was her own afterall. If this disguise was ruined, it was worth it. It had been far too long, and if her assumption was right...it was him. The yellowblood girl had spent many nights pouting over what she had LOST to this very yellowblood a few sweeps previous. There was no doubting it. His tone of voice, the grammar he used. It jogged her memory all too clearly. Sascha. This has to be that grubsniffing wriggling jerk from Chittentown...I'm positive! Her eyes narrowed despite her cheeky smile. "Omg..really? It's not nerdy, it's fun! I'm not going to give that up you know. Especially this go around!" Voscil didn't even care if there were other items like what he held. Vos wanted that one simply because he had it. "It's Sascha, right?" She added oh so sweetly, much like how she had the first time they met. Vos bounced beside him, giving the other yellowblood a once over as she quickly dashed around him in a circular movement. Yup, the symbol was familiar even. "I'm dressed up for the con..if you can figure out who it is even." Voscil added coyly with a shrug. Her expression and posture evident she wouldn't back down. "I dunno what you did to yourself, but bandages up and crippled or not I'm not taking it easy on you." Voscil's saccharine tone followed, promising him in fact. She then wore a rather mischievous smirk waiting to see his response. Voscil deals "0 DMG" and misses grabbing the shiny.

HP: 20/20 Telekinesis: 1/1 Offensive Power B"This go around," Oh yeah, it was totally her. The smugness of Sascha's smile increased tenfold. "Yeah, you got it," he said as the two of them were reintroduced. He eyed her once more appraisingly. "I don't even see why you'd bother if you weren't going to go all-out like the impractical chain mail bikini crowd." He shrugged. There were enough elaborate cosplays surrounding them that he didn't need to point to a specific example. He'd barely recognized Voscil as someone he knew, much less a character he'd never heard of. Sascha only smirked at the mention of his bandages. It would have been weird if she hadn't brought them up. He'd had a lot more hair the last time he'd spoken to her. Also his legs were much shorter. Sascha waved the wand above his head as a distraction while he stuck a boot out in front of Voscil. Whoops. So much for eyes on the prize. Sascha does 3 damage!

/17- itemo o powVoscil gave him a flat look when he mentioned she hadn't gone for an all out look. "I don't gotta dress up in some bathing suit to get noticed. But I guess if that's what you're into. That's the beauty of dressing up." She blew a raspberry at him despite the fact her outfit in truth wasn't exactly for the convention. Her eyes flickered over him, taking in the other's appearance. Sascha looked like he had seen better days.Scowling at him as he placed a boot out to keep her away. Her eyes narrowed on the other boy. "Heyyyy!" Vos swatted at him, extending a digit she prodded at the other a bit roughly. "Come on give it up already. You already took one cool thing from me you don't even care what it's used for!" Voscil tried moving quickly to another spot, reaching trying desperately to grab for the wand. He was making it impossible to actually grab the damn thing but if she harassed him enough perhaps the older, and injured yellowblood would grow tired of her pestering him. The thought gave her plenty of reason to keep trying. Voscil does 6 DMG!

HP: 14/20 Telekinesis: 0/1 Offensive Style B: Attack does double damage, and detracts 1 health from opponent every remaining turn.Sascha rolled his eyes at Voscil's attempted dig. "Hey now, I never said showing skin was a bad thing. Especially not where I'm concerned." His wink was cut off by a wince inflicted by more of Voscil's poking. Before he could wave her off or even properly complain, she was already on his other side. And on his other side. And on his other side. The pain was easily eclipsed by irritation, and followed by a slight disorientation from trying to track Voscil's movements. The whole mixture was caustic on Sascha's patience. "Yo, will you knock it OFF?!" Sascha let off a telekinetic pulse, shoving everything within a short radius. The booth he'd retrieved the wand from shuddered, and Sascha earned himself a nasty glare from the vendor. He ignored them in favor of directing a scowl of his own at Voscil. "You keep pokin' me and not only will I buy this thing, I'll smash it in front of ya."Sascha does 12 damage!

/1- itemo o pow - used!Voscil had made a face at the other implying extra skin was good by his books. Of course he would say something like that. However as she annoyed him further, pestering the psionic she soon found herself rudely thrown. "Ahh!" Electricity crackled and popped off the lightning psionic's frame. The shock of the blast had sent sparks flying from her, zapping anything within close range as she was thrown like a rag doll by his powers. Voscil looked wide eyed as she was knocked back. The telekinetic push had taken the girl clean off her feet and into a rack of display goods. Wincing in immense discomfort, she felt her world spin violently as she clutched at her thinkpan groaning in dismay. Slowly she got up, sort of stumbling really as he'd actually managed to wind her. Blinking in dismay she stared at Sascha with her jaw slightly dropped, unsure what to even say. A rarity, as Voscil could only recall a handful of times being shocked into silence. Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Sascha. She'd just been playing with him..she hadn't expected the sudden smack of psionic energy. "Ow...jez." She jutted her lower lip out, clearly sore about the whole thing. While there were no tears she actually rubbed the back of her neck and looked away kicking at the ground some. "Sorry..." She huffed softly, not wanting to see him snap the flarp tool in half but more so because she'd seemingly actually hurt him. As much as he annoyed the crap out of her, she hadn't thought her poking was all that hard. "You must be pretty banged up huh? I thought it was for show honestly." Voscil frowned given sh was essentially trying to apologize to the other yellowblood. Although it required her to swallow her pride. Voscil deals 6 DMG!

HP: 8/20 Telekinesis: 0/1 Offensive Style B: Attack does double damage, and detracts 1 health from opponent every remaining turn.Sascha hadn't honestly meant to throw her that hard. His hindsight was unfortunately crisp after factoring in his bad temper and Voscil's slight runner's frame. Sense of vindication aside, he couldn't help but feel a little foolish for accidentally toppling a display stand. Voscil's kicked-barkbeast attitude was an additional buzzkill. Sascha rolled his eyes. Rather than address Voscil's apology directly, he brushed past her towards the downed rack of--blessedly durable--souvenirs. He hefted the rack back into its upright position and psionically scooped the fallen merchandise into a pile. Kneeling down, he quickly hooked baubles and keychains back in their rightful places while ignoring the rapid foot-tapping of the incensed merchant behind the table. "Thought I'd made it pretty clear I don't do all this FLARPing business," he grunted. While the apology was honestly appreciated, he still didn't take kindly to reminders of his own fragility. With a cleansing huff through his nose, Sascha stood and brushed off the knees of his jumpsuit. "Granted if I did, I would absolutely be on-point in my authenticity." He preened. ( 'No harm done.') "Alas, I am but actually authentic." He turned back towards Voscil with a wide, draping bow. In the process of righting the display, Sascha had unthinkingly set the wand down on one of the counters. He only remembered the misstep when he noticed a complete stranger holding it while conversing with the booth's vendor. Sascha's smarmy expression dropped flat at the scene over Voscil's shoulder. "Oh for ******** sake."Sascha does 3 damage!

/0- itemo o pow"Eh? Yeah you did. But it was easier to believe you were dressed up, as opposed to messed up." She frowned, something close to concern on her face. Voscil watched him raise a brow at her, giving the girl the reason to shudder. She hadn't meant to look so upset, but she hadn't really thought she was hurting him either when she'd been poking fun at him. The girl gave Sascha a considering look as he picked up everything. She moved to do the same. Although his psionics handled the situation between gathering everything and righting the display rack. Moving from one spot to the next she paused to listen to him as he huffed. It earned him an eyeroll and a smile. "Oh I'm sure you'd be the kind to spend hours matching the design exactly. You are the real deal huh? Credit to you for being pretty strong." As if to show her respect the lightning psionic had a crackle of her energy follow the comment. Just as she was laughing her expression fell into a childish pout as she heard him swear, her head turning in the direction of the front counter. Voscil's jaw dropped open momentarily. Not only had she underestimated him, they'd both been outsmarted by the coming and going of the large crowd of trolls. "Well then...! That sucks.." She noted dramatically looking to him with shallow display of frustration. It was apparent they'd both lost out on the opportunity. Rather than throw a fit she turned her back on the scene so she could keep her eyes off the prize before she ended up stealing it and leaving. "All that for nothing eh?" Vos laughed dryly as she flicked at one of the keychains nearest her, admiring them as she missed her own various collection of things. The vendor cleared his throat loudly at Voscil causing her to huff in irritation.
