Erytheia stood balanced atop the street lamp. Perhaps no one would come. Maybe there were really no others like him, after all. Could it be that no other Cosmos knights existed in Destiny City? It felt like he had been waiting here for ages. Using his newly discovered physical abilities, he found that his body felt no more tired now than it had been at the beginning of his vigil. No human should be able to balance on something that thin and that high above the ground for that long of a time. Unfortunately, his mind did not share the same endurance. He began to worry. Would anyone show up at all? ✪

Hyperborea was out on patrol when she felt an aura that gave her pause. A Cosmos knight, a page at that. She thought as she deviated from her path to follow the aura to its source. She never passed up a chance to meet one of her fellow cosmos knight. Besides if they were just a page they might need help or guidance.
She made her way briskly towards page in question. As the young transcendent knight of cosmos made her way down the street, she noticed the blond page she was looking for balancing up on a street lamp for some reason.
"Bonsoir, mon amie!" She called out to him. "Is everything alright up there?" *

Another language. The words processed slowly as he tilted his head to the side and looked down. It was a knight of Cosmos. He was certain by the symbol on her chest. The star was just like the one on his own. "I'm quite alright." He said this as he jumped down gracefully. The motion would have seemed quite natural if the page wasn't staring down at his geta-clad feet as if suprised of the landing himself. Perhaps that is why people kept asking if he was alright. Erytheia wasn't quite sure himself. "You're... A Cosmos knight?"He looked to the lavender-eyed girl for affirmation. ✪

"Well that's good then." She said with a smile as she watched the page jump down from the street lamp. It seemed like he was still pretty new as the page seemed surprised by his own abilities.
"Yup same as you." She said brightly. "I am Hyperborea, transcendent knight of the Cosmos." She said offering her hand.
"It is always a pleasure to run into one of my Cosmos brothers."

Erytheia took the girl's hand and felt the warm glow of her aura. It was almost like what he felt when he transformed. "Erytheia. That is the name of my wonder... My name."It was his name now, but it still felt strange to say it out loud like this. He blushed. He wasn't the only one chosen by Cosmos, after all. ✪

"It's a pleasure then Erytheia." She said as her hand was shook. "That is a lovely name, have you been to your wonder yet?" She asked curious.
She couldn't help the worrier inside her as she wondered just how new this knight was and if anyone had told him what he needed to know about the war or knighthood.
"So I hope I'm not prying but how much do you know about this war or our knighthood. If it would help I can try to answer any questions you might have." She offered, as the more experienced knight she felt it was her duty to help guide her fellow knights if they needed it.

The boy remembers what the royal knight had told him. Cosmos. The knights. The war. They still seemed like arcane concepts to him. Like they belonged to another place and time. But it was his world they now described. "I have never been to my wonder." He admits this as if it were a confession. To be honest, Erytheia had been quite frightened about the whole prospect. What if he couldn't get there? What if it didn't accept him? ✪

"You should go up there soon, there's a very important treasure waiting for you up there." She said holding up her ring hand.
"This ring is how knights communicate with each other over long distances. A mercury knight even made some great upgrades for them. Oh and they also have a special magic once you become a squire that is unique to each world. Ours is very powerful." She said as she touched her ring and was enveloped by the silvery sheen of starlight.
She took his hand to demonstrate. "To our allies our touch is heavenly but to those with chaos in their hearts our touch is painful and unbearable."
"If you want I can go with you, I know how scary a first trip to space can be." She offered.

The feeling of her touch was heavenly indeed. Unlike the warmth he felt when calling forth this weapon or the familiarity that came when sensing another Cosmos knight's aura, he could feel the power flowing from the knight and into his body through where their hands connected. It was as if Hyperborea was able to share some of her power with him. Still, the energy was undeniably that of Cosmos. It was a sense of belonging he wanted to feel again and again. "You could take me there?"✪

"In fact if you'd like I can show you my wonder, Hyperborea, as well." She offered with a friendly smile.

She could teach him how to travel to his wonder. Maybe it was the aura of Cosmos he felt from her, but he wasn't as frightened as before. "What are these symbols?" Erytheia motioned to her arm where the glowing lines weaved with light stars. "Are they connected to Cosmos as well?"✪

Hyperborea smiled when he asked after her transcendence. "In a way they are. These glowing marks indicate that I am transcendent and they represent a deep connection between me and my wonder, a promise that I will be devoted to it and it will in turn protect me. Because my wonder is a part of Cosmos' empire it shares her symbols." She said pointing to the stars on her shoulders and forehead.
"Through my transcendence I am able to share my energy with those who need it and my wonder protects me from corruption or the Negaverse stealing my starseed." She explained before something hit her. "Have you had starseeds explained to you yet?"

Transcendence was a connection to her home and, in turn, to Cosmos itself. It was something he very much liked the sound of. A true, unbreakable bond to what they were. Now he had heard of star seeds and their role in how a senshi or knight was awoken. But he had wondered what more there was to it. There was a feeling in his heart that they were much more to it than that. He felt a yearning to protect them and to cherish their glow. "How are starseeds related to Cosmos?"✪

Meighei we can wrap in the next few posts
"All starseeds come from the great Galaxy Cauldron, which is at the center of the Galaxy. Our princess, lady Cosmos, is the protector of the Cauldron and before the fall of the Silver Millennium a thousand years ago Cosmos knights like us had the responsibility of guiding starseeds on their journey back to the cauldron after death. At least according to my ancestor." She said hoping it made sense.
"However the Negaverse can pull starseeds or pump them full of chaos so unless you're transcended if a chaos agent ever reaches for your chest you need to get away quickly." She warned.
"Anyways though, do you want to go to space now?" She asked figuring she could answer any more questions he had up on their wonders.

Just as he had thought, there was more to it than that. So much more, in fact, that Erytheia couldn't hope to understand it all now. Perhaps the boy would have to wait for such clarity, but it seemed the page of Cosmos would not have to wait very long. "Yes." Erytheia gripped his weapon with resolve he didn't have before and likely wouldn't have for much longer if he allowed himself to think about it. ✪
