We're looking for Phoenix Army soldiers, officials, supporters, and allies!
Phoenix Army Mentality || The Phoenix army will be commanded by Feng Huang, a young cub discovered by Volga, the former Magus' bodyguard. Volga felt drawn to the cub, almost guided to him. Instead of relying on a leader who carries his own dreams and ambitions, Volga has chosen to instead cultivate a leader in the way he should walk.
Young and inexperienced, Feng is mature for his age with an earnest, virtuous heart and a blazing sense of ambition. He feels a little over-whelmed by the sudden position he was placed into, but he will not disgrace those who have put their hope and trust in him. Rather than striving to be a dictator, he realizes that he is lost without the council of the strong, the wise, the brave, and the just.
Feng knows that this is a conflict between brothers- but he will not turn away allies from other tribes, though he will hesitate to involve them.
Basic Guidelines || → The Phoenix Army is primarily Fire Tribe, but they will accept some other tribe allies. Feng understands that this is a matter for the Fire Tribe to resolve and does not wish to pull other tribes into the conflict- least he fail. Those who have personal stakes within the tribe- be it a love interest, a family, or a career -are welcome to stand with him to defend their right to exist within the tribe. → The Phoenix Army will accept anyone into their ranks. Obviously, they need their share of warriors but strength comes in many forms. Strong minds, spirits, and a goodwill to help and heal is as valuable as any set of claws. → The Phoenix Army will be hunted by the Dragon Army. These B'alam will be living outside of the law of an iron-pawed dictator. There will be enemies after them at every turn- be ready to have tragedy befall them! → The Phoenix Army is devoted to the Grand Weaver. They do not feel abandoned by the Weaver or the Magi- they feel that choices were made that led them to this point and it's up to them to choose to do the right thing and face the fire. → If victory is achieved, those that participate will receive honor within the new tribe. Every B'alam who serves will receive a personal blessing by the Emperor himself and gain favor within the tribe. Their family will be honored from thereafter.

"Casual Play" Positions|| Participation Ranks ||

PR's are ranks for more casual players who want to participate- but aren't obligated to pump out the high volume, high profile RP's as the FC's. These also allow you to have a character participate without the stress and guidelines of an FC. There's no limit to these, and we do encourage participation- but we won't require it.
If you choose to apply for an PR Rank, you must keep these things in mind: → You will be expected to participate in Meta RP's, but it's not required. → Your character can be rp'ed enough to earn a higher in-character status. → Your characters, if put into a military rank, will be assigned to a general and may be expected to participate in their unit during certain parts of the Meta. Again- expected, not required.
Open "PR" ranks || ► Phoenix Army Soldier || These B'alam are the soldiers working under the general of the Army. They'll fight tooth, claw, and horn to reclaim their homeland, drive out the usurper, subdue his followers, and blaze a trail for peace to return once more. The soldiers will devote their loyalty to the Phoenix Army and their ideals.
Of course, if you're itching for some drama and want to kill a B'alam off in the name of a noble cause- this could be your chance!
► Allies || Allies should be uncommon, but they are welcome regardless. These are non-fire tribe B'alam who, for one reason or another, are willing to join with the Phoenix army to help them reclaim their land. These B'alam should be those with something at stake within the Fire Tribe. Perhaps they have a mate, a trade, or a friend. There should be some connection to the Fire Tribe and a reason to risk their life.

The conclusion of this plot is largely up in the air. We will allow the flow of the RP, the community of the Fire Tribe, and the patrons of the shop largely determine the final fate of Shen. All we know for sure is that the Phoenix army is destined to win!
Those who fought and served will earn a place of honor among the tribe as gallant defenders of truth and peace. Their families will be descended from war heroes and allies- the tribe will not forget their sacrifice.

Their horns are used to balance their body heat and to store heat. xxx◘ What area(s) can Fire Tribe B’alam not survive in? They most definitely cannot survive in the cold climates and they cannot swim well so perhaps there is a respectful distance from the water tribe and large bodies of water. xxx◘ Can Fire Tribe B’alam actually use fire magic? No. Only Magus of the Fire Tribe are able to use fire magic as their souls/spirits have fully awaken to its greatest potential to be able to handle the magic. xxx◘ What is Telekinesis and how to B’alam use it? Telekinesis is essentially ‘mind over matter’ in that it’s an ability with the use of their minds to help them move and/or lift objects, create, write and so forth tasks that would otherwise require the use of hands and even machinery in the alternate reality that consists of humans. xxx◘ Who were this B’alam’s parents and how will you explain their absence? Fortunately this B’alam does have parents as she is a second generation as the daughter of Xavier and Najila. Their absence occurred when a conflict happened between Bellatora and her siblings that created a deep rift between them that she left the Fire Tribe territories to be anywhere else but there. In that time she never has spoken about her family so it can be assumed that she has none despite having familiar traits of her father and siblings. Also it can also be assumed in another reason for their absence is that because of this rising conflict within the Fire Tribe, Bellatora had gotten word of it through whispers perhaps from another Fire Tribe member that has fled to not be caught in the crossfire until the dust settles on a side winning and that prompts her to return to the Fire Tribe territories but cannot find her parents at the moment because of the chaos. xxx◘ Who is the current Fire Tribe Magus? There is no current Fire Tribe Magus.

Phoenix Army Soldier xxx◘ Which of your B'alam is applying for this position? xxx◘ Personality || Bellatora exhibits similar traits of her father, Xavier. She is a serious female and often looks after others like the ‘Big Sister’ which was the reason why she has been separated from her family and has a strained relationship with her siblings. This lovely lady is fierce with a warrior’s heart as her aspirations have always been to become a warrior to protect others regardless if that means giving up her life to do so. Yet because of that she has a shield around her heart so being sympathetic, affection, kind and relate to others emotionally can be difficult since it’s much easier to be cold and aloof. xxx◘ History || Bellatora was born in the Fire Tribe to Xavier an Najila and sister to four other siblings of her litter. As a young cub she was always bullied by Seika and Yoyu since they had a bond so close that a deep part of her felt envious and left out by them. Yet a conflict between them create a rift between them so deep that Bellatora left her home without saying a word to them. In that time since she has traveled a great deal, gained wisdom, experience and done a lot of soul searching. She had also wanted to pursue a life as a Brawler because she wasn’t sure if other tribes would accept her amongst them and because she wanted to be a warrior. However, she has returned to this rising civil war and wants to take up arms against the foundation of her cubhood and to take this opportunity to make amends to her family, to her tribe and to the Grand Weaver for her angry departure from the past. xxx◘ Why does this B'alam suite this position? She is a warrior. She has always wanted to be a warrior. If there was anything else she could do Bellatora would have tried it out to see if she could expand herself and not just be one thing. However her place is to fight for what is right, fight for others and fight for her tribe. To Bella, it really comes down to that because it’s not about her and the childishness of how she acted in leaving….though it may have been for this very reason to come back and prove herself worthy of this tribe for the side that is honorable. Bella wants to be useful and because she hasn’t made life outside of it then her steps have guided her back where her life began and where it will end, either in this war or at some point down the road. xxx◘ What plots would you like for this B'alam? I want her to face off with the opposing army and have her gain a few scars, her battle trophies.
I would like for her to pray over the fallen Fire Tribers, from both sides, to show that she does have the compassion side but also to explore the spirituality of battle that can show a commonality if remaining enemies are around to see it.
I would like for her to fall in love with a male who happens to be on the Dragon Army’s side and fight with him at every turn. It can be almost like a Mr. and Mrs. Smith type deal that conflicts with the other male’s goals and beliefs. Titled “Love IS a Battlefield”
I would like for Bellatora to find out that her father, Xavier, was kept prisoner by the Dragon Army that causes her to go berserk during a large battle. Leaving it there but I would like for him to be saved. xxx◘ What will your B'alam do at the conclusion of the plot? I want Bellatora to continue to be a warrior if the Grand Weaver permits it, though I don’t want her to die….I have no descendents from her but perhaps can pass on from her wounds at some point. I would like for her and the opposing male to mate and find conflict because her soul mate was on the wrong side of the battlefield but I also want her to bring honor to her family….so many contradictions. I would like for her to rise up the ranks but it could be one of her descendents, Grand Weaver permitting, that follows forward in her paw steps that later on can cause conflict because everyone will know her descendents bloodlines stemming from both Fire Tribers of the Phoenix and Dragon armies….could be interesting if all of that really makes sense.

Informant xxx◘ Which of your B'alam is applying for this position? xxx◘ Personality || Cinead at first looks quite intimidating but is really a wonderful male. He is open and flirty, protective and considerate, kind and fierce. Cinead is also based on the Scottish culture, language and perhaps mannerisms. He has either a light to heavy brogue depending on the emotions that surge through which makes him humorous, especially when he is teasing someone. Cinead has never lost his temper as it takes a good deal of time to really stir up the ferocious temper but that is because this male wants to keep a level head at all times. Otherwise he has a hearty laughter with an easy smile. xxx◘ History || Being among the many b'alam that are awakening, Cinead awoke in the depths of the desert in an oasis with it's own natural pool of cool water as his source of survival. Cin has learned to survive in the harsh temperatures of the desert making him an excellent hunter but incredibly lonely which made him leave his home for a short time to see if others existed like him.
Since he left the sand dunes of his awakening home, Cinead had encountered several other B'alams in that time. He had met an Ice female whom he never heard from again and an Earth female which was a tense encounter especially when both females failed to enjoy his charm. But he would like to think he had made the attempt at making friends.
In the time that past from those encounters, Cinead has lived in the Fire Tribe enjoying the world that thrived. However Cinead made himself a promise: if he did not find a place among his brethren then he would return back to the sands of his awakening home and perhaps find another Fire B'alam who was awakened there to start a small desert clan. xxx◘ Why does this B'alam deserve this position? Cinead is capable of blending in not just physically with his appearance in having a more natural look and nothing flashy but he can use his cheerful disposition to be someone no one really pays attention to. He knows how to play the game of misdirection and letting others see what they want to see while keeping his ears and eyes open. xxx◘ What will your B'alam do at the conclusion of the plot? If Cinead lives: I would like for Cinead to continue to be an informant or something parallel to a secret agent for the Emperor without anyone really knowing what he does. This would also include his friends and family, should he decide to start a family to protect them. I would also like for Cinead to truly find his place and be a useful member to the tribe as a whole in ensuring the protection of everyone with reports of potential skirmishes or finding out where the stragglers of the Dragon army have gone to monitor them from afar for any activity of another rising from them this may also include having to live amongst the clan of stragglers to have the hands on information, if that makes sense. Cinead approached Feng surrounded by the intimidating closest allies as the cub regarded him. For a little cub he carried himself with a confidence, regal and strong disposition when he saw that the cub raised his paw and offered a slow nod in welcome. At the question Cinead stood there quietly with a thoughtful look that softened the bandit mask feature over his eyes, a marking from his awakening.

And so, it takes him a while to remember that he can seek out advice towards reaching solutions when he is stuck on a task whether it was given by someone else or it was a task he gave himself. The lovely white and gold winged balam smiled at the cub, her violet eyes twinkling and nodded her head towards him in respect. "Greetings, I am Helki of the Wind Tribe. As she approached the small cub she gave a bow of her head in greeting. "Good evening, my name is Iokaste and I wish to serve you as an informant. I have a great deal of contacts already within the city and I feel as though I could be of service that way." She said to him. She hadn't really done much with her time in the city and now for once her observations would pay off, at least she hoped they would. She hadn't really had much purpose in her life so far and she hoped by doing this she would finally do something worthy.

He is a poet and writer. Fun loving, he has a gentle personality as well as a loyal one. All around he is that 'older brother' that everyone likes and gets along with. Though, his sharp tongue isn't afride to speak his mind. (Sorry for the messy post. I am on my phone and dealing with some drama. Was hoping to get this done before the time limit.)
Chaucer approches the group respectfully as he does there is a bow of his head. A lone battered and scared Wind balam stood before the crowd and the their young leader. This was the first time a chronicler, had came to another with the intent of asked 'permission', to record an event.
"I wish only for the opportunity to record history in its entirety. " the wind balam asked softly with the soft bow of his head. Brown and black wings remained still on his back. Long careful tail remains just as still.
"If permitted, I promise and warn you, I will not raise a paw to any affairs and my obsuved recordings with be without bias." Chaucer went on to explain, briefly, hoping to show that history will be written in its purest form.
A sigh left chaucer as his head remained bowed to the leader, as something seemed to weigh heavy on his heart.

Morwen became an unusual fire balam. She sells all sorts of potions and remedies for a price. Whether that be an exchange of services or some personal item. Sometimes however, if the customer has ill intentions or has not paid sufficiently Morwen will give them something to teach them a lesson. xxx◘ History || Morwen lives on the edge of the fire tribe in her own home. She never was fond of brawn over brain. Nor was she ever strong she was woven smaller and weaker than the rest. So she left he volcanic home to strike out alone. She discovered certain plants had healing affects and began to catalogue them in her own odd way by appearance and by giving them names. But since that she hasn't done much she's quietly living on her own secluded from the rest of the tribe. The news of the Magus vanishing may only reach her via the travelers that come seek her remedies. More than just the fire tribe visit her so she's become aware of the other traits of the other tribes. She's even had a wind triber try and raid her salves. xxx◘ Why does this B'alam deserve this position? Morwen is calm and wise when it comes to healing. It's her life's work combining herbs and a variety of other things to heal. The volcano offers extremely fertile soil despite how hard many think it is to live within the volcano. She has a good knowledge of the area and where you could hide a large number of wounded without being found along with pathways to and from the fire tribe she used when she needed to gather close to the tribe. xxx◘ What will your B'alam do at the conclusion of the plot? Morwen will probably be quite busy for a while, taking care of the remnants of wounded and injured from the battles. During this time Tanith(Zak's girl who was used by the dragon army for her power) stumbles into her life a new and young adult. Morwen would take care of the ever fearful Nan Tanith and teach her not to be afraid of everything and perhaps teach her her healing craft. (Permission given by Zak)

There was a mighty warrior at the young cubs side Morwen had heard of him. Volga the old Magus's body guard. She'd never seen him before. He was quite something and the little one he now served. The two of them was the reason she was here now. Fallen had the fire tribe from the weaver's favor hopefully they could save what little remained of it. "Little Lord, Allow me to help." Morwen smiled mysteriously offering a graceful bow "Your plight has reached my ears, the tribe has fractured." she paused solemnly it was a sad day indeed not only had the both magus vanished someone wicked rose up to seize power "I have seen some suffering brutality among the dictator's Reign, I wish to lend you my skills." She glanced back in the direction she'd come. her home was full of healing potions and salves "I have made my living as a healer outside the tribe, I know this place and where to hide." she spoke adding a hint of rhyme.
she curled her ghostly tail about her rising to face the pair before her. She was not a strong nan but she was certain her knowledge was unmatched in many aspects, especially her knowledge of healing, the area and local plantlife. She could only await his decision, if she would be allowed to help or not.

He's courageous and fierce and won't run from a fight. He can be a bit naive and silly at times. From time to time he doesn't quite understand the situation and rushes in, He always means well whatever he does. He's quite fearless in battle though fears for his friends. He is a protector through and through.

Magus can only use elemental magic, though fire magic is basically the conversion of friction into heat, so if there was an active fire tribe magus yes, they would be able to control fire, as long as their horns remained in tact. Like all magus, using ones elemental magics does take a toll on the user. Using to much of it could take ones life. xxx◘ What is Telekinesis and how to B’alam use it?Its the ability to move objects with one mind. Balam can only use this abbility as much as their physical being would allow them to. Ex: they would not be able to lift anything heavier then what their physical body could lift. xxx◘ Who were this B’alam’s parents and how will you explain their absence? Balam who are Gen 1s have no parents they are woven into existance by the Grand Weaver. And since Shun is so against those who arn't Fire tribe members her family decided to side with the Pheonix, as her mother is a wind balam. xxx◘ Why does this B'alam suite this position? Cause I figured that Feng would need some play mates that were more his size. XD xxx◘ What plots would you like for this B'alam? I'd like her to be friend Feng, perhaps be the one to distract him from his training with the older balam. They can sneak out and play together. Yes, but only if they are a Magus. xxx◘ What is Telekinesis and how to B’alam use it? Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with one's mind. B'alam can do this, though they are limited to moving objects that are only as heavy as they would be able to lift with their own physical strength. No floating massive boulders through the air. xxx◘ Who were this B’alam’s parents and how will you explain their absence? Samantha is a 1st Gen B'alam, and so had no parents and was instead woven into existence by the Weaver. xxx◘ Who is the current Fire Tribe Magus? There isn't one currently, as the previous two are MIA.
►The B'alam xxx◘ What Position are you applying for? Phoenix Army Soldier xxx◘ Which of your B'alam is applying for this position? Samantha Hakan xxx◘ Personality || Strong-willed with a good heart, but a fiery temper. Innate sense of justice and fairness. Tends to be a bit snarky and sarcastic, though she means well overall. xxx◘ History || Samantha may have been swayed by Shen's inspiring speeches and his movement to bring honor back to the Fire Tribe. Afterall, she was always one for taking action rather than sitting back and just waiting for things to change on their own. However, her values differed from Shen's on a very important point: she could not accept the mindset that the strong were meant to rule the weak. It was the responsibility of the strong to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, to offer a paw in aid to help them rise when they fall.
Samantha withdrew from the central Fire lands as things were heating up (-cymbal crash-), aiding other refugees while she wandered the outer lands and picking up some interesting rumors along the way. Word spread of a unique young cub who was drawing a loyal following. Curious, Samantha followed up on this rumor, seeking out the growing Phoenix Army and making the decision to enlist in its ranks. xxx◘ Why does this B'alam suite this position? Samantha has always been a fighter. She has a strong, inate sense of justice and cannot sit idly by when others are in danger or being mistreated. It's one of her triggers. She's a defender and a protector of what she believes in and those she cares about and she's not going to let anything get in the way of that. xxx◘ What plots would you like for this B'alam? I wanna see her throw herself into the life of a soldier, taking action in the one way she feels she can to make a difference. She's far from dumb, but she's always been more comfortable speaking with her paws than with fancy words. xxx◘ What will your B'alam do at the conclusion of the plot? It will likely depend on the connections she makes along the way and how everything pans out in the end. Will she make enough connections to finally settle down somewhere? What if she makes a career out of her military experience? Or perhaps she becomes a wanderer again, traveling the land and righting the wrongs she finds along the way?

Also they have difficulties swimming so while they could survive near Water Tribe territory, it’s probably best for them to avoid it.
xxx◘ Can Fire Tribe B’alam actually use fire magic? When they awaken as a magus, yes. However if their horns break or are fractured then they lose the ability to use their fire magic.
xxx◘ What is Telekinesis and how to B’alam use it? The ability to move things with one’s mind through mental concentration. As they do not have hands B’alam use telekinesis to accomplish task they normally could not, such as lift and hold a pencil. B’alam can only lift so much as their physical being can, and telekinesis will exhaust them as much as would if they did a physical task. Digging for hours with a shovel for example would cause aches and pains.
xxx◘ Who were this B’alam’s parents and how will you explain their absence? Ozone x Arcelia and they weren’t absent ;P. Gen 1 b’alam are woven to life by the Grand Weaver and have no birth-parents. xxx◘ Who is the current Fire Tribe Magus? Nobody! Vulkonus and Xiao Fan both ruled for a period. They have both since vanished leaving the tribe magus-less.
►The B'alam xxx◘ What Position are you applying for? Phoenix Army Soldier/Help at the basecamp xxx◘ Which of your B'alam is applying for this position? *I have a grown b’alam with a similar personality I can swap with Mazin with if cubs aren’t allowed to join. xxx◘ Personality || Mazin was raised to be honorable, truthful and loyal above all else. He was taught to be fearless and fight for what he believes in. Although this is true, he has some troubles sticking to those beliefs. Mazin isn’t exactly the bravest- though his statements certainly are bold. He’ll shout loudly if he thinks he can’t be touched but he’ll cower if someone raises a paw against him. Still, he wants to do good, and he considers himself fairly loyal. What he believes in right now is that his tribe is in trouble, and that ain’t going to fly. They have a dictator for a leader, and only warriors get to do strong things. What’s worse is his mother. She’s too wrapped up in trying to ensure his siblings and his father’s safety that she doesn’t realize she’s joined the wrong side! Well, no more! This cub thinks it’s time to stop living in fear of his everyone he’s surrounded with! xxx◘ History || Raised in the Fire Tribe with the rest of his family Mazin thought little of it when the Arch Magus vanished. He honestly still doesn’t think much of it now. Mazin hasn’t step foot outside of the Fire Territory, and thinks that the absence of a magus isn’t so big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. That is until now, where he’s learning first hand how big this issue really is. xxx◘ Why does this B'alam suite this position? He’s dedicated and wants to help. While he’s not skilled or experienced in fighting he is pretty good at sneaking around if need be. He’d probably be suited for non-battle roles until he learns to fight without running away like a coward. Things like scouting, following key suspects, or more realistically just being an extra set of paws around camp. Mazin mostly just wants to make sure that the tyrant is good and gone so things can go back to being peaceful. He doesn’t appreciate the ‘only the strong survive here’ mentality of the new leader- or that his mother has seemingly been sucked into it. He’ll be content doing whatever he’s told to, though he’ll need firm guidance of a superior to remind him to stay on track. xxx◘ What plots would you like for this B'alam?
"I'm not spying on you, honestly!" Since I’m putting his mother in the dragon army this might arouse some suspicions when Mazin comes trotting over wanting to join the OTHER side of the war. Though he seems to play the act of being mostly oblivious to what’s happening and just wanting to make things right, not everyone is going to buy it. It’d be a welcomed rude awakening to have others try and chase him off or scare him away simply because they think he’s a spy.
“You’re weird!’ I’d like for him to meet others outside of Fire Tribe members, the allies. It’d be a first encounter for him with b’alam that don’t have fiery horns growing out of their skulls and Mazin probably won’t know how to react. He’d also get a bit of a culture shock learning that these non-fire Tribers have Maguses leading them and stuff.
“Wait, so how do you punch things?” This cub isn’t exactly going to best you in battle. While Mazin is eager to help he honestly doesn’t know much about fighting save for what his parents taught him. He’s more of a ‘sneak around and try not to get caught’ type of guy then a fighter. So although he’ll make for a useful thief he’ll need a mentor if the army has any hope of him being useful on the battlefield. Alternatively, maybe someone decides to teach him medicine? It’d make him a lot more useful than just slinking around and doing odd and ends tasks around camp.
“I can be responsible!” Mazin likes having fun and playing.. It might be interesting if he develops a reputation for not taking things as seriously as he should. Or he gets caught by a superior officer goofing off when he supposed to be focused on something.
“A mission, cool!” Obviously a prime way for Mazin to prove his worth and dedication was if he got a mission of some kind. Scouting out new areas or recruiting others to the army, all good stuff!
“That went bad...” I’d also be up for him going on a mission or getting ambushed and things go south. While I'd rather he not die quite yet I'm all up for him being held prisoner or getting hurt or something.
xxx◘ What will your B'alam do at the conclusion of the plot? He’ll happily settle into the new reforming Fire society, though the victory will be bittersweet. The fact that the fate of his momma is up in the air is going to make him nervous for her well-being but he’ll be happy that the "good" side won.

Healer || Like the informants, I decided to grab both healers! One that can work behind ally lines (the wind lady) and one that can work on the front lines without being too obvious! ► Morwen | Ice_Dragon_Demon | [ Front Lines Healer ] ► Helki | Heavenly Snow | [ Main Camp Healer ]
The cubs that were offered for the military will train alongside Feng as they would be reasonable sparring partners for someone his size! The cubs should be growing around the same time as Feng, if not a little before, so they could participate in the meta's main battle (which is scheduled for four months from now!)
I would love a lot of rp between the cubbins training under volga if you guys are up for private and group rp's!
Soldiers & Allies
The soldiers will be assigned under the general FC. If we manage to recruit 3 more soldiers, we will assign two of the soldiers to the post of captain and break the soldiers up into two separate units under said captains. (Two units of five B'alam each answering to the general fc!)
