Heaps of clothes flung across the room as Castus "organized" his things, trying to figure out which items were coming and which were staying. He had had enough. It was time to get out of this hell hole and leave the Academy and everything that it stood for behind. He just wasn't cut out for the academy life. Sure, he had made some ... friends along the way. Maybe, if that's what you could call them. But nobody really worth sticking around for. Those who were important had his number, and those who weren't wouldn't even notice he was gone.

He would find a job, maybe. Slip right in to the workforce and shape his life the way he wanted to. Maybe in the future he'd come back to school. Tch. Unlikely. And, who knew, maybe it was better this way. Maybe it meant he wouldn't have to worry about her anymore, or worry about any of that crazy stuff she had been spewing about marriage and kids.

Stuffing things in to his suit cases, Castus took a look around his stripped dorm room. This was it. He was really, finally, and truly leaving this place. He could drop out, fly in to the night, and never looked back.

It sounded amazing ...
