Static felt the hiss of the air from the Air Hockey board ruffle his hair, but he was too focused on the troll opposite of himself to give a care. The rarely seen intensity in the blueblood's eyes bored down on his opponent. What the lowerblooded opponent would later recall as almost a spark lit up the kid's eyes and and with one sharp flick of his paddle he aimed the puck perfectly into the goal. Static let himself enjoy one small grin of victory, before the noises of the onlookers made him suddenly self conscious. He had been so invested in the game he had hardly noticed the other trolls gathering. Static quickly looked at his feet. He wanted to keep playing... but there were so many trolls around, and his need to flee large gatherings battled with his love of Air Hockey.

Malice made her usual straight for the violent and grotesque shooters that dotted the arcade, a pretty hefty amount of tokens in both pockets. A crowd in her way received a rather nasty scowl. Despite her sour attitude, she decided to take a slight detour and take a quick look. Shoving past quite forcefully between young and old trolls, she came to the front where she found a quite dazzling and showy table with lights and a light, airy hum. A couple loud pings and slams, and the lights glittered for the win of a young fellow blueblood. Eyebrows raised, she observed with mild curiosity. Always competitive, she immediately wanted to challenge this sheepish blueblood to a game and deeply wanted to crush them. Although, she had to admit their scars were pretty wicked to look at. Maybe they were stronger than what meets the eye?

"Hey!" She barked to get their attention, unable to control the aggressive tone of her voice. Oh well. "Down for a game?" The blueblood quirked a slight grin, already putting in her tokens without acknowledging any kind of response other than the yes she expected. Never mind the annoyed looks of trolls that seemed to be waiting their turn.

Static turned around in response to the confrontational tone of voice. Seeing the higher blood color the boy started to submissively look down at his feet, but then the girl popped in a token. Relief flooded Static as he realized this would be a conflict of actions, skills in a game, as apposed to talking. The boy immediately popped his own token in, the crowd, the opponent's blood color, all faded into the background as the game started up. "Always" The boy responded, the fire of competition igniting confidence in him.

He grabbed the paddle, and felt its soft felt glide along the table, the breeze of the air a familiar comfort. The boy grabbed a puck and moved to shoot the thing into his opponent's goal.

What do ya think for dice game? roll 1 d6 on attacking and the other player has to roll that number, one higher or one lower in order to block? So after this first post 2d6 per post

Moving her mouth to the side of her cheek, Malice stared intently between her opponents face, and the table before her. She kept a firm grip on her paddle, other hand holding onto the edge of the table to keep herself steady. As the game began to hum louder after both tokens were received, an electric thrill passed through her. It had been a while since she enjoyed the simple pleasure of just a game, but she really couldn't fight off the competitive streak she had.

Her opponent started first, sending his initial shot at her. Reflexes quick, Malice moved her paddle to the front of her slot, preventing the puck to reach its goal.

There was a low squeal of delight, followed by suppressed laughter. "Try to block this!" Throwing all her strength into the paddle, she hit the puck sideways, aiming for the side of the table to hit and launch back out and ultimately bypass the other blueblood's guard and ping into the opposite slot.

Blocked! The girl laughed out loud, and Static grinned, the fun and competition of the game infectious. "How about..." Static started, as he moved to bounce the puck away from his goal. "This?!" The boy's paddle seemed to vibrate from the force of the other blueblood's attack. It made a spark shoot through the boy, excitement and electricity adding to the adrenaline.

Blocked... BLOCKED?! How could this be?! What kind of trickery was this? She was sure it would have bypassed his paddle! As the puck knocked off his paddle and was sent, Malice switched gears from being surprised, to getting serious.

"Not this time, scarface!" Malice growled, swiping her paddle over and knocking the puck away from her side. The puck flew speedily down the table in one straight line.

CLINK! DING-DING!

Malice's face brightened up with a crooked sharktooth smile as the lights flashed, signifying a victory. A 1 appeared for her side of the table. "Now that's more like it!"

MALICE 1, STATIC 0

Static glared at his opponent. That was a cheap shot, obviously. He could do better than that. The boy narrowed his eyes, and leaned down to retrieve the puck from its spot of shame in his goal. The boy looked over the plastic puck, and rolled his shoulders. He had to get up to her level, past her level! "Have to" Static promised himself as he looked at the other blueblood's cocky smile. The boy dropped the puck, and flicked it hard with his paddle.

As the puck zoomed across the board and clang into the, Malice let out a growl of frustration. It seemed her victory would be only short lived, as now she and her opponent were considered to be in the same place as they were.

"s**t! That was a nice shot." She muttered to herself, taking out the puck and placing it center on the platform, feeling the air tickle her hand. It was less of a compliment and more like recognition that her arcade rival was good.

Malice knocked the puck hard, sending it on its way to start the new round.

MALICE 1, STATIC 1

Static grinned. A complement from his at the moment rival? Well he chose to take the aggressive statement as such. Wow, he must be on fire. "And ive got more coming." Static hit the puck, bouncing it against the edge of the game, hoping to get another goal right off the bat. Maybe that would get the other blueblood to really give him a complement.

The other child seemed to grow with confidence, and Malice simply scowled in return. Despite this, she hadn't felt this much fun in a while. Even competition made the blueblooded girl feel a sense of... happiness. And- he was even in the same blood caste. A formidable foe that matched her? It was exhilarating.

They went back and forth a few, both blocking each other's hits from their goals with speed. She took the opportunity to get some information during. "What's your full name?" Malice demanded, as she hit the puck across the table with a grunt. Perhaps she startled him, for the puck managed to zip into the goal. Malice flashed him a sharktoothed grin.

MALICE 2, STATIC 1

Static glowered at the girl. She was in the lead now and that was not what he wanted. "Win and ill tell you." Static replied, never removing his eyes from the puck and its erratic travels. He retrieved the puck from his goal and made a face at it. It better not be choosing sides. With renewed vigor Static let the puck fly.

Swiftly, Malice blocked his attempt. "Pft. Wow! Someone's got a little snark in them. I'm actually surprised." The kid was quiet, but she could tell he had that cold blood in him regardless. The boy also liked to concentrate. She could appreciate that. They hit the puck back and forth a few, both matched in the moment. Though she really needed to rub something in.

"I'm winning by two." Malice commented, lifting an eyebrow and giving him an assertive grin. She hit the puck with her whole arm, flinging it straight into his goal. The lights reflected off her shark teeth. "Three."

Static rolled his shoulders, upset with himself for letting this girl get another goal. As it was now, she was best out of 5. The machine popped out the puck, Static knew this would be the last one. The darn machines were rigged, only allowed one player to get to 5 and then they locked it. Well, thats okay, Static thought to himself, gotta make this last one count!

Now ahead by three, Malice was feeling quite confident. But perhaps that confidence got the best of her, as the blueblood sneaked a quick jab at the puck, sending it flying down the table and straight into her goal right beside her paddle. "Rrrgh." She growled, but remained focused. She was still ahead, but he was growing on her a little too close for comfort. She guessed the game would go until 5, and at the moment, she was already halfway there. Just two more goals and she could win this.
