It's been advertised for the past month that Destiny City's Adventure Port, will be holding a May the 4th Star Wars movie marathon and party. There had been a whisper that museum which has been closed for the days prior was being revamped for the month of May in honor of Star Wars. Many people are eagerly awaiting the forth to see if the rumors are true, several checking their emails daily for Adventure Port's newsletter.
On the night of the third an email comes down, but it's the most peculiar thing. Apparently the museum will open at midnight which is only just a few hours away. Time is wasting, you don't even know if there is a event cap for this and the information in general is very vague. Adventure Port has always been a family friendly and very fun museum so you aren't worried. Time to hurry up and get there.

Arrival:
There are four entrances, to the museum and each is open, but the museum for most part seems to be closed. Still the doors are open, so it must be open, correct?
Upon entering the building the only source of light you can see is that illuminating 4 small round pillars and you notice you are completely alone, two off to the left and two off to the right. Lying on the left two pillars are a stormtrooper's helmet, belt with fake ammo and a blaster as well as a black robe and a red light saber, but on the right two pillars are a light robe and a blue or green light saber as well as a belt and sash containing a blaster and what appears to be fake ammo.
The costumes themselves have a few little lights on them, randomly placed, that glow in red for the dark robe and the stormtroopers outfit or blue/green for the light robe and the sash and belt.
“Choose your side,” comes a voice from above. “Do you stand with the Empire or are you a rebel?”
Quote:
Please make your entrance and choose a costume. I will post the next prompt no later than 11pm EST.

Joshua was always up for a good time, so hearing about Destiny Port possibly being revamped for May in honor of star wars, he signed up for the news letter right away. While he hadn't seen all the movies, he had seen a few and he had to admit they were awesome. He frowned as he finished up his essay and went to head to bed, when his phone flashed and beeped with a new email notice. He picked it up, opening it quickly and looked in shock ... the museum would be open at midnight for a few hours.
Joshua read the email again and hopped up, some sort of a special event, he was so there. He wavered for a second thinking on how odd things tend to happen in the city, but this was adventure port. A place that was usually filled with kids, no harm there right. He hoped.
He pulled on his shoes and hoodie and headed out 'borrowing' his sisters car so he could get there faster.
When he arrived it looked like all the door were open, but the lights seemed to be out and no one seems to be around. There were no guards or anything. He faulted at the entrance a bit before steeling himself and heading into the building. There was very little light and what there was lit up 4 pillars. Curiosity filled him and he made his way forward to the pillars before nearly jumping out of his skin when a voice spoke.
He looked to the pillars with simple costumes on the, he moved toward the left pillars looking at them before grabbing the helmet, fake ammo and blaster. They had little red lights on them and he was curious what they were for. Outfit in hand he waited for further instructions.

Priscilla Stratford - Dark Robe
Okay, there were about twenty million things better that she could be doing right now instead of hanging out in a creepy, deserted looking museum. She could be sleeping. She could be shopping. She could be getting a manicure. Heck, she could be working right now.
Upon KittyKat's request, she'd arranged to hang out with James. If anything, she wanted to get a better impression of the gentleman who had captured her bestie's affection (enough, in fact, that they were smooching without even immediately telling her afterwards). Hmph. It hadn't been an ideal situation for either person, but Prissy only knew the Aluminite side of the young man and was more than curious to get to know the civilian side of him. So meet up, sans Kat, was the plan.
He'd suggested the event at Adventure Port, a place she'd normally never set foot. It didn't involve shopping, had potential for messing up her hair and generally just wasn't her thing. But for KittyKat, she'd sacrifice a night off from work. Granted, she'd whine and harp about it later to the other girl, but she was willing to sacrifice it all the same.
It was almost a relief when she'd arrived early to the museum, seeing it dark and apparently closed. An exaggerated sigh escaped her lips, though, when she tested the door and it easily opened. Ah, well, so much for hoping.
Slipping inside the entrance, she whipped out her cell phone and hastily punched a text out to her companion for the evening.
Text to James
got here early. u on your way??//
Ignoring the typo, she pressed the glowing Send button and finally glanced up to examine her surroundings. She wasn't much for geeky and nerdy, so upon being instructed to choose a side, her eyebrows rose.
One side had funny looking helmets, dark robes and colored sticks. The other had guns and robes.
Really, James?
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and exhaled. She'd promised to be good, so she would behave herself. Or try to behave herself. Even if this was already looking to be super duper geeky.
Sauntering her way over to the darker side (it clashed less with her hair, going with the red option), she slowly slipped on a dark robe and took hold of one of the red glowy sticks. A quick selfie from her camera let her know that she looked just as dorky as she feared she would.
What in the world was she getting herself into?

Kit - Light Robe/Jedi Costume
Kit walked in casually, admiring the museum building as he entered. He was impressed by the dramatic atmosphere indoors created by the lighting and pillars. This must have been quite the event for them to go to such trouble to make something this elaborate. He almost wondered if this was meant as a trap to lure unsuspecting civilians into losing themselves in the imagined fictional world.
With a crooked grin, the young man approached the pillars and examined each one by one. It was a shame the Storm Troopers were on the Galactic's side; it might have been pretty fun to wear one of those outfits or at least the helmet provided. He, however, was part of the Rebel Alliance. Moving on to the right, Kit eventually selected the light robe with the belt and sash. He chose one with blue lights on the garment to go with a blue lightsaber, tucking it into his sash with the blaster and fake ammo.
Donning his new wardrobe, the teen laughed as he looked up and tried to locate the source of the voice. This was great! He couldn't wait for more.

Reed - Galactic Empire - Dark Robes He'd hopped off the nearest bus and walked the rest of the way, surprised at the deserted look of the area when he approached. If it hadn't been for the four small shining pillars and an ominous beckoning voice from above; he would have turned back and gone straight home. Really the place was so dark and empty looking outside he almost thought it all some joke; another misprinted oddity from the great Destiny City news corporations.
He was glad it wasn't.
He felt utterly ridiculous being so excited over something so juvenile. It was stupid, obviously for children and fans. Maybe that was the point? It was the first real thing besides that botched blind date attempt that he'd tried since moving back. A nice event where he could hide behind a costume and enjoy himself a little. Plus it was Star Wars, who could resist that sort of fun!
Grinning despite himself, he donned the black robes and grabbed a red light saber.
All hail the Sith Lord baby.

James Cheney - Light Robe
James was very aware that this probably wasn't something that Prissy would enjoy but - it was the first thing he could think of when trying to arrange a friend date with the pink haired woman.
She didn't look like a Star Wars fan, but James had been trying really hard not to judge since he didn't really know Katrina's best friend.
And she'd said yes, so at least Priscilla was willing to try with him. That counted right? It meant she cared enough about Kat to give him, Kat's - whatever they were - a chance. Those girls cared an awful lot of each other and James, well, he envied it. He and Levi had a shared understanding, they stuck together when tossed into the fray without direction but it wasn't the same.
They were more acquaintances than anything else.
His cheap phone buzzed in his pocket just as he arrived at the museum doors.
Text to Prissy
Yeah sorry, took longer to get here than I expected. I'm headed inside now. Where are you?
He stepped inside, surprised by how dark the place was. It took him a few minutes to adjust to the lighting, walking towards the soft lights on a table. Without hesitation he pulled on the light robe and picked up the blue lit sword. Rebel Alliance, that was him alright, at least after the newest movie.
Something about Finn really resonated with him.
Tentatively he walked forward, saber in hand. "Prissy?"

Kiley Thompson -Rebel Alliance- Light Robe
There had been an invitation, or at least an email, so when Kiley arrived at Adventure Port to find it appearing nearly empty, it did not stop her from putting chipper pace to her step as she walked up to the door. It also helped that she had seen another person test them out so she knew they were open.
Slipping inside, Kiley was quickly drawn to the side where the green lights and white robes were. With a smile, she threw one on and picked up a light saber.
"Isn't this exciting?" She chuckled, to no one in particular as she eyed the other costumes and gazed around for that voice. Someone was having fun with a mic.
Ciel - Light Robe/ Jedi costume It had seemed like a fun way to take her mind off of the war and relax a little, so when Ciel had heard about this star wars event going on at the Adventure Port museum she decided to take the night off and enjoy herself. So she made her way to the impressive museum building, she had been here a few times with her parents when she was younger so she knew where it was.
As she entered it felt rather foreboding, she seemed to be all alone and it was dark. She was sort of worried she had gotten the time or date of the event wrong but then again the doors had been open so it must be the right time. She saw four small pillars illuminated by a source of light so she made her way over to them.
There were costumes and props on the pillars. As she was looking over the costumes a voice, which she presumed was coming from some speaker, told her to choose a side. "Well that's an easy choice, rebel all the way." she said to herself as she picked up the light jedi robe. She had always been a bigger fan of Han and Luke than Vader plus if she was being honest she had a bit of a crush on Leia. She was a bit disapointed they didn't have the option for a purple light saber, it was her favorite color after all, so instead she picked up the blue one.
After getting into her costume and putting the light saber in the sash she looked around trying to figure out what she was supposed to do next

Patrick O'Ryan - Light Robe (Jedi) - Rebel Alliance
The minute Pat had heard about the movie marathon he had taken off of work and started to get his cosplay outfit ready. He would not pass up this opportunity to geek out even if he had a feeling he would be the oldest one there. Everyone else would be geeking out too so what did it matter. He could be like Yoda to all the little padawan's wondering around... well no make that Obi-Wan Kenobi since Pat wasn't that much older then the likely crowed. More Ewan McGregor's Ben then Sir Alec Guinness'.
Finally the night had arrived so with little hesitation Pat slipped into his jedi robes, mostly just the top and pants, and made his way to the Adventure Port. He got a few looks but a 'May the Fourth be with you' had the looks turn to chuckles. Once at the building he hurried inside only to pause at the rather odd display. One side was obviously Rebel Alliance while the other was Galactic Empire but the lack of other people was what gave him the willies the most. He jumped slightly at the voice but didn't even hesitate to scoop up the robe and the blue lightsaber.
Once he got them on, his outfit actually pretty complete, he asked the silence, "Now what?"

Seung Kim - Galactic Empire - Dark Robes.
He'd seen the Star Wars movies, they were good movies, but he wasn't some huge fan or anything. He simply liked the movies, unlike some people who were a bit over the top, so when Terry had mentioned movies playing at the museum he had agreed to go. It wasn't what he'd normally have done, he had never been big on the idea of dates and though it was changing this was...well ti reminded him of going to a convention. it simply didn't feel like date material, though he supposed he could be wrong. He'd also have preferred to be home finishing homework and studying. But here he was arriving on his own, intending to meet the other once he got inside.
When he arrived he took note of the open doors to the building but...no one seemed to be around. Actually everything seemed fairly quiet and that was just...odd - right? Maybe it wasn't though...maybe it was normal. Biting down on his bottom lip he shook his head and passed through the door, hoping everything was as it should be.
When he saw the pillars that were lit up and the choices he didn't take long to make his choice. A quick glance over the costumes before he went for the dark black outfit and the red light saber. He knew he was picking the dark side and had to internally laugh at that. Here he was a knight, a good guy, and he was donning to outfit of a bad guy...a bad knight of sorts.
Looking around he really did feel a bit...odd doing this but he did cosplay normally - so not too odd. This just wasn't what he'd normally dress up as, far from it in fact. But he did pull on the costume before headed further into the building. he'd see what Terry picked when the other arrived - he hoped. He was curious about it though.

Minoru Sasagawa || Galactic Empire (Stormtrooper)
Min frowned into his cell phone, his brow knit together in annoyance. Apparently, his date wouldn't be able to make it as, "something came up," so he was forced to attend this nerdfest by himself. It wasn't that he thought himself too cool to be into Star Wars, but anything that congregated people and caused them to act, in his eyes, foolish, was usually met with indifference.
But he was already there and it was a long trip back home. He could spare a few hours before deciding to hit the road. Entering, a blue eyebrow twitched in annoyance at the overhead voice telling him to choose a side.
Uhh...Golden eyes slid between both pillars before locking onto the helmet of the Stormtrooper's costume. That one. Definitely that one.
Hopefully, there was no one there that knew him, but at least the helmet would conceal his face against anyone that might. Striding toward the Empire side, Min clumsily topped his noggin off with the helmet and picked up the blaster, belt, and ammo and looped them over his shoulder. Now standing around, he shoved his hands into his pocket, and waited for further instruction.
If Nailah had been asleep at the time the email went through she would have missed the whole May the 4th movie marathon, thankfully she had just finished her first raid and decided to call it quits for the second one which was just enough time for her to get in her car and get to the museum. She ignored the text message from a fellow raider wondering here she’d run off to, they could find a replacement for her tonight. She was looking forward seeing what the museum had created. Anything Star Wars themed was bound to look interesting.
The whole place looked deserted, was anyone else going to show up? The late email certainly had been a little weird; usually these things were a whole lot more organized… Ah well. Nailah went in anyways only to stop at the door and narrow her eyes at the four pillars. She couldn’t be the first to arrive could she? Entering now, Nailah headed for the middle of the pillars and looked at the four different outfits. She had already chosen which side she was going to take, but finally moved into action when the voice told her to choose her side.
Going over to the rebel side, Nailah put on the offered light robe and grabbed the green light saber. This was all kind of interesting! She’d never dressed up like this before, unless this was going to be a costume party. Someone ought to have told her before; she would have made something a little more personalized. Saber in hand, Nailah looked around and waited for the mysterious voice to continue.

Gabriel Westinghouse - Rebel Alliance - Light Robe (Jedi Costume)
Though it had been some time since he had let himself indulge in his like of Star Wars, Gabriel found himself wanting more than anything to attend this event. He had seen flyers for it, and hell, why not go for it?It had been too long since he had done anything for himself, and a day of enjoyment in epic nerdery seemed right up his alley.
He entered the building, his nerves spiking as he noted how abandoned the building seemed. It was strange, but all the same, they needed to be expecting people, right? An event like this had to have more than just himself interested.
He walked through the doors, noting the pillars near the center of the room. Well this was interesting, but more than obviously planned, so as he walked toward the pillars he glanced at each in turn.
"Pick a side..." He spoke quietly, he reaching out for that which he knew would suit him best. He taking up the light robe and lightsaber, he slipping into the robe near instantly and grinning. It was certainly a surreal feeling to be dressed like this, but if nothing else it would be fun, and that is what counted.

Sheldon Hobbes - Rebel Alliance - Belt and Sash
There was a small list of items that could lead Sheldon Hobbes away from the comforts of his apartment late at night, knowing full well of what could go bump in the night in Destiny City - despite his best attempts to avoid just about everything, which had been going in his favor the past few years. But, the chance to take a day off work for something as nerdy as a Star Wars marathon at the Adventure Port was one such thing. The drive hadn't been ideal on his little moped, however, but he would endure it for at least one night.
Adorned in his Rebel Pilot hoodie, Sheldon parked his Bello as close to the building as he could. The barren parking lot hadn't caught his attention really, but the emptiness of the building as he managed his way inside did. Sure, he couldn't imagine there would be heaps of people for such an event. But, perhaps with the sparse decorations, dimmed lights and sparse pillars of props and costumes, they were simply setting a mood. (Oh, please be setting a mood.)
Taking a look of his options, Sheldon hummed to himself before picking a side. It was a difficult decision, both sides had such amazing qualities and his head could ramble about the pros and cons to each (but who would want to read all of that?) In the end, his pre-picked attire probably made the decision for him and besides, the Rebels had the X-Wings and Han Solo (sad sigh). The belt and sash, along with a small blaster and ammo, were picked up and placed on his persons. Sheldon lamented a little bit over the Stormtrooper helmet as he walked past it, a little sad that the Rebel side didn't get anything cool like that... like a pilot helmet or something. Aa well, it was time to avoid everyone now before the marathon started.
