Sailor Ptolemaeus scratched his head as he stood atop a three-story building roof peering over the edge. There were still quite a few people out and about despite it getting late in the evening. He thought the chances of him being seen might have been less at this time of night but the population of people didn't seem to have died down much from during the day.

"Or maybe it just looks like more people because I'm higher up and can see more of them," he muttered to himself, running his hand a final time through his slick-backed wavy hair before pulling his hood up over his head. "Let's see...was I supposed to go down and touch them to gather energy? I thought there was something about Mirrorwraiths, though...damn, I should have written that stuff down. This is almost worse than having to remember stuff for class."

He chuckled lightly. "It would have been so much easier to go around touching people if I wasn't in this conspicuous getup. Oh well; at least the dark might provide some cover. Shoot, they're probably going to think I'm a mugger if they catch me sneaking up on them..." Crouching down, he prepared to make his descent when he thought he sensed something strange behind him. "Huh..."

The Dark Mirror Senshi glanced back over his shoulder curiously. Was that what the energy signature of an enemy felt like...? "Uh oh." Despite his words, Ptolemaeus began to grin broadly as his heart began to circulate adrenaline through his suddenly tense body. "Seems like I've already got a playmate."

On those rare occasions Baikal actually ventured out on his own to patrol the streets, he'd found things went so much smoother when he ran into nothing aside from the occasional youma or a another member of the white moon. It meant not having to make any difficult choices, and that was the way he preferred it.

So when he felt the brush if chaos moving along the nearby roof tops, it was a moment or two before he moved into any sort of action.

He could have, he knew, simply moved on and ignored the flicking of the chaotic auto, but that presented a whole different set of morally iffy issues. Besides, there was always the chance of running into Jet or Amphitrite. They were allies, at least to him, and he happened to enjoy their company.

This wasn't them. This was something else entirely. Baikal paused on the edge of the building beside the one the senshi(he was pretty sure they were a senshi, just not what sort), head tipping as he looked over the dark fuku and the brighter overlay. He felt different.

"Hello," the chaos senshi greeted as the other made himself known, looking the stranger up and down. He didn't look like another senshi from what Ptolemaeus could tell, and since he seemed to be aligned with the order faction, that probably meant he was a knight of some sort.

"I hate to be a pain since I'm knew to this whole powered thing, but are you wearing the symbol associated with being female?" He laughed and corrected himself. "No, wait - Venus, right?"

The confusion gave way to annoyance. Baikal frowned, looking entirely unamused, and gave a small shake of his head. Apparently not everyone in chaos was likable, but he supposed the same could be true for order...

"Mercury," he provided matter-of-factly, one gloved hand absently fingering the material of the scarf that lay draped over his shoulders. When he'd awakened, he'd been grateful for the heavy fabric and fur. Now, as the weather turned, not so much.

"So what are you?" His most pressing concern. "And what are you doing?"

"Ohh. Fancy," Ptolemy remarked, smirking at the other male's frown and head-shake. "That's kind of rude, though, don't you think? Not introducing yourself properly before going around interrogating people?" He stood straighter and crossed his arms over his chest.

"But fine; I'll go first and show you how it's done." With a sweeping, extravagant gesture of his arm, he gave a grand bow. "I'm Sailor Ptolemaeus, Dark Mirror Senshi of Change. As for what I'm doing, I thought that much, at least, would be obvious." He winked. "Seeking out civilian energy to collect, of course. Movie night seemed like the perfect opportunity. I mean, even when they're drained, they'll probably just fall asleep on their dates' shoulders, right? They should be thanking me."

The senshi beamed. "Why? Did you come here to watch something with someone yourself?"

"Depends on the person being interrogated," he countered smoothly, lips pulling up minutely on one side. But he'd play fairly, at least at first. The senshi gave an extravagant bow, introducing himself as something called a 'Dark mirror senshi'. It wasn't something Baikal had heard about before--or if he had, it wasn't something he'd retained.

This particular breed of senshi seemed to need energy, and he wondered if these were the ones the other knights made mention of. To be fair, the page tended to tone out a bit when conversations turned to paint the Negaverse as the villain. Baikal didn't think it was that simple, and the events at the prison had solidified that opinion. Things weren't just black and white.

"Does it look like I'm dressed for a movie date?" He gave a small, amused snort.

"Felt an aura, thought I'd check it out." And here he'd do a much more subdued version of the bow the other man had given upon introduction. A mere tip of his head, by comparison. "Baikal, page of Mercury.

"Do you think you could stop with the energy collecting tonight?" Hey, maybe it'd work. Maybe this senshi would be as disinclined to fighting as he was himself.

"Ouch. No need to discriminate," the senshi chuckled, obviously not offended. "As for how you look, I wouldn't presume to know. That could be how you always dress when you go out for a movie. Or maybe you're dressed to show your support for some midnight movie premiere."

Laughing, Ptolemaeus answered, "Well, I'm flattered that you'd think to check me out. Because if you hadn't, I certainly would have been the one checking you out." He nodded in acknowledgement. "Pleasure to meet you, Baikal. I'm going to have to compare that Mercury symbol to Venus later, though."

"Stop? But didn't you just hear my brilliant plan?" Ptolemy asked, grinning. "No one really needs all that much energy while watching a movie anyway. They won't even miss it. Why? Do you have a problem with it?"

His patience for this was already waning. Baikal didn't bother responding to the comments about his clothing. It didn't matter, nor did he care, and the almost bored expression he was wearing relayed that. He wasn't here for the banter, he was here to check on the chaotic aura he'd felt. Of course, now he wished he wouldn't have bothered.

If the dark senshi hadn't been up to anything, Baikal could have just walked away, gotten on with the rest of his evening. Now he was going to have to do something about this.

He didn't gave a very large sense of moral obligation, but it was big enough.

"I suppose I do," he answered after a thoughtful couple of seconds of silence. "I can't let you carry on the endangering innocent civilians." Were they innocent? This was all just a giant pain in the a**.

"It's not endangering," Ptolemy protested. "It's just a little energy. They'll never even miss it. Heck, the'll probably get to sleep better tonight." He continued to smile. "Besides, you don't seem all that keen about wanting to take me on. I really am keeping you from some hot date, aren't I?"

Standing up straighter, the Dark Mirror senshi curled his finger in, gesturing to the page to come closer while wearing a wicked grin. "Maybe I'd prefer keeping you to myself tonight, though. You seem like you need a little fun in your life."

"Splitting hairs a little finely, aren't we?" There was sarcasm in his voice now, a certain set of his jaw that showed just how terribly not amused he was in that moment. "Fact of the matter remains, they haven't given their consent." Why didn't they just ask? If it didn't kill a person to contribute energy, why not just ask for some willing donors?

He snorted as the dark mirror mentioned keeping Baikal from a hot date, and he snorted. "If I did have something like that waiting at home, you can bet your technicolored a** I wouldn't be out here with you." God no. If Desdemona had been free, the page would not have been out on patrol. Maybe his priorities were a little backward, but, well...

The beckoning gesture resulted in a downward flick of pale eyes, then the curious arch of blonde brows. "Naw." In his right hand, inconspicuous enough to go unnoticed unless someone happened to be looking for it, the page summoned his weapon. Useless as it usually was, for this, at least, it was perfect. The snowball was tossed up up and caught once, testing it's weight, and then he was throwing it directly at the dark mirror senshi's face.

"Just trying to make a little friendly conversation," the senshi answered, shrugging as he continued to smile. It appeared to lack any real emotion behind it, however, as its owner noticed that his opponent was ready to get down to business. "Hmm..now there's an idea. Ask for energy? Shame I doubt that would ever work. Even if they don't need or want it for themselves, humans are selfish. It's likely they'd refuse just to feel high and mighty for denying others."

Ptolemaeus threw back his head and laughed at Baikal's response regarding betting his 'technicolored a**'. Maybe the page wasn't so devoid of humor as he seemed to be. "Then I'm honored to take the role of your date tonight. A little curious about you calling a date 'something' as opposed to 'someone', but that's not my main concern right now. Shall we dance?"

And then he got a hard-packed ball of snow to the face. Ptolemaeus stared, trying to process what had just happened and where the snow had come from as the ice began to melt on his skin. It was cold and wet. There were few things he didn't tolerate very well and being wet was one of them. His smile tightened and his brows narrowed.

"...Not exactly what I had in mind."

Without any more warning, he dashed straight at Baikal as if to tackle him to the ground.

"My punch cards a little full." He was smirking now, as he watched the snow and ice slide in melty lines down the senshi's face. See? He had a sense of humor.

The smile changed, humor leaking away, just before the other man launched himself across the rooftop at him. Baikal jerked, backing away, but not nearly fast enough, and the air left his lungs in a sudden rush as Ptolemaeus barreled into him and sent him toppling back against poured concrete.

"s**t," he coughed, palms seeking out the senshi's shoulders and shoving him back to remove the weight from his chest so he could draw in a full breath again. "What happened to your sense of humor?" Didn't seem like he was laughing now. No, now the other man just seemed pissed.

Oops.

Well, at least his attention was off the civilians.

"Oh, it's still here," Ptolemaeus assured Baikal, his grin appearing a little maniacal. "It just doesn't work so well when wet."

The 6'3" man straddled the 5'10" one, lifting off the other enough to allow him to breathe, but not enough to sit up. "You don't really want to fight me," he said, speaking almost gently. "Why are you doing this? Some sense of morals impressed upon you by society's standards? Why don't you turn around and go home? Maybe find a real date to spend time with?"

He stroked the side of Baikal's face with a finger. "Unless you really would prefer my company."

Well, he wasn't wrong. Baikal really didn't want to fight, but he couldn't exactly just walk away, either. Especially not now. "I've got my reasons." Or rather, he had someone else's reasons.

Stealing a little bit of energy from a large group of people probably wouldn't hurt any of them. They probably wouldn't even notice it, to be fair, but...it wasn't as if Baikal could trust that that was all this senshi was planning to do. Besides, it was still stealing; taking something without consent or knowledge. It might have been harmless, but what if it wasn't? It was the sort of morality issue he didn't have to consider when he didn't bother to go out on patrol, but didn't have the luxury of ignoring when it was shoved in his face.

Speaking of faces.

A finger slid gently along his cheek, and all at once it became rather obviously apparent that all Ptolemaeus' flirtatious banter might actually have carried some weight. He still wasn't exactly certain how to take that sort of thing, even after all the time he'd spent with Dustin. Under different circumstances, it might have been more intriguing. At the moment he just wasn't sure how to answer.

Instead, putting his size to his advantage, he made a sudden jerk to the right, rolling the both of them over so it was the dark mirror's back pilled against the concrete, instead of his own. "Well if you're busy with me, you're not off harassing civilians."

"Mmhmm...whoa!"

Surprised by the action of the burlier young man, Ptolemaues found himself on his back, brows raised. At the response he got, he chuckled and attempted to wipe the remainder of the melted snow from his face using the back of his hand.

"I guess that's true. But how long do you think you can keep me occupied?" he asked. "And I think it's a little strong to be calling what I was doing 'harassment'. Especially coming from someone on top of me."

His roaming hands reached up to plant themselves on either side of Baikal's hips. "Do you even have the balls to entertain me?" Ptolemy then attempted to slip them under the page's outer garment.
