Sailor Altair

The cousins who might as well be sisters since they were as close as siblings, Elysha and Caely, had decidedly agreed to meet at an outdoor shopping outlet near their two bedroom apartment after their work hours. The plan was to hang out as opposed to going straight home and staying in their residence to unwind before the latter parts of their days largely meant for their studies as they often decided to. However, as Elysha wandered around and took to window shopping in the general area they had agreed to meet, she sensed a magical presence, a chaotic one.

She had then taken to attempting to maintain a casual front while trying to concentrate and see if she could locate the presence from where she was.

And then she got a call. Caely apologized and suggested a rain check on their hang out plans sometime soon, saying that she was still at her work meeting; that it had been extended. Elysha replied in the affirmative.

And thus, after that call, she proceeded to the location where she sensed the presence of chaos, transformed in a corner she thought fairly hidden away, and surveyed the outside of the establishment for a potential entry point that may provide one of the least noticeable routes for a break-in.

However, screams piercing the air prompted her to plainly jump up and simply resort to scaling the building. And when she landed on the roof, she saw Aptera looking at the explosion of activity in the inside of Water Gun War Zone from above before the page of Castor turned and saw her as well.

Castor Page Aptera

She sensed a presence of chaos here. And almost immediately after the realization struck her, Caely had proceeded to give Elysha a call to cancel their meeting and covertly transformed upon reaching the establishment she suspected as the lurking place of the potential threat to innocent lives.

And then, she was on the roof in a matter of seconds, looking down with a scanning gaze in search of a possibly abnormal sight of that of a youma, a monster of chaos.

But if she were more honest with herself, Aptera was finding that the [music] presently playing from the food pavilion directly below her so easy to dance to and highly distracting. A part of her wanted to do just that, break into easygoing dance moves to let the rhythm inspire her motions spontaneously. However, the part her mind that she was striving to listen to, the part that probably acknowledged that she ultimately did not want to run from being able to protect despite the trials, was telling her to focus on seeking out the threat of chaos that may very well be lurking just within her field of sight though obscured.

Then, in addition to the music, food pavilion patrons were taking food trays loaded with cakes to outdoor tables to snack on, which did not help her mission to stay focused on locating any hidden monster that may have to be warded off. As much as she was tempted to return to her civilian form, enter this place as a customer, have a piece of cake, join those who were having fun on the dance floor that now had been next in having caught her eye, she mentally shook her head to remember the order of her priorities.

Gradually, she became more able to tune out the melody enough to make a more thorough sweep of the view before her with her eyes. There were water guns in racks all around the vicinity. This establishment housed a park enclosed by the building around it that served as a frame in architectural shape. There was no roof of any sort, glass or otherwise, over the park. It looked a lot like other parks in Destiny City in general but she observed that care was taken to limit players armed with water guns to areas enclosed by fences and thus separated from walkways with benches and the like. A sign of reminders she could manage to read at a relatively close proximity to her hidden location at the moment allowed her access to printed lettering that verified such procedures despite her distance from it up high. Lamp posts and numerous other sources of light around the park encompassed by Water Gun War Zone implied to her that it may keep business hours that allow for water gun fights to be had late into the night.

It was a few moments of observation before the upbeat mixture of the park's orchestrated ambience and all the fun-filled screams and laughter in the area was jarred by a sudden yell full of alarmed terror that quickly escalated with additions so that the atmosphere morphed into one with panicked urgency and now instead included a cacophony of fear and confusion. A shuffle of movement caught her ears from behind her and pulled her darting gaze at that moment from searching for the source of the mayhem to pinpoint who had joined her on the rooftop. "Altair, great to see you and fantastic timing," her eyes had widened slightly with bright surprise and she sent the senshi a determined grin and greeting before quickly returning her gaze to resuming the hunt for a sighting of the owner of the mark of chaos who likely triggered the havoc unfolding below. She'd give this visual search a few more moments before she resorted to jumping into the fray with or without a sighting yet.

Youma

The fences in the park may have been enough to keep the visitors in their designated areas, but they were no obstacle to a determined youma. The energy signatures and shouts of many, many people had drawn it like a moth to a flame. When it came up against the small barrier of the fence, it smashed right through it and continued on, barely slowed.

Though there was plenty of shouting, none of it seemed to be directed at the youma at first. Perhaps they thought it was part of the attraction. It looked like a cross between Donkey Kong and Godzilla, a sort of scaley ape with spines and a squared snout. It was vaguely puzzled at the lack of reaction, but it was too hungry to care much. So it just lumbered towards the nearest person and swiped a fist at them.

The young woman skipped back, laughed, and sprayed a stream of water at the youma. It was not amused. It roared at the woman and lunged at her. She was still slow to move, and it wasn't until the youma had a tight grip on her arm that she realized something was wrong. Then the real screaming started.

Sailor Altair

"Perhaps perhaps if we use some of the water guns, we can use them to confront the gorilla-like monster," with a worried look, Altair sent her gaze to Aptera as she offered her suggested course of action for them, "I'll I'll grab one when I get down there. I'll go on ahead, A-Aptera." And with that, her worried but also determined gaze was directed back at the location of the threat of chaos before shifting to the point she intended to land on immediately preceding her jump down.

A water gun rack was accessible right away though the place around her was at present deserted. She tested one water gun, found it was working and had sufficient ammo currently, then ran towards the gorilla's chaotic beacon. "Please stop stop going after others and inflicting harm," Altair addressed the monster vocally. And after a second's pause, she went on to expand on her endeavor at a challenge. "Instead, you can turn your attention toward me if you have no intention to to heed my request; we we can fight," and with that she then fired a stream of water at the gorilla in an added attempt to starting to make her point.

Castor Page Aptera

Aptera's expression was consumed entirely of seriousness now as her eyes gleamed with the resolution she felt while responding in the affirmative to Altair's offered first shared course of action with a nod, "I'm right behind you." Then, following through with the words between them before Altair jumped off the roof first, Aptera took the same route down and also charged toward the youma with a newly borrowed water gun, testing it with an aim at the grass along the way and finding its amount of ammo and power both satisfactory.

Youma

The youma ignored the screaming around it for the moment, intent on its prize. It dragged the struggling young woman closer, eager to feast on her energy, but the arrival of a being of Order interrupted it. It looked up when the senshi spoke, though it gave no sign of understanding what she was saying, much less following her request. Instead it growled at her and gripped the young woman tighter, causing her to scream louder.

The sudden spray of water provoked a response, though. It was splattered in the face, causing it to flinch back.It shook it's head as if to clear off the water and roared, glaring at Altair. The water didn't hurt it, but it did make it mad. It let go of the woman (who fell to the ground, then frantically scrambled away) so that it could rush at the senshi, knuckle-running at a surprisingly rapid pace.

Castor Page Aptera

"Altair, hurry and dodge the attack," Aptera addressed her comrade urgently as she aimed at the gorilla's face and fired her own offensive spray of water with the toy weapon in her grasp. And she would keep firing until she either ran out of ammo or got the youma's attention pulled away from the senshi of Scalpels.

Sailor Altair

Her eyes widened with sudden alarm at the sight of an oncoming attack directed at her now. However, she was pulled out of her shock by Aptera's rushed yet firm voice. She veered to the side but had not fully dodged the gorilla's punch. And with a sharp yelp in response, the momentum pushed her the rest of the way off her feet and had her rolling a yard on the grass.

Yet, she did not dare catch her breath with the monster still just those handful of feet away from her. She aimed up at it and fired her magic, sending 7 scalpels flying at her target, "Scalpel shot!"

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Scalpel Shot

The gist of this attack of hers is that from her index finger aimed in a gesture as though holding a gun with one hand at her target, she fires a shot akin to the sudden stab of a group of scalpels all at once. These scalpels' blades are single-edged. Both her index fingers are pointed in like fashion and start out being brought up in an X shape in front of her chest, but while firing her non-firing hand draws sideways in a further bend with the elbow on the same surface level as both her shoulders somewhat giving the illusion of an archer's form. In terms of visual flare, two circular formations of scalpels on both sides of her meet behind her forming a V, and while holding their presence as threatening projectiles move in the same angle with her aim despite the attack being launched only from a formation launched in front of her aimed fingertip.

Her attack is aimed at a target then immediately fired but certainly also can miss by being wrongly aimed or dodged. She prefers to attack as close to her target as she can manage but her shot can reach a target up to 5 feet away. Scalpel Shot does not summon real scalpels but rather the visual illusion of them that includes a cluster of 7 hurtling straight toward the target. But what is real is the stabbing pain felt when the ghostly blades hit, piercing up to 1/8th of an inch deep and possibly causing the injury to bleed though far more rarely in comparison to the pain caused. She can use this attack 3 times per day.

Youma

The spray of water from Aptera proved to serve as an irritating distraction. The aquatic assault, minor though it was, ended up being enough to partially divert the youma's attention from Altair. Even though the youma felt its fist hit the senshi who had first angered it, it paused in its attack to turn towards the source of the new irritation, snorting when it spotted the nearby Page. It growled as it looked from one Order creature to the other, apparently trying to decide which to go after first.

It never had a chance to make up its mind. Sudden movement and a shout from the senshi made the youma whip its head towards her, but by then it was too late. Several scalpels slammed into it in rapid succession, shredding it with each impact. It had barely a moment to shriek before it started to topple, collapsing into a pile of dust.
