Assignments like this for class were always tough. Joselyn had a rather hard time ever deciding what she was passionate about. Often times she was too busy chasing away the students that teased her day in and day out. Luckily, though, she had started to acquire some friends.

Thoth had really turned her life around. Joselyn had finally made a friend, something she had never expected. With all the rude names she was called like "shark mouth" and "sharp teeth", Joselyn thought it would be impossible for anyone to ever like her for her.

Thoth had, though. Two lonely kids were brought together in a dark time during their lives, and had managed to form a bond through that darkness that Jose hoped would last well in to their seniors years.

She wasn't in to Thoth. Not like that. But she was happy to have finally found someone who could understand her, even if they weren't the same.

All Joselyn wanted was to be 'normal'. Her relationship with Thoth was the first steep to helping Joselyn feel normal. Maybe through Thoth's companionship she would feel less and less like a mutant and more like a person. She could feel she was growing. Joselyn could almost feel her worries slowly drifting away from her. As the years passed, and the younger years faded in to blackness in her mind, Joselyn was slowly learning to be confident.

Maybe she'd study law as an adult, when the time came. Or maybe she'd leave it up to fate to decide. First and foremost, she had to focus on graduating the Academy. And maybe try and make a couple more friends to take along for the ride ...
