An assortment of finger foods and snacks had been provided by a well recommended catering staff in town; fruit trays, vegetable trays, small sandwiches, crackers and cheese. Another table contained the punch bowl (well guarded by a gentleman who seemed to have no sense of humor) an an assortment of Dixie cups with variations on heart patterns.

One final table contained desserts: cookies, cupcakes and the Valentine's favorite (donated by an anonymous benefactor), chocolate covered strawberries.

All snacks were available to those enjoying their date as long as said snacks did not leave the designated eating and drinking area.

"Okay, t-thank you, Rik," Elysha smiled brightly to him in kind as she responded to his words.

Her gaze moved across the food tables as she approached them. She decided that she wanted a simple but somewhat balanced plate assembled as she picked up a plate with a few napkins in her fumbled attempt at grabbing for just two. On the plate, she included two triangular halves of a lettuce, tomato, ham, and cheese sandwich, a small assortment of crackers and cheese, and four pieces of chocolate covered strawberries.

"Are t-these picks I've made okay for us to share o-or would you perhaps like any of the other food items that are part of the selection h-here, Rik?" she asked him after she had moved towards him again with the plate of food in hand.
