"Today is going to be a good day." Kagehoshi drew in a deep breath, allowing the air to fill his lungs entirely, before letting it out slowly. He could sense change on the wind, feel it in his bones, though he knew not what sort of change was at hand. Due to this uncertainty, Hoshi felt it necessary to declare something positive. There had already been enough negativity to deal with. He truly needed a positive change in his life.
Kagehoshi pondered his most recent misadventures, allowing his legs to take him where they would. Hours later, but what felt like only seconds to Hoshi, he found himself along the banks of a large body of water. The sun shone bright on the water's surface, casting golden rays across the rocky mountain face that bordered one side. The intensity of the light caused Hoshi to blink and sidle back into the comfort of the shadows.
