Burvia was a little flustered. She had spent far too many hours scouring the dresser in her dorm room looking for just the right outfit to wear out on her date with Rae. Rae and Joseth were two totally different people, and while she loved Joseth dearly -- even though the boy seemed incapable of figuring out he loved her too, even though it was obvious to her -- he was easy to please. She could throw on any old thing (though, of course, she still tried to look as elegant for him as she could) and he would be pleased and be none the wiser. But Esrael was a little bit harder to please. The geist had felt she hadn't quite made it up to Rae all those years ago for teasing him like she had when they were children. Burvia had just liked him so much, and in her naivete and childish ways she had pranked the poor boy relentlessly to show him just how much she admired him and the depth of which she felt for him. But Burvia was growing out of some of her more geistly traits, and as she was aging she was beginning to mellow out, slowly becoming the woman she desired to be. She knew she would get there, one day, but for now it had to be one step at a time! And that first step was tonight, here with Esrael. Her crush had become more of a blossoming love. Joseth for her had been someone she had always loved and knew she always would, and just had to be patient with his insecurities and clumsiness. He just wasn't as aware of his own feelings. Burvia could wait ... but with Esrael ... she didn't even know if he liked her back. Even still, they were friends, and had grown rather close. While Burvia was definitely desiring a specific outcome after this evening, she didn't quite know whether or not Rae was looking to have a relationship with her. She knew that him and Joseth had a thing, and at times it made her a little jealous. Not because she felt left out, but because Joseth felt so strongly for Esrael and Esrael for Joseth that their worlds seemed to center around each other. Burvia felt a little like a third wheel sometimes. Maybe it was because she was so academically focused, and in her spare time spent all of her free moments sewing and designing clothes. It figured Joseth and Esrael would hang out more than she'd have the chance to. That was exactly why Burvia had decided to put down her sewing needle and go out with Rae, just the two of them! The two would never get anywhere beyond friendship if she didn't spend time with him outside of classes! Pulling her hair in to two loose pig tails, the tiny framed geist walked over to her vanity and sat down, setting her dress down on the stool beside her a she fixed her make-up. Her complexion was always so pale, so it didn't serve her well to do equally pale lip stains. She had grown rather fond of a particularly dark blue colour, the same colour as Esrael's hair. She curled her lashes and applied mascara, and generally put on her best face. And then, it was time to get dressed. The dress was a little more form fitted than her usual attire, and a bit more sleek -- specifically picked out for Esrael. It was different from the usual froufrou lolita items she had in her wardrobe. Not only did she think Esrael would like the dress hugging her hourglass figure, but it was also perfect for a spy movie! After a bit more primping, Burvia was ready and excited! Her heart was aflutter in her chest as she tried to take in deep breaths, then rose from her stool with its little claw feet and made her way out the door of her private quarters to meet Esrael who was due to arrive to the common area any minute now!

Why was this so hard? With Jo it was just so easy, he could go out with him in whatever he wanted to wear...but Burvia...she was always so fashion forward. Esrael glared at the clock on his side table, he wanted to look good, but he wanted to be on time too. This was going to be difficult, really difficult. He riffled through his clothes, trying to figure out what would be suitable for the movie. A full on tux? No. That was way too formal. A sweater and some jeans? No. That was way too informal. Ugh why were girls so difficult?!
It was true, Esrael and Burvia weren't super close. They were still good friends, but as far as everything went...Esrael really only considered her an acquaintance. To be completely honest it took him by surprise when Burvia asked him on this 'date'. He was still a little worried, wondering if this was her Geist playing with him and pranking him. Getting him to stress out and get all dressed up only to have her laugh at him. She was changing though, Esrael could admit that, she was actually turning into a really nice girl.
Rae opted for dress pants, a white button down shirt and a dark blue vest. Fancy without being too fancy! Since it was a 'date' Rae went through the trouble of ordering a limo, that's what you did on cute dates, right? He waited outside for the limo to arrive and when they did he have them the address to Burvia's common room. If she was playing a trick on him, he figured he would just go pick Jo up and they could ride around in a limo all night.
He sat there, nervously fidgeting, hoping that she was sincere about this date, after all, it would be really nice to get to know her better. That and the spy movie they were supposed to go see looked really cool, so he was praying that he wouldn't have to go see it alone. The limo pulled up and Rae got out, taking a deep breath before walking up to the dorms.
He pushed the door open and his eyes went wide, a blush creeping over his face. Burvia was waiting for him, in a dress that almost made him weak at the knees. "B-Burvia...y-you look a-amazing..." His heart was beating fast and try as he might he just could not prevent himself from stuttering. Esrael swallowed audibly, trying to steel himself before saying anything else. "W-Well...are you ready? Let's go, M'lady." He held his arm out like a gentleman, waiting to escort the Geist to the limo.

When Esrael appeared, Burvia felt even more excited. Her heart was beating so crazy in her chest. Was this really happening? Were they really going on a date? It seemed so surreal now. Burvia felt like the two had come such a long way since their early freshling years ... some part of her just hope that her friend felt the same way. Though it always seemed Burvia's feelings were always ahead of her peers. The geist had been about to open her mouth to say something, when Rae's stammering surprised her. It snatched the words right off the tip of her tongue, and the young geist caught felt her cheeks grow hot with a blush. Burvia shifted slightly to try and obscure her face and hide the blush. "Wow ... Rae. Thank you ... that means a lot coming from you ... " as her pale yellow eyes lifted to return her gaze to the rather sharply dressed fallen, she only blushed an even darker shade of blue as she saw the boy's arm extended for her to take. With a quick clearance of her throat, Burvia reached out and took Esrael's arm, gently resting one dainty hand on his elbow and tucking in close. "You look rather handsome yourself, you know ... " she said almost quietly, unsure of how he'd take her compliment. "I was ... really glad you agreed to come out with me. I was worried that you'd decline, so I'm glad you showed up." she admitted her insecurities to him. Yes, Burvia had stressed out. She had been stressing immensely about their date as it got closer and closer on the calendar. It likely didn't seem that way with how dressed up she had gotten. She only prayed her words came off as sincere. "M'lady?" Burvia gushed quietly under her breath. "I think I like the sound of that. Yes -- I am ready to go! I'm really eager to see this movie with you! I hope you enjoy it! I've been following the 008 movie series since I was little! I'm rather excited to see this next installment ... I know they've become less campy now, but I still rather like what directions they've chosen for their latest films!"

It was strange really...Esrael never really got to know Burvia. Sure Geists and Fallens had a bad relationship, but Burvia had never really seemed like a horrible person to him. There was that one time that she picked on him, but they were both young and naive children when that had happened. It was finally time to let bygones be bygones. There was only so long one could hold something against someone before it just got stupid and tiring. As Burvia grabbed a hold of his arm he could help but notice how soft and fragile she felt. Then it happened, she complimented him. Instantaneously all the blood in his body rushed to his cheeks, turning them an odd mixture of dark blue and pink."T-Thanks Burvia...I wasn't really s-sure how to dress...so it m-means a lot to me!" The Fallen tried his best to hide the smile that had crept across his face.
"W-Well...all cards on the table...I didn't really know if this was a real date or not, I figured you could be pranking me again..." He felt really silly now. She had obviously not been trying to get a rouse out of him and it probably would have been better if he hadn't said anything at all. It was nice to know that she was just as nervous about this as he was, though. It kind of took the edge off a little bit.
He lead her slowly out of the commons room, all the while making sure he listened to what she was saying. It was honestly a relief to him that she liked the 'M'lady' thing, as soon as it came out of his mouth he had kicked himself for it being way too cliche and stupid. "Okay...but the campy part was what made the older ones so awesome!" He held the door open for her as they left the building. "I hope you don't mind going in style..." He laughed nervously as the limo came into view. He continued to lead her, continuously get more and more aware of the feeling of her hand on his arm. As they approached the limo he moved in front of her, opening the door for her and climbing in after her, trying his best not to smack her with his wings.
As the limo started moving he became more and more fidgety. What does someone even talk about on dates? The weather? Life? School? Esrael really had no idea, but he really didn't want to sit in silence the entire time, that would be very gentlemanly of him! "So...what kind of elective classes are you taking...I-I'm sorry. On our days off like this I don't want to talk about school...I-I just don't know what to say." He felt really bad about saying that, he really hoped she didn't take that the wrong way. The last thing he wanted to do was offend her.

A limo? A limo!? First of all, where did Rae get the money for a limo? And second of all, if he didn't know whether or not this was a real date then why had he rented one? Admittedly, Burvia was a little hurt at her classmate's suggestion that she had just been trying to prank him again, but Burvia decided it wasn't worth ruffing feathers over. Esrael had shown -- and with an impressive ride -- and Burvia was dressed and the two were going out. So what did it matter that Esrael had all thought it was just a game? Hopefully by the end of the night Esrael would know her a little better, and learn she would never do that to someone she cared about ... "I'm actually really surprised!" the blue geist admitted with a small laugh. "This feels so fancy! Feels like we're going to a movie premier instead of just to the crummy ol' theatre downtown! It's kind of nice." And now Burvia felt far more justified in her sleek attire. Had she gone with the usual puff and frills she might have ruined the illusion of the night. Giving a cute little bow of her head and a quick bow smile, the geist bashfully dipped her head low to slide in to the limo, ducking her head so as not to hit it on the way in. "Thank you, Rae~! What a gentleman!" she was very pleased by this turn of events. "Though I do have to agree with you on camp! It really did make things good, and made it totally quirky and fun! Even the first and second bad, terrible, Imp Powers movies weren't all that bad, and they were obviously spoofs of the camp. I think that's why the 008 movies moves away from that kinda campy genre. After the third and fourth movies, it was just way too much and overkill."Once the Fallen had slipped in next to her, Burvia made sure to press in close, snuggling up to her friend. She had been about to closer her eyes and doze off from the warmth a little on the ride, but then Esrael mentioned ... electives? Raising her head to rest her chin on his shoulder as she hugged him loosely around the wait, the geist batted her long lashed up at Rae. "Electives?" She asked for clarification. "Oh, well. I was taking clothing design and patterning for a start ... I took on a third for care of magical creatures as well! That's why you never really see to much of me!"

This whole date thing seemed more and more complicated by the minute. Truth be told, Esrael had never actually been on one of these "dates". So in turn, really didn't know what to do on one or really what they were supposed to entail. When Burvia snuggled up to him it took him by surprise. His stomach felt weird, he felt like he was becoming warmer by the minute, and his face felt like it was on fire. This was it: this was the way he died. Obviously there was something fatally wrong with him.
The fallen let out an audible gulp as she put her arm around his waste. This was the closest he had ever been to anyone and it was surprisingly...not terrible. "W-Well it d-definitely sounds like you've been busy. I haven't even thought about what electives I'll take this year. All the choices are kind of...intimidating." That last word was a little breathier than he meant it to be, but he had just so happened to look down and see the geist bat her eyelashes at him and he just couldn't help it. He nervously lifted his arm and wrapped it around her slender shoulders.
As the limo pulled up to the theater, he gently removed his arm around her. This was the tricky part, trying to get out of the car without smacking his wings against the car or Burvia. Esrael tried his hardest to maneuver just right to get out of the limo, not hit Burvia, and still slightly look graceful doing it. He turned around and smiled at her, offering his hand to help her out of the limo.
As they got closer to the theater entrance he paused briefly so that he could grab the tickets he had gotten them out of his pocket. Oh no. No! In his rush to get ready he hadn't actually grabbed the tickets?! All the blood in his body rushed to his face, turning it a beautiful shade of red. How was he going to tell Burvia that they couldn't go to the movie? She was going to think he was a total screw up! The Fallen stood paralyzed in his spot. "B-Burvia...I'm r-really REALLY sorry...it looks l-like I didn't bring the tickets with me..." He hung his head, not wanting to see the look of disappointment he was sure Burvia would give him.

Burvia hadn't expected Rae to put his arm around her, and the girl let out a short little breath. It was a bit shakier than she wanted to admit as her cheeks flushed just as Esrael looked down at her. This felt so silly to her. Here she was, someone who was normally so confident and in control, and she was reduced to a blushing mess. Ugh, why am I being so stupid? she thought to herself. Maybe this is how Joseth felt whenever Burvia was around him, and that was why he was always so nervous and blushy near her. "Oh, you know ... " she tried to say as casually as possible. "It's kind of my prerogative to lead a busy life. I might as well take advantage of it and learn some neat things along the way."
Hoping the blush wasn't still too noticeable on her cheeks, the Geist shifted to allow the Fallen to get out of the car. His arm around her had felt so nice, but the snuggly geist didn't want to quite mention that just yet. It seemed a little to early to admit she was quite pleased by his touches.
Taking Esrael's hand, Burvia slid out of the car, making sure to grab her clutch purse so as not to leave it behind in the limo. And once out on the streets, the geist was quite glad she had.
Burvia offered Esrael the smallest of smiles as the fallen turned to her an suddenly started panicking. She heard him out, just to let him get it out of his system before looking down to open her clutch. "Well, I think we both screwed up a little bit, Esrael." she gave a small, girlish laugh. "We never really discussed who was buying tickets ... so ... " the geist girl pulled out two tickets from her hand bag and flashed them at the fallen with a reassuring smile. "All is not lost. I bought tickets too~! I figured seeing as I was the one who asked you on the date I might as well pay for the experience." she glanced over her shoulder then with a rather touched, yet impressed smile. "But I see that you also had a similar idea in mind~! I can't say I can complain, it was a really nice gesture and touch to the evening. Makes me feel like a movie star!"
Then geist turned back, looking up at the marque displaying what movies were playing. Some of the letters were falling down, and a couple of the ore bulbs had burned through their magics, no longer flashing. Likely there was nobody left who really cared to upkeep the theatre now that most things were downloadable. The theatre really did seem to be struggling. "Well, sort of. Although, the 'sort of' part isn't your fault. We could have gone further to a nicer theatre, but in all honesty my purse strings have been quite tight. I've been spending too much on fabric again." Burvia removed the chain from the inside of her purse to make it a shoulder piece and slid it over one shoulder, staying cheerful and flashing a rather white smile. "I can still definitely get us popcorn, though! My treat!"
