  This is a PRP between Minali and Phurtle.
For timeline purposes (and a reminder to myself): This RP is set after Minali leaves Asha and Iggy Jenkins alone in Small Friends. Minali has met her future mate, Kanaloa, already, but no lovin' has occurred yet. (;

She waded away from the pair, allowing other thoughts to preoccupy her on the way there; instead, she surrounded herself in more comforting ideas, such as the sweet kelpie she had recently met and befriended. She wished he was around; she would enjoy talking to him again - maybe he wouldn't mind if she unloaded her thoughts on him as well. But Kanaloa was not around so she stuck thinking to herself and scrutinizing her thoughts and actions. Perhaps it was time to accept her daughter was not a child anymore and let her live her life. Maybe it was time for her to seek out happiness for herself instead of always looking for something to keep Asha happy. After all, Asha was becoming more and more rebellious with every passing day, and it was stressing Minali too much.
Maybe she'll find some girl or boy she'll become infatuated with and settle down, finally, she thought to herself. The idea of grandkids popped into her mind - which excited her but caused her to be nervous at the same time. While she'd love the idea, she definitely felt a little selfish about the idea: she would be a little upset that she did not have a mate of some kind before that'd happen. She wanted to be able to spoil any sort of grandchildren with someone that'd love them as equally… The kelpie flashed into her mind once more, and Minali's cheeks reddened fiercely, embarrassed at the thought. He was a complete gentleman in every regard - surely he would find love in someone that was similarly sized to him, and not water-bound like she. Why was she becoming so infatuated with him?
“Heeeey, girlly. What’s hangin’?”
Overwhelmed by her thoughts, she visibly flinched at the voice. Minali came to a halt and perked her ears; turning around slowly to see the source of the sound, she looked at the creature; he was staring back at her, a large grin on his face and.. something dangling from his mouth. A turtle? And was that a tea bag? She tilted her head. "W-were you talking to me...?" she asked him quietly, curiosity piqued. The turtle swam a circle around her, the tea bag leaving a faint trace of color in the water behind him.
“Yeeeap,” he said coolly.
She raised an eyebrow at the oddball. He was definitely an odd one. “Did you want something from me, then?” she replied. He shook his head very slowly, before uttering a “nah, just seein’ what’s hangin’,” causing Minali to make an exasperated expression towards him. As he continued to circle her, chill as can be, she couldn’t help but make a frustrated ‘rrrrrrr’ sound, causing a multitude of bubbles to sprout out from her. His disregard for her mood was starting to set her off.
