The morning air was thick with the chill of winter. Just a few more weeks and the full force of the wintry months would be upon them. Akiko found herself grateful that her family did not live in the mountains where the snow and biting wind could cut straight to the core. As it was, the chill that settled across their homeland felt to her to be enough. Releasing a large yawn, Akiko blinked the sleepiness from her eyes. "Hito! Xara!" She turned around to shout into her family's humble abode. "Are you guys awake yet?! I'm already up and outside!" Taunting lined her voice as she spoke. It was unusual for her to be the first one awake. The youngest of her siblings, she acted her age all too often. They usually had to force her out of a deep slumber otherwise she'd sleep for the entire day. "There's all sorts of mischief to make..." OOC: I don't think we actually discussed where they lived. I left it fairly vague for now. Any ideas on where they should be stationed?

Xara blinked her eyes awake slowly, stirring from the voice of her sister. "Oh dear, " she murmured reaching out to secure her herb filled pouch as she shook out her mane. "Looks like I over slept," she sighed standing slowly. "And I was supposed to go out and gather more ingredients this morning, I guess it'll have to wait."

Hito's ears twitched at the sounds of movement and what sounded like voices, his eyes slowly opened and he let out a yawn as the cool morning air gently touched his face and played with his mane." Guess I needed that extra sleep", he said this as he began to yawn once more, looking around he spotted Xara ad Akiko close by and waiting on him. Normally it is the other way around where he be the first awake and waiting on them,but not today it seems.

Akiko grinned broadly as her siblings joined her in the land of wakefulness. "It's about time lazy bones!" She teased with a giggle. "So what are we going to do today huh?" The young mare looked from Xara to Hito, waiting on one of them to say. If she were lucky, it'd be something fun as opposed to another boring lesson. Life was too short to waste it studying. At least, that's what Akiko told herself. Secretly she just didn't want to feel like a failure, which was easy to do when seeing Hito and Xara in action. "Oh!" Her eyes lit up. "I know what we can do! We should go exploring that cave system we saw the other day. What'd ya say?!"

Xara considered her sister's suggestion thoughtfully. "Well," she started slowly. "I have heard rumors of cave moss having some healing properties. It might be worth checking out? And on the way I can gather some new healing supplies too!" She sincerely hoped she wouldn't have to use any of her supplies any time soon but when spending time with her family she had learned it was always better to be safe than sorry. "What do you think, Hito?"

Hito looked at them both contemplating the idea that was thrown out by akiko, the caves could prove to be ueful for some things,but danger could lurk in the caves and he was in a way a bit protective of his sisters and didnt want to see them get hurt. He knew no matter what he said he would get out voted,so he gave in to the idea of the cave. " It could be some what dangerous,but then useful at the same time...I suppose we could go check it out"

"Then it's settled!" Akiko declared excitedly as she pranced about some. She didn't necessarily like the idea of working during the trip. It was supposed to be an adventure, not a supply run. But if it meant being able to spend time with her older siblings then she didn't mind. Sauntering up to Hito, Akiko playfully nibbled his hair. "You worry too much, Big Brother. Besides, would I suggest anything dangerous?" Her eyes beamed up at him with a child-like innocence, knowing full well that the answer was yes.

Xara laughed softly, "Regardless, it would be nice for us all to get out together, right?" She looked around quickly to make sure she wasn't leaving anything important behind. Satisfied she had everything she needed, she looked to her siblings to see if they were ready.

Occ: sorry for not responding yet, I had 3 weeks of vertigo issues and couldnt do much of anything and now symptoms to a health issues ive been dealing with for almost a year have come back..so my minds been very blah lately,but I am trying to work on a response.
