The Jōnin Standby Station (上忍待機所, Jōnin Taikijō) is a building located in Konohagakure beside the Ninja Academy where the heart of the village's power, the jōnin, stay when waiting for the Hokage's orders or emergencies, as well as when they are off duty. This building first appeared during the Chūnin Exams, when Asuma Sarutobi, Kurenai Yūhi and Kakashi Hatake stayed there while the genin took the first part of the exam

Myuri paced back and forth in front of her father's office. Being the Captain wasn't easy, especially when he hardly spend anytime with his children. Myuri mumbled under her breath as she squeezed the letter tightly in her hand. She wasn't sure how her father will take the news as he was over protective of her, especially her since the death of her mother. Lifting up the scroll, she opened it, and started reading over it. It basically told her that Kumo needed some assistant in the hospital as they were under staff and needed an extra pair of hands. If she decided to go, she would be staying for a few days or even weeks. Her brother opened the scroll before she got home and scolded her until she went deaf saying that he forbid her to even think about accepting the offer. She rolled her eyes but a smile played at the corner of her lips as she knew he cared. Myuri wouldn't be surprised if her older twin already told her father about the news and that made her even nervous. The letter said that there were other candidates they wanted to ask but her names was the one that mostly came up. If her memories serve her correctly, she did read that there were different techniques at Kumo that she would like to learn and she was sure that she could teach them a thing or too as well. She continued to base until her father returned from wherever he was at so she could speak to him about accepting the offer.

Kazuto reappeared at the villages jonin standby station. It was also the building that led to the anbu root facility underground where his office was upon entering the building and turning a few corners he arrived down the hall from his office where he saw his daughter Myuri standing waiting for him. He approached her casually than surprised her with a tight hug and saying to her through a strained tone. "I'm sorry I haven't been the father you and your brother deserved. I was lost after your mother... But not anymore..." He pulled away from the hug than placed his hand on her cheek to keep her looking in his direction.
☯XxXxX It looked like he was gonna tear up but he soldiered on and pulled his hand away. "You especially remind me so much of your mother. I guess that's part of the reason why I hadn't spent the time I should have with you and your brother, and until the day I die that will be the biggest regret on my deathbed." He than gave her one of those goofy smiles he used to give all the time. It was probably the first time in years since she saw it. It was the kind of smile that could lift anyone's hearts and make them feel safe and comfortable. Perhaps it was because of its carefree nature of a smile that made people feel that way, but it did.

Myuri was pacing back and forth that her thoughts completely interfered with her senses to where her father pulled her into a tight hug. She was about to attack the person who grabbed her but then settled down once she realized it was her father. She sighed in relief as her emotions turned to happiness from seeing him but than turned back to nervousness. She was about to speak but her father beat her as he explained that he was lost after her mother's death. Myuri shook her head, "Dad, we both understand the importance of serving the Kage and protecting the village. You weren't and still not a bad father. Dad, you lost the love of your life so we understand that you went a little off the chart. We can't understand what it feels like to lose a lover but we understand the lose of losing a mother." She hoped her words brought some comfort to her father as he shocked her by placing his hand on her cheek to make her look at him. She didn't realize she was avoiding eye contact but not because she thought he was a bad father, it was because of the reason why she was here. She looked at him and saw that he was on the verge of tears but quickly placed it with a straight solider face. "Dad, its alright we are grown its not like we need you to hold our hands. If mom was here I think she would punch you right now." She joked as she saw the smile of her father that she so longed to see. He hadn't been the same since her mother died, he literally stop smiling. It felt good seeing her father's smile again as she hugged him before she pulled away. "Dad, everything will be alright but I am not here to scold you on your parenting skills, I have some news for you and I hope you won't be upset about it. Unless my brother had told you first?"

☯XxXxX Kazuto listened to his daughters words, and it in fact gave him relief that she understood what he was saying and wasn't mad about his lack of father-ship towards her. Snapping out of it though he responded to her. "Haha yes i suppose she would wouldn't she..." He finished and unlocked the door to his office. Walking in he would head over to his desk. Mid-walk he would than hear her reason for waiting there so patiently and responded before taking his seat.
☯XxXxX "Oooo news you say? ...Wait. Your not getting married or something right!?" Than another horrid idea came to his head "...Your not pregnant are you!? Where is he I want a few words with him!..." He said to her jokingly waiting for a response.

Myuri felt the heat rush to her face at her father's joke as she took an involuntary step back. "Dad! That's not funny, I don't even have a boyfriend. Let alone come here and confuse I'm pregnant." His joke was awful but Myuri bust out laughing to calm her nerves. "I suspect if I did you would have scared him off. If its not you than my second father aka my brother would." Almost forgetting about why she was here, she stepped forward as she followed him inside his office and placed down the letter on his desk. She turned and took a seat across from him before speaking. "Dad don't freak out but Kumogakure is requesting my help. They need an extra pair of hands at the hospital since they are under staffed. Well, the thing is when I go there might be a chance I'll be staying for a few days. I know our villages are not exactly friends but I do want to learn from their doctora over there." Myuri felt the pressure off her shoulders once she explained it but now she held her breath for his response. She couldn't guess his mood once she dropped this bomb on him. She wasn't sure how he feels about her leaving the village since it wasn't the same as a mission where she would be gone for a day or two. She left out the part where it could be longer but its all there in the letter.

☯XxXxX Kazuto chuckled at her response, he got her good all right. Pulling the letter to himself he looked over it with a smile on his face and responded. "Hmmm yes Kumo does have some healing jutsu that even I have yet to know... I think it would be a good idea to take advantage of this summons, not to mention it would help in being able to link hospitals abroad if a patient needs immediate attention and can only get base treatment at one place, if there is no room in one given hospital."
☯XxXxX He scanned over it a bit more reading the possible tenures after a few days. "So it could be a few years as well. I see. Well I do suppose it will give me and your brother more opportunities to see also your mother in the cemetery there... Seeing that she is buried there honorably under the Raikage title." Finishing looking over the letter he than hands it back to Myuri.

See I've met the current Raikage once or twice working at that hospital myself and well he is a bit of a nutty man but he is also an honorable one. So I say go ahead you'll learn a lot." Letting out her breath from her father's response, Myuri jumped out of the seat and jumped up and down in excitement. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She leaned over his table and hugged him tight as she was already planning in her head what to pack. Letting him go she stepped back and composed herself, "I'm sure I won't be staying for a few years dad but I can at least say I finally get to see where mom was buried at. I didn't get the chance to properly look at her grave since I was away training elsewhere and you and my brother decided to keep it from me. Speaking of my brother, I'm sure he won't be happy that I am leaving." She ran her hand over her hair and then looked at her father as he pointed to the seal. "Well, than I'm sure we won't have problems than. Dad, will you be okay that I am leaving the village? You're not going to stalk me over there now are you?"

☯XxXxX Smiling at how excited she was he was taken off-guard with her sudden leap over the table to hug him. With a deep "Oof!" escaping from his breath he chuckled a bit more. "Okay, okay! Haha." He said to her patting her back. "Well when you do get there be sure to head straight to the Raikage to let him know your there and make sure you explain to him who you are you could also drop me or your mothers names to him as well, If he isn't there go straight to the hospital to check in with the surgeon and he'll pass the word on to the Raikage. I don't have a problem with you leaving the village no, just don't give me a reason to come stalk you. I am the Anbu Captain after all and I have eyes everywhere already haha." He replied to her with his parental tone and a chuckle.

Nodding as she understood what he meant, as she didn't want to risk the Cloud village thinking she was a spy. "I understand dad. Go to the Raikage or hospital, sounds like a plan." She looked suprised as he spoke with his parental voice. She threw her head back and laughed, "Dad, out of both your children, what makes you think I'm the problem child?" Not wanting to hear his answer, she walked around the table and hugged him. "I better back and ready to move out. "Ah yes don't want to be late saving lives dear, and good though I highly doubt that as you are your mothers and fathers child. But have fun and send a hawk after you get settled in or I'm gonna come-a-looking haha." He finished with that parental tone again.

☯XxXxX After watching Myuri leave Kazuto took a deep breath in and leaned over his desk from his chair. Raising his hand over his face to place it on his forehead he noticed it was shaking a lot. Than it dawned unto him that he hadn't had a day off in weeks. Seeing as all his informants weren't due back for another few days. Kazuto decided he would take the day off for a couple days. Standing up from his chair and placing a few files away he walked out locked the door and placed his seals onto it before making his way down the hall and out of the station.
