The Hokage Monument, Hokage Mountain or the Hokage Rock (火影岩, Hokage-iwa) is the most representative landmark of Konohagakure. It is a mountain that has had the faces of all the Hokage carved into the stone. It was envisioned by Hashirama Senju as a symbol that the Hokage would always watch over the village.

Feeling the sun beam down on top of the Hokage's Monument, Amaya was feeling preoccupied as the cold wind kissed her cheek as her head was low. She gave a smile as she was careslessly moving the dirt on the tenth Hokage's head as she planted some seeds. Amaya was planting different plants around the village as an experiemtn to see if they would grow in their living condition. Being born into a clan that has similar affects as the Senju had its perks, as each seed contained a Hybrid plant that could help Konohagakure. Amaya used the back of her bandaged arm to scratch the side of her face that was also bandage. You would think since she healed her face she would take off her bandage but her sharpen hearing made her think twice about it. She could hear the voices from her previous village whispering terrible things about her. It made her fell worthless and ugly and that made her decide to just cover herself up. Amaya shook her head as she slowly stood up and moved to another spot on the same head. Her long red hair blew in the breeze as the vibration she felt on the ground helped her "see" when she walked. She made sure she was careful not to get too close to the edge or else she would fall off. In the distant Amaya heard the chirping of birds as their chirp caused Amaya to look up. Of course she couldn't "see" them in the air but she could hear them passing over her. Moving her hands in her pocket, she carried seeds for birds and tossed them in the air so the birds could eat. Amaya then returned to digging and planting, trying to block the noise coming from the village.

Renzo had been wandering for about an hour now. The bright sun starting to set behind the horizon of the forest. He had been wandering around without any idea of where to go next. He stopped walking and he snapped out of his trance like state, realizing that he had somehow made it to the Hokage monuments. "I really need to pay attention to my surroundings." He said softly to himself. He looked around and saw a girl planting flowers. Renzo looked across the ground and saw plenty of flowers planted around the area. Must of been because of her. He walked forward and spoke up. "Guessing all the extra scenery is your doing?" He asked Amaya, referring to the flowers.

Hearing footsteps in the distance, Amaya ignored the sound as she figured whoever they belong to will just ignore her. It's very rare for anyone to approach her so she continued planting one last plant she had left. As the steps were getting closer Amaya lifted up her head and turned it to the voice that spoke. She gave a gentle smile and nodded, "Yes, it's part of the Kihane clan way. I am planting special flowers here I been trying to make."

"Ah I see." Renzo started as he looked around at the flowers once more. "What are the purpose of these special flowers?" He asked turning his full attention back to Amaya, returning the friendly smile she gave him. He then thought that how did she get permission to just plant anywhere? But on second though they were just flowers. What harm could come from planting them? He then watched the birds come down from the sky to feed on some seeds that had been laid out. Renzo assumed that, that too, was the work of Amaya as well.

Amaya slowly stood up and dusted the dirt off her skirt. Naturally Amaya would shy away because of all the bandage on her arms and legs but she felt at ease up here on the monument. She was a loner but she had to at least try to socialize since she found out she was on a squad. "My bloodline is the sister of the Senju except we deal with plants. These flowers I have planted are do to healing properties. I been trying to create healing plants that are edable to heal minor injuries like cuts and scraps. The other plants i have planted in darker places are the more dangerous ones like poison and rashes." Amaya casually walked around the seeds she placed down for the birds as if she could see but reality was, she was using vibrations.

Renzo listened as the girl stood up and dusted herself off. "Senju. That's a name that I haven't in a long while." He said thinking about the history of his clan and the happens that was told to him about the past. When told about the properties of the Amaya's plants, Renzo nodded. "That's a pretty neat idea. Would especially be handy for a person who can't preform medical jutsu." When he spoke about someone not being able to do medical jutsu, he was referring to himself. He watched as Amaya walked around the bird seeds. He noted that she was able to walk around them with her eyes covered, as though she could see. Renzo then guessed that maybe she could see them, just maybe not in a way that he knew of. "Ah, I almost forgot. My name is Renzo Uchiha." He said introducing himself. How could he forget something like that? Maybe all the training he had done today had tired him out more than he realized. Her ability to walk with such ease came back to mind. He decided to ask about it. "Hey can I ask a personal question? Not to sound insensitive, but what is up with the bandages?" He asked as it finally peck his interest.

For once Amaya wished people just stop asking her that question. She don't mind the staring or the whispers, but that question just bugs her. Amaya gave a half smile as she simply just shrugged. "I was an in an accident." Not wanting to explain her story of her past, Amaya decided to focus on something else. "Pleasure to meet you, my name is Amaya Kihane. What brought you here to this place. I normally don't hear anyone around here anymore." She was going to say see but then realize that her eyes were bandage so it would have sounded ridiculous if she said see so the safer word was hear.

Renzo could tell that asking that question was not the best of ideas he had today. And giving how quickly she answered the question, he could tell she has been asked that one alot. He decided then to not push the subject even farther. He then learned that her name was Amaya. "Pleasure to met you as well." He said returning the gentle greeting. When asked what brought him here, he could not help but chuckle and place a hand behind his head. "To be honest, I got here on accident. I was mainly just wandering around after some meditation." He said, summing up his last few hours. "As for people coming up here, it's pretty surprising that no one comes up here. To see the village under you, while looking towards your future. Dreams start here and are made here. At least that's what I believe."

xxxNakahiro decided the first place he should go was where two of his students were currently located. After all, that would make getting the last one much easier. Hiding behind the trees, he listened to their conversation a bit. Did they not know they were apart of the same team? Well. That made things a bit more interesting. He might could have a little bit of fun with that. He waited a bit longer to try and judge how they would work together. As it was, his squad was going to be very interesting. He had Renzo, a fellow Uchiha, Mikoto, a Huyga, and Amaya, who was a part of a clan who were cousins to the Senju. His squad was going to go far places indeed. He heard Amaya still be a bit touchy about the bandages on her face. Seems that was still a bit of a sore subject. Of course he had heard about it from the Hokage after he was assigned to be her Jonin Sensei. He was sure by now it should ahve healed though. So she still had them on for her own reason. He listened for a while, listening to their conversation before deciding to step out. He stepped out to the side a bit, walking over to the memorial stone and bowing his head in respect, running his hand over it as he thought about his past and everything that had happened to him. He wondered if Renzo knew the same pain he had. There was really only one way to unlock the Sharingan, and he hoped that he hadn't. Most assumed it was a cause for praise and happiness in the clan. However, those who had unlocked their Sharingan knew the true pain. He let out a small sigh before he turned to the two Genin. Well, it seemed even if Renzo had unlocked his Sharingan, he wasn't going to be a loner. That was a good thing. He didn't want him to isolate himself on the inside. Nakahiro would make sure that didn't happen. He knew how easy it was going to be to fall into the darkness once the Sharingan was activated. He crossed his arms as he walked over to a nearby tree and leaned against it, studying them for several more moments. He was going to have a cute but deadly squad. Deciding to finally make his presence known, he cleared his throat as he walked over to them, ruffling Renzo's hair. "Well well Ren-chan. I had no idea you'd end up on my squad. I see you've met another of your teammates. Amaya-chan. The last man on the squad is a Hyuga. So as soon as we find him, then we can have our first meeting as a squad. So. Are we done here so we can go collect him? Or is there still something you need to do?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and small smirk. He thought he might have an idea of where Mikoto was, but he was going to have to go confirm that himself. He waited for their replies, content to see how this day played out. He was ready to test their teamwork and see how he was going to have to train them. He looked at Amaya, assuming he was going to have to be careful fighting her. She could see in a completely different sense then the others. Traditional methods wasn't going to work against this team. He might not even be able to hold back like he normally did. That was the whole point behind the first exercise though. He liked to get a feel for his students abilities before they reach him. It was always fun to see where they were at before he started to train them.

Renzo was still looking out towards the village, taking it in the view. He then was caught off guard when he felt his hair being ruffled and heard a familiar voice. "Nakahiro? You are my sensai? Didn't see that one coming." He was actually quite surprised. He smiled knowing that an Uchiha would be teaching him. But when thinking about it, he noted that Yato, an Uchiha in another squad also had an Uchiha as a sensai as well. Maybe this was a common tread. Whatever the case Renzo was satisfied with such an outcome.
The next surprise came when Nakahiro stated that Amaya was also in his squad. What were the chances? He listened as his sensai went on to explain that a Hyuga was in the squad as well. Could it have been the one he saw earlier fighting Shihou? If so, then that would make this squad quite the interesting one. Renzo's smiled grew even wider as he thought about the adventure and hardships they would have to get through as a team. But that was just it, they were a team and for better or worst, was in it together. Renzo's line of thought was cut short when he was asked if there was anything else that he needed to be done before training had started. "I'm good to go whenever, Sensai Maka." He said as he finally started to fix his hair from Makahiors' assault.

Amaya thought she heard someone walking up but figured the person would just continue to walk off. Hearing an unfamiliar voice, she immediatly became stiff until Renzo spoke to the person as if he knew him. Amaya relaxed a bit and tilt her head about being teammates. That caught her off guard as she gave a small huff. This would be hell for her as she was different from both her teammates but thinking about it, this squad sounds like a match made in heaven. She wonder if this team was put together just for that purpose. "I am done planting. I am ready whenever you are."

xxxNakahiro listened as Renzo stated his initial surprise that he was their sensei. He judged Amaya's reaction and saw her get stiff as he approached them. Hmm. That was interesting. Yes. Seeing how they worked as a team was going to be very interesting indeed. He just hoped they learned how to do it soon after they started, because there was no way they would be able to take him down one at a time. Well, maybe, if he allowed them to get close to him. Mikoto could be a potential problem with his lacking in Taijutsu, but he was already thinking of ways to counter that. He was already thinking of what fun Genjutsu he could use on them. Of course he didn't want to scar the poor kids. He wondered who would realize it first though. Well, since Amaya still couldn't see, he was going to have think up a completely different strategy for her. He would make it work though. He smiled a little at Amaya. "Sorry for startling you Amaya. I'm Nakahiro Uchiha. I'll be your Jonin Sensei from now on." He said with a small smile, listening as they gave their approval to leave. He nodded his head before looking over at Renzo, noticing him fixing his hair from where he had ruffled it earlier. Unable to help himself, he grinned cheekily and reached over, rubbing the top of Renzo's hair again. "Well then. If we are all ready to go, let's head out." He said with a small chuckle before placing both of his hands into his pockets and walking in the direction towards the town. He wondered where his other student could have gotten off to. No matter. He would find him shortly.

Renzo listened as Naka, introduced himself to Amaya. He had just fixed his hair from earlier, and then saw that his sensei had a weird smile spread across his face, as he seemed the look at Renzo's hair once more. No, no, no! He thought as Nakahiro messed up his head once more. One could see Renzo was not pleased. He again attempted to fix his hair and followed his sensei, no doubt they were off to pick up the third member. Renzo could only wonder as to who it could be.

Giving a courtesy nod to her new Sensei, which Amaya wasn't pleased at all, she followed behind Renzo. Amaya knew this would eventually happen since she did graduate the academy so Amaya just got over the whole thing. She just have to get use to the whole trusting and working with teammates considering the fact she looked disabled. She just hope her comrades don't under estimate her just because of how she looked.[exit]
