Her earlier triumph in getting her spells to work semi well had gone to her head. Now Syqvara was flourishing her staff as if she knew what she was truly doing. A bolder in the way? No problem! Lightning to blow it up! Or just put a big crack in it. Flanked by her two familiars, a Scorra and a Kinfa baby, she decided to walk into the nearest village. She was running low on supplies anyways so it wasn't like she was going out of her way! The red head had a smile on her face as she practically skipped along. Even though she was now around people she was still using her spells to do little things. Mostly she had managed to avoid having her magic go too close to anyone so she saw no problem in practicing. (( I suck at intros. ))

Issaly was resting with his group. Abysio laid next to him as Saalin laid behind. The large reptile letting Issaly rest against him. Therus sitting on Issaly's bent knee as the youth read his mentor's old field journal. He took note that he had seen a few of these herbs. They were worth gathering. Under his legs stretched out was Ullyee, the female rather content with her current position. They all were content till Therus heard Sy...the the sprite flew up spotted the female and promptly hide with a squeak. Issaly looked up to the path. Wondering what that was.

Her magic practicing didn't bother her familiars, in fact they seemed to follow along without so much as a blink. Sy was more oblivious to her surroundings as she made another rock turn into small pebbles and shower the area. Drent, the small kinfa, promptly took off at that point and the leaf girl thought her magic had scared him. Little did she know the kinfa had spotted the sprite and thought it was food. So her brightly colored blue baby bird ran at Issaly with the intent to snag up a snack. Syqvara blinked as she saw this and paused mid spell, causing her magic to veer off course and strike a rock that was rather close to the boy. Elyam took this as a sign that she was attacking and squawked as he followed after the kinfa. Now mortified at what she had unexpectedly started Sy paused and stared wide eyed at her familiars. "Drent! Elyam! Stop!"

Issaly was perfectly content, till he heard a gods awful screech. Jumping with a rather loud squeak he looked at Therus who let out that sound. The sprite then flew into Issaly's hair as Abysio stood. Letting out a soul quivering growl the Janarim was insantly in front of Issaly and the others. Saalin joined him, his tail curled around Issaly who had found himself being protected. Ullyee on the other hand had darted out, fast as a whip to bounce off Elyam knocking the Scorra down. Whether or not the other beast struck her as it went down wasn't her concern. She slid to Abysio's other side hissing. Issaly sprang up. "Guys, calm down!"

When she saw the hoard of familiars react to her own two she let out a gasp. Then Elyam went down. Syqvara moved toward her scorra. "Elyam!" Well this was turning out to be a bad day already. Despite there being a rather threatening wall of familiars in front of her she knelt down to check on her bird. "You idiot, I wasn't attacking anyone." Sy frowned as she let her hands check on the feathery familiar. Once she knew he was alright she looked toward Issaly. or as best as she could through the barrier of beasts. "I'm really sorry! I didn't mean for them to act like this." Then she started looking for Drent. The baby kinfa was trying to nudge his way through the legs of the janarim and get to the sprite, still chirping.

Abysio had stopped growling as he stared down at the baby. Closing his front legs he lowered his head to nose it back out. Ullyee stopped her hissing to stare at the infant as well. She glanced up to Abysio then back to Issaly. Wriggling through Saalin's legs she popped out and nosed her way into Issaly's bag. The shifter blinked. "Here...a few treats. I can only imagine that she has a baby you wanna spoil." He chuckled then watched as she wriggled her way back out. Ullyee chirped at the baby dropping a few treats at its feet before she chattered back at Saalin. The large lizard relaxed and Issaly was able to walk forward. "Geeze. Its alright. My group reacts strongly to things. Relax guys." He looked down at the baby. "Therus is not a snack, i'm afraid."

Drent chirped a bit more when the janarim nosed at it. Apparently the little bird was unafraid. When treats were presented to him he flapped his little wings gleefully and started to nibble on them. Elyam eventually got back to his feet though he didn't seem to be aggressive any longer. Sy relaxed a little as she saw that Drent wasn't going to be harmed. "The little one gets bold when he thinks there is food to be had.." She said. The scorra stayed close to her but he was eyeing the others carefully. "Drent likes to eat bugs, he likely thought the sprite was one." An easy mistake from a distance.

Issaly chuckled. "Its fine. He's a cute little guy." he nodded. "That I can agree with. Therus has been nearly eaten a few times due to his size. Its alright." Abysio was eyeing the scorra in the same way it was eyeing them. Issaly brushed himself off. "The name's Issaly..."

Elyam puffed up a little to make himself appear more intimidating, something that made Sy turn her head to stare at him. "Would you stop that.." Came a harsh whisper. The large bird responded by fluttering his wings and smacking her in the face gently with his feathers. The red head swatted at the bird and glared. "Elyam!" Frustrated with the bird she shook her head and looked at the shifter as he spoke again. "Oh, I'm Syqvara, and thank you.." Both for the compliment to Drent and for not letting his much larger familiars eat hers.

Issaly smiled gently at her as he leaned back against Abysio. The large Janarim sitting there perfectly calm at the action. Ullyee nuzzled the baby bird back to its owners side. Her motherly trait showing in how she paitently nosed, waited for the infant to try to move towards Abysio again then nosed it further towards its safety. Issaly chuckled. "What were you doing out here by the way, Miss. Syqvara. I'm sure your companions aren't too far behind you." He mused what the female was doing out here and what she was on the path to become. He was set on healer since his time with the elderly shfiter and all the male knew.

"Companions...?" She had to blink as she worked out in her mind what he could possibly mean. "Uhm.. it's just me and my familiars." Sy didn't travel with anyone else. No one had ever expressed a want to do so and the one person she had traveled with before.. well, he had stayed with the bandit leader. Not that she blamed him. Talin was good looking. "I was practicing my magic." Syqvara motioned to her staff then blushed. She was getting better, very slowly, but her skills were mediocre at best.

Issaly was intrested. "What sort of magic? I'm going to be learning myself soon. I'm not sure what to learn just yet. I'll find a good teacher." He smiled as he tilted his head. Already this was proving to be a good day. He met a potential new friend. Then he blinked. "Wait..your alone? That doesn't seem right. Well...not exactly alone. You have those two just like I have my four. Still though. Human company would be nice once in a while. I know!" He walked forward extending a hand. "Join us for a small afternoon snack?" That was becoming a habit of his.

"Well... offensive magic is all I know right now, but I have been trying to learn some healing stuff as well." Syqvara shrugged her shoulders slightly. "I'm not very good at either." With a nervous smile she looked at all of Issaly's animals. Then she heard him comment about her being alone. Sy had grown used to it. However, it seemed that this young shifter didn't like the idea of her without someone to travel with and she chuckled. It was nice to have someone care, even if it was a stranger. His invitation was met with a smile and a nod. "Sure." Sy wasn't sure if she was supposed to take his hand or not, and not wanting to feel awkward she bent down to pick Drent up. "I know this little one would love a snack."

Issaly nodded as he walked over to a low flat rock. Saalin walked over allowing the shifter to pull out a rather large thin blanket. He spread it out on the rock before walking around to set up a small fire pit nearby. Lighting the fire the young man gustured to the blanket. "Feel free to sit there while I get everything ready. My teacher taught me many things about herbal teas...is there anything in particular you'd like to ease? Stress? Tension? An uneasy stomach?" He rattled off a few common things that he hand the herbs handy for. After setting the herbs out he sat back stoking the fire till he heard her answer. His familiars meanwhile had set out small bowls and plates of various treats. Abysio lowered his head to push his snout under the small Kinfa. Lifting the little bird onto the rock and beside a bowl of the treat they seemed to like from before. Ullyee chittered at Syqvara, nosing a bowl of dried fruit towards her. Issaly smiled serenely.

She watched curiously as he seemed to busy himself with everything. Unsure of if she should sit she waited. Then all at once she was invited and offered tea as Drent was lifted up onto the rock. Blinking she gave a nod and moved to sit next to the bowl that was beeing scooted toward her. "Oh, thank you. Uhm.. do you have anything for nerves?" While she appeared calm on the outside, or at least as calm as she could ever look, her insides were a jumbled mess. She was facing someone new and still trying to gather the courage to face her mother. It wasn't easy for a fresh out of the shy phase girl. Drent was delighted by the treat and quickly set to work on nibbling while Elyam, the scorra, moved closer to Sy. She of course offered the larger bird some dried fruit between her own timid bites.
