Room 317, Lotti's side is usually very clean unless she is in the middle of tasting foods to write an article about, then there will be a lot of boxes with assorted food, also there is a basket of dog toys (half given to her as a joke, the other her buying them to save her shoes and the shoes of her roommate) She sleeps closer to the window.

A lot of the Windows have black out curtains on them due to her roommate, as well as having invested in a book on sign langue and two white boards with assorted colours of dry erase pens.

The female let out a heavy sigh as she placed her suit case on her bed after having emptied most of her other bag. She proceeded to pull out two white boards from her bag as she contuied to fiddle with the room, mainly setting up the curtains to block out sunlight since it would be horrible if she woke up and her roommate was dead due to her neglecting to put up the blackout curtains. Well if she had to room with a Vampire usually she would not care and deem it their own responsibility since she was not their mother, nor did she actually like vampires, but as stated this was an exception to her rules, why you may ask, because her roommate was that of the Van Hise clan, the clan who she basically grew up around and whom her dear old grandmother worked for. Of course they were also the reason she could go to this school so she was grateful for that as well.

A sigh slipped past her pale lips as she finished covering every possible window to block out light when daybreak hit. Of course Lotti proceeded to do many other things like set up her alarm clock at a proper time, place her small white boards on the desks as well as write a series of sticky notes for her new roommate, such as "Feel free to ask me anything I have provided a whiteboard until I can learn some common sign" and of course the list went on of course not wanting to seem like a mother hen she did not put too many sticky notes around since she did not want the blond male to feel awkward when he came into the room, though the one thing she could look forward to was not having loud music constantly playing, and probably being a better atmosphere for her studying then some of the other dorm mates she could have.

Of course when Lotti looked at the clock she saw that it was too late to go to the meet and greet, but that didn't matter to her after all she could just hear some of the mocking tons of a few of the Van Hise children if she had shown up in the demanded attire of a dress, such thoughts made her feel gross. Lotti did not mind heels, except for if she had to run in them, but dresses where awful, she hated them almost as much as she hated a large population of the vampire community, of course her grandmother did force her to go dress shopping, and now the female had a purple dress hidden deep within her closet, hopefully if any of the other Van Hise came to her dorm they would not look though her closet and find the dress, but she assumed having hoodies, jeans, and shorts would hide the dress fairly well.

The werewolf tapped her red painted nails against the surface of the desk she made sure to have her whiteboard handy just encase, of course then again the event could make the male too tired to write, which Lotti would respect, having to be formal for a long time does take a lot out of a person. She quickly got bored with waiting and decided to open one of her cook books and glance through the pages. Lotti avoided any cook book that had a lot of chocolate recipes since she had a weak stomach for chocolate she glanced at a recipe that had Avocados in it and hummed she did know that when the newspaper club started again she would have to contribute her articles on either the cafeteria food, the history of some lucky food or recipe, and of course her most liked article being one about her eating food that is requested and writing about it, in some cases it was horrible, but other times Lotti was pleasantly surprised. "Oh this one looks good" Lotti mumbled to herself as she hummed a little lying on her stomach as she flipped through the pages.

                                                    Ballroom | Meet and Greet

So the Meet and Greet had been a bit eventful. Callum saw his cousins again but didn't want to interrupt their little conversation so he stuck to himself. As always, people would try to sit down and make friends with him but he just ignored them. Once they had realized that he was deaf, they merely just got up and left as quickly as they could without making any sound even though he wouldn't have been able to hear them. H knew that they were there but he really didn't want to make any sort of conversation with them at the moment. For now, Callum just wanted nothing more than to let this event be over with. He looked around for anybody that he might've known, glad to see that there were so many people already getting out of their own element and conversating with people that they normally wouldn't. He couldn't help but watch their lips as they spoke, catching a few things from his lip reading skill. "She had to work all Summer and wasn't able to get in touch with her boyfriend who didn't text her all break." Callum looked away and crinkled his nose. He wasn't working on the newspaper so he didn't need to try to read anybody's lips. Besides, he was still working on this skill so it wasn't perfect. He knew this, but he still loved to try and guess what everybody was saying. In the bottom of his heart, he did his best not to get down about not being able to hear. Hearing was overrated, anyway.

                                                    -----------------------------------------------------

                                                    Dorm Room | Lotti

Callum began to think about Simon and the chaffeurs. He hoped that they managed to find the right dorm room and set up everything. He had completely forgot that they were given that task. He had written down all the things that he wanted and where so he could get a general idea of where he could look if he wanted to get them so that he wouldn't have to ask his roommate where he could find his own belongings. That would definitely be embarrassing especially since the person that he was going to be rooming with was the granddaughter of the maid that worked for the van Hise family. Callum knew her growing up but he was one to stray away from anybody even with his own cousins. Not being able to talk to them was a major insecurity of his but over the years of constantly telling himself that he was better off playing by himself, the mindset just sort of stuck like that. Now he had become disinterested in doing any sort of communication unless it came onto him and he wasn't able to help himself. Oh, but it did help that Lotti was also in the newspaper club with him. It was sad to say, but he might be more comfortable hanging with Lotti than his own cousins. They were much more intimidating than a maid's granddaughter.

In the hallway, Callum had to raise his arm to block the strong stench of human. It was over-powering that Callum's eyes glossed over for a second but he did his best to keep himself focused so that he wouldn't run after whoever the morsel was. He stumbled as he finally recognized the number on the door and reached for the doorknob only to trip and knock himself against the door with a hard thump. He hoped that nobody saw him do that as he looked along the hallway. He removed his arm from his nose as he grabbed the key and shoved it into the keyhole, unlocking the door. He swung the door open and ran inside. Locking the door, Callum turned around to find Lotti near her bed, a cookbook near her. He blinked just a bit as he fixed his glasses and raised his hand to give her an awkward wave, mouthing 'hi'. He averted his gaze, hoping that he hadn't interrupted whatever she was doing.

Callum looked around the room, seeing some of his belongings about. He smiled a bit, seeing that they were in places that weren't too weird. 'I should be able to find these things easily. Thanks, Simon.' He thought, while he fumbled with the buttons of his suit. He noticed a sticky note and bent down to read it, looking at Lotti with a smile when he was finished, taking note of the windows being blocked. "Ah...." He mumbled as he walked over towards the whiteboards and picked it up. He held it against his hip while he took the cap off of the dry erase marker. He began to write : 'Thanks for the windows, Lotti. Where's the shower?' He made it a point to teach her a bit of sign language before the year was over. While writing on the whiteboard would be a lot faster than playing charades, it was also slow and would make Callum furious whenever he ended up making tons of writing mistakes. He grabbed the other whiteboard and walked over to her, setting it near her just in case she wanted to say something to him. He couldn't help but notice how smooth and slender her legs were.

Callum looked away and walked over to his own bed, giving distance between the two. He probably should've begged for Add or Kit to be his roommate. Even though he would've been stepping on eggshells around them, at least he wouldn't have this lame attraction towards a female's long legs.

[[ We find out Callum's a leg man, as am I. HAHAHAHA. ]]

Lotti blinked a few times as she looked from her cook book worriedly at her door after hearing a loud thunk against her door, she had a look of mild worry, more so for the person that hit her door. Of course to her surprise Callum quickly opened the door slamming it shut and locking it. The faint sent of blood quickly brushed through the room as she looked at the male with a worried look hoping the loud thunk had not been him, mainly since she felt as if it was her job to make sure very little harm came to the Van Hise family as she could. She gave the male a toothy grin and waved back, hoping that she could make the male vampire a little more comfortable with staying in the room with a female werewolf.

The female perked up a little as she saw Callum look at the note she left though she could not see the look on his face very well she found herself looking back down, keeping an ear out for any sound of movement from the blond pureblood. Lotti did not get to know Callum very well when he was younger, probably had to do with him being deaf and the fact that he seemed to like to play by himself more then with the werewolf girl, though she was partly grateful for that due to incidents with the other Van Hise kids but none the less she hoped to fix the wall that was metaphorically there and at least have the blond comfortable around her. Her eyes quickly glanced up at Callum when she heard a noise come from him before glancing back to her book flipping the page to some recipe about a meat stew.

Lotti smiled at the male as she picked up the white board, quickly writing "No problem" On it showing it to Callum with a smile as she stood up walking over to the door to that the bathroom was behind, it was your standard bathroom nothing fancy really it was small, and clearly built for one person to be able to fit. She quickly wrote Well here is the bathroom she showed the male with a grin before walking back to her bed. Lotti did not notice that Callum had looked at her legs and mainly assumed that the male was just tired from the meet and greet.

After a bit Lotti finally decided to turn in for the night after getting ready for bed as she crawled under her bed's covers she curled up into a ball and quickly fell asleep.

The loud alarm rang near the brunettes body as she grumbled sitting up in her pj's glaring at the bright red light of her alarm her hair was messy and her shirt was bunched up showing her stomach, not that she could see due to the blackout curtains she stumbled out of her bed falling face first as she tried to shut the alarm up, which ended up with her unplugging the clock and causing her to grumble some curses under her breath as she scratched her head grabbing her sticky notes quickly writing the words "showering" with a horrible slant as she tiredly grabbed her own purple towel and bathing gear, as well as a change of clothing before slamming the note onto the bathroom door with a yawn as she closed the door behind her.

After her shower she dried her short hair with a towel. Putting on her jean shorts with a sigh she had a different black hoodie on, as a look of content crossed her face before she began to brush her teeth and finish up in the washroom.

Stepping out of the bathroom feeling refreshed she noticed that the lights were still out in the dorm room, a sigh escaped her lips, as she pondered whether she should leave the male to sleep, but then again if he was late for class she'd feel guilty, still drying her wet hair Lotti flicked the lights on and peeled the sticky note off the bathroom door putting her bathroom things back where she had them in one of the baskets under her bed, she quickly got the white board and wrote "Rise and shine Callum, bathrooms yours now" She put that next to the male with a small chuckle slipping past her pale lips as she had a smirk on her face before grabbing her bag and putting her laptop, notebooks and assorted amounts of pencils and pens into the bag she then tried to figure out which pair of shoes she should wear. She had two pairs of heels, her cross country running shoes, and then a pair of normal sneakers. She hummed pondering over the shoes before grabbing her normal sneakers and putting them on with a smirk as she then felt read for the day, well mostly, she still had to fix her alarm clock again since she unplugged it.

                                                    Dorm Room | Lotti

Callum watched as Lotti grabbed the marker and began to write on the dry-erase board. He gazed at her as she finished her lettering. 'So slow.' He thought to himself, bringing up a hand to chew on the knuckle of his pinkie, drawing a bit of blood. It was a nasty habit of his but he couldn't seem to stop himself from mindlessly doing it. When he was younger, there would be a period that he wouldn't do it and that was only because his tutor would grab his hand and slap it with a ruler whenever he did it. Without anybody here to do that to him, his hand would reflexibly raise up for his fangs to claw on. Lotti had turned the board around and continued to write to him as she motioned to where the bathroom was. He peered inside, smelling the tile of the bathroom. He nodded back to her, as thanks, and went towards the wardrobe to grab his clothing. Everything was in orderly fashion and, for that, he was glad. It would only stress Callum out more if he saw his clothing in a pile or stacked in horder-like fashion. It wasn't like Callum had an OCD problem or anything, it was just aesthically pleasing to see order and cleaniness.

Callum glanced back at Lotti before writing something on the whiteboard: 'Shower.' He set the whiteboard under his arm with his clothes as he freed his right hand and raised it up to his head and began to do a sprinkling-like motion twice. ('Shower') He made sure that she saw this. He pointed to the word once more and did the motion again before smiling at her, setting down the whiteboard on the desk before going into the bathroom to take his shower.

When he was finished, Callum carried his dirtied clothes out with him and walked out, feeling the coolness of the air. His glasses fogged up just slightly but it wasn't quick enough so he pulled them off, slightly irritated. He glanced over towards Lotti and noticed her sleeping form and just smiled at her before dropping the clothes into the hamper. He sighed, setting his folded glasses down on the nightstand. He took another glance at Lottie, his vision slightly blurry, imagining those luxious legs again. He groaned inaudibly as he pressed his face against the towel. 'Get those disgusting thoughts out of your head, Callum. Your parents didn't teach you to drool over girls. Besides, she's the granddaughter of the help. That wouldn't look good on your part, right? Father always said to keep business and pleasure separate.' He wanted nothing more than to steal another look at her beautiful skin but he willed himself against it. He shut his eyelids tightly as he climbed into his bed, throwing the covers over him. He remembered that he still had the towel around his neck so he threw that down on the desk chair. He would deal with that in the morning.

RISE AND SHINE, BUT NOT REALLY.

As it was nearing the morning, Callum would smell the scent of Lotti's shampoo while she showered. He tossed around a bit, moving from one shoulder to the other. He didn't want to wake up but he really didn't need this sleep, either. A slow, conscious thought came to him. 'If you were a Vampire like the old days you wouldn't even need sleep so what are you doing right now?' He pushed that thought away. He wanted to be a lazy Vampire and just hide in his blankets all day. Can't Monday come slower? Can't the classes start tomorrow? Callum was completely in his tired world of dark lights but he could feel himself getting angry as he was slowly starting to wake up. 'Nooo... Sleep, don't leave me.' He begged. He flinched just slightly when he felt something near him. He knew, for certain, that it was Lotti. Raising his heavy head, Callum opened his eyes a couple of times to try to adjust his sight. He wobbled a bit as he pressed his forehead against his pillow. "Uhhh...." He sighed as he reluctantly sat up his bed, bed-hair going everywhere. He leaned over to grab his glasses, pulling them on as the world came into clear view. He saw Lotti near her belongings ready to head out already and he panicked a bit. 'What time is it?' He asked himself as he look at the clock. He sighed when he saw that he had plenty of time before classes started.

Moving the covers away from him, Callum got out of bed and grabbed the whiteboard that she had set beside him, using his hand to wipe away what she had written to write something else: 'What's your next class?' He set it down beside her and gave her a moment to read it before letting her focus her attention back at him so that he could show her the signing movements for it. With his right hand he motioned at her ('You') before putting both hands, left in front of right, thumb side up. He moved the right hand over the left so that it was now in front of his left hand, ('Next'). Bringing his hands together, he made a sort of oval like he was holding a sandwich between his hands then finished it by moving his hands like a book opening up. ('Class')

He was sort of hoping that she would have some classes with him especially since they were reunited but it also give him a reason to finally walk a girl to class. Sure, he had Adelaide last year but who was to say that she had the same classes in the same building as him. He really hoped that the Newspaper club would reunite for another year because it was tons of fun for him. 'Text... texting. OH, DARN. What if mom and dad texted me?' He thought to himself as he turned away from Lotti and went towards his carry-on bag. He opened it up and looked inside, pushing his hand in to look for his phone. He really needed some sort of string attached to him because having a phone was really useless for him. If it wasn't on him he wouldn't know where it was. Sure, it was the only means of communication that his parents had with him currently but it was useless if he couldn't hear it ringing. Simon had set it to vibrate but he wasn't like Daredevil. He couldn't see vibrations.

With relief on his face, Callum felt the phone. He pulled it out and opened it up to see that he had plenty of forgotten texts from his parents. He shook his head and cleared them all. 'I'm fine.' He told them in his mind as he went towards contacts. Currently he only had the numbers of his parents in the phone seeing as how they got it for him over the Summer. He walked back over to Lotti and handed the phone to her, hoping that she would know what he meant. He pointed to her clothes and pointed to the bathroom before pointing back at her books. While he went to get ready he hoped that she would put her number in his phone so that he could just text her.

Lotti looked down at the white board with a smile before looking or at Callum to see him going through the sign langue for what he had wrote on the board. Honestly Lotti found this very helpful due to how difficult it was to learn from the book, seeing the actual motions helped out a lot and made it easier for her not to mess up words like hungry to have other meanings. Lotti while Callum was demonstrating the movements tried to follow with his like she had done with the word shower the other night, this would make talking the the male way faster and probably less agrivating when it came to spelling, though Lotti knew she'd accidentally mess up at some point, she just prayed that it would not be a innocent sounding word turning into a who differnt deffinition.

Of course while Callum was off Lotti was busy doing the motions she had just learned mouthing the words so that she'd remeber them. Of course she then realized she should actually tell the male her classes so that way if any of them matched, grabbing a purple dry erase maker she quickly earased what Callum had written "I have Journalism, Sociology, Walking into the Dragon's Den: Engaging Giant Beasts and Emerging Alive, Human Development and Family Studies, and Inspired Cooking: Creating Dishes from Art" She said with a smile as she flipped the white board to show Callum, she had a faint hope that Callum and her were in a some classes then again if the newspaper club was still running she hoped that Callum would join it again, then again she didn't really know if vampires could enjoy food outside of blood, dispite growing up around them, her grandmother always made sure that she never ate around them, then again she was just the grandaughter of the help.

Lotti blinked a few times as Callum hand Lotti his phone, she smiled a little understanding that he wanted her number as she pulled out her own cellphone when Callum went off to get ready she put her number in his phone with a smile though she was confused by the lack of contacts in his phone, she decided that it would be rude to ask, as she then procceed to try and find Callum's number to add to her own contacts, she mentally noted how much easier this would be plus she felt like it would be her duty to text Callum, it was her goal to be friends with the male.

Lotti hummed a little as she put her phone in her bag and place Callum's safely on his bed, she desided it would be best to wait for the male, plus she still had to see if it was a full moon or not, and fix her own alarm clock, she looked at the device and laughed nervously at the black screen on it. Of course unplugging it was her own fault she just hoped that she would not throw the device againest the wall while trying to fix it.

She kept clicking the buttons on her clock before finally getting it to the right time, she had a bit of time to kill before her classes started, and usually if Callum had been like her previous roommates invited him for breakfast, but she was pretty sure breakfast was drinking blood so she decided to pass on the idea, though she did have local blood banks bookmarked on her google maps.
