Kikomo stood on the edge of a tall boulder, his fur sticking out straight from his body. Now was the time to panic, but he knew he couldn't. If he let himself get too overworked, he could faint, and then he would never find Eiko. She was such a little troublemaker, the grey tabby kitten he had adopted only a few moons prior. Hiroshi had never given him such trouble, the ginger tomcat that stuck by his side like honey.
"Eeeeiikoooo!" he called urgently, hoping she could come to his call. She was such a tiny little thing... she could have gotten anywhere! Even a Skinwalker foal could snap her up as a snack. But no, he couldn't think like that, or he'd have one of his spells.
Springing from the top of his boulder with cat-like grace, he began to scent around, attempting to catch her smell. While she may be fast, she couldn't have gotten far... she had such short legs after all...

Note: Anything in italics is Kasha's thoughts. Her thoughts do not always match her words or actions.
KITTTEN! Kittten, kitten, kitten! Her nose never lied, especially when hunting. There was a cat close. There had to be. Her adrenaline spiked and her senses sharpened. There! That way. Using her nose she pointed in the correct direction and dashed off.
Like her father and sisters, she had an obsession with cats. As far as she was concerned, they were cats. They meowed, they hunted, and they tricked and caused mischief like cats. She herself was most beautiful tricksy huntress of all. At least she thought so. Certainly most beloved of her sisters because of her tails. Her beloved twin quilin-cat tails. The flames on her legs leapt and danced and doubled in her excitement. She was close!
There! In a tree. Grey kitten. Not cougar kitten either. Real kitten. Real and rare kitten. She mewed at the creature above her in the tree as she got closer. "Perr merow? Comes down. I wants to see you." She swished her tails up and tried to touch the cat with the tip of one. "Needs a hunting companion. Keeps saying this. I coulds make a hunting cougar get you down. Should looks for one. Bring another cat home to dad. That woulds please him" She continued to burble, talk, chitter and mew at the kitten trying to get it down.

((I'm treating the cats like familiars, so they can communicate? Not sure if that's okay? ))Kikomo twitched as he finally picked up his little kitten's scent at the base of the trees. Without hesitation, he turned and bounded through the underbrush, following the weaving path as best he could. Hiroshi padded along behind him, quite used to this process by now. The two would find little Eiko... they had to find her. Meanwhile, the grey kitten peered down as a strange black soq started making sounds at her from below her tree-perch. She was playing her usual game of hide-and-seek with her horse-cat-friend, and this new one was not the one who was supposed to find her. Her ears twitched back and forth as the black Soq began chittering at her. She sounded like a cat, but Eiko wasn't quite so easily fooled. With a mewl, she stretched out a paw and batted a little at the tip of the proffered tail, "You aren't my Kiko. Kiko says not all Soq are safe..." In that moment, Kikomo jumped through the trees, coming upon a scene he hadn't been expecting. The black mini before him with cat tails, his little Eiko in the tree, it was all too much for him and his heart jumped. In the moment of excitement, his eyes rolled back in his head and he fell to the ground in a dead faint. "Oh! Kiko!", little Eiko cried out and jumped down from the tree to paw at her fainted friend with worry. "You shouldn't scare him like that Eiko. You know better." Hiroshi purred as he stepped out from behind the trees after Kikomo, peering over at the other mini calmly, "And who are you?".

Kasha heard a bush twitch and rustle as the kitten above her played with her tail. She turned her head and the kitten was immediately forgotten as the male hoped out of the bush. It was perhaps a bit distressing she hadn't scented him first instead of the kitten. But either way it didn't matter now. MALE CAT! BIG MALE MALE CAT! ME SIZED BIG MALE CAT! Within seconds a part of her brain she usually ignored kicked in. She hadn't had to charm a male in ages. Not since her last attempted conquest had been a complete and utter disaster with all three of the resulting children being completely and utterly useless to her and her family. She turned on the charm now. This male was much more desirable then anything else she'd ever seen. Everything about him. Everything. Her mouth watered like she was about to have a particularly tasty rat....and then he fainted and all this in the span of a few seconds. "Merow? Why dids he faints? Isn'ts he a true cat?" She padded over to prod at him and tilt her head in confusion.

Eiko almost forgot about the new lady Soq until she came over to prod at her horse-cat. "Hey!" she growled, puffing up like a hissing cotton ball, "Don't you poke at him! He--" "Enough Eiko," Hiroshi purrumed deeply before turning to the stranger and stating simply, "He is cat." In that moment, the brief sleeping spell passed as quickly as it came and Kikomo's head popped off the ground. "Huh? What? Mousedung, it happened again... didn't it..." the cat mini groaned until he spotted the lady hovering over him. She was quite pretty... she even had kitty tails. "Oh, hello..." he purred and stretched out, attempting to show off his cat-like flexibility and play off the narcoleptic spell as something silly that just happens sometimes, "Such a pretty lady seemed to have swept me off my paws..."

Kasha simply blinked. It was her only possible reaction to the three of them. Two, instead of just one, two real cats who were not cougar and the big her sized male cat. It was a funny kitty dream come true. Except the male cat had the faints. She tried to decide if this could be problematic. It was definitely confusing since her experience strongly suggested cats were tricksy and extremely energetic. "You faints. Why? I don'ts...if you cat then you shoulds be fierce and quick. My family all like that. We all cats." She sniffed at him because she was still worried. But she was more intrigued than anything. He had paws and a kitty tail and his ears were so cat! He made her wish she had paws, even though up to now it had never occurred to her to want them as she'd simple accepted that she was horse-cat or cat-horse as it were. "You has paws. They're so pretty."

Eiko puffed up even more, her little kitten fut sticking out in an unimpressive attempt to look ferocious, "Kiko is special! Not all cats are the same, and my Kiko is the best cat! You---" At this, Kikomo reached out a big kitty paw, pulled his kitten to himself, and began to groom her gently. "Little Eiko, it's okay. You were surprised too the first time, were you not?" The kitten just sputtered her indigence and wriggled out of Kiko's grasp, launching herself back up a tree to sulk huffily. Meanwhile, Hiroshi simply sat and licked the back of his paw, bringing it over his ears and face in a lazy display of his boredom. Finally having a chance to give the lady his full attention, Kikomo blinked his doleful golden eyes at her, stating emphatically, "I am quite cat, and I am fine." Stepping forward, he stood unreasonably close to the interesting new mare and grinned playfully, "I like that you have two kitty tails to play with..." With a quiet purr, he leaned in even closer to sniff at her nose, "I am Kikomo, beautiful kitten, and you are?"

Quietly she watched the display between the three of them. The kitten was no threat and was much less interesting than the big cat she now knew was called Kiko so she continued to ignore both the kitten and the larger tabby cat. What surprised her most was how easy it appeared it would be to manipulate the cat-stallion. He already appeared interested in her. She couldn't imagine the reaction her family would to have to kittens sired by this stallion. They'd be her prizes. Proof she was good at choosing her marks and bringing home offspring worthy of her strong cat-ish bloodline. Her first try had been awful. The sire of her children had somehow found her out before she could take her children for herself. She'd managed to steal only one of the three baskets, a pretty white one. She'd hoped somehow it would be a miracle child but when he'd popped out of his basket a girly and sickly looking tailless weakling....she'd been furious! She'd dragged him back to his fathers territory and left him...and then seethed further upon seeing his siblings had both been born healthy, tailed and completely guarded on all sides. Disaster! Her father had tisked disapprovingly and blamed it on her youth. She'd vowed to show him next time. Kiko would make perfect redemption.
She smiled at him and layered on the charm thick. She would do this right! "Thank yous. I am Kasha. I love my beautiful tails. I've never seens another with one. You makes such a handsome and unusuals picture." Sniffing and touching was a good sign. Even welcome in this case so she all allowed it. Even going so far as to mirror his actions.

Kikomo really was just a big tom cat with simple wants and needs. He liked fresh kill, naps in the sun, and pretty dames. Funnily enough, it was unlikely he would even need to be truly manipulated for Kasha to achieve her ends, because as long as he continued to get the three things he liked, everything else was just a bonus or clutter. In fact, today he felt quite lucky. Most other Soq didn't understand his cat-like demeanor, and his particular enjoyments. It was refreshing to run into someone who not only seemed to get it, but who thoroughly embraced the lifestyle herself. Though she did have an unusually cute way of talking... but what was an accent in the face of such lovely prospects as having this lady's company to enjoy? A soft chuckle escaped him as she returned the charm. Now this was a game he enjoyed playing. "Why Kasha, you'll make me blush, and we hardly know each other!" Kiko crooned as he twined his way around her, slipping under her tails and walking back up her other side. "You know, before little Eiko got lost, I was planning on going for a hunt. I would still like to... Do you hunt?"

Unbidden she felt a purr escape her as he rubbed up along one of her sides and then the other. Her father and her and her youngest sister Kali did that sometimes in particularly affectionate moods. She'd never encountered another that did that. More normal minis showed affection in a completely different way. She was used to one way around her family and another on the outside. Kiko had just mixed the two unexpectedly and not all together in an unwanted way. She puzzled over this in her head as she answered him. "Blushes all you wants. I'm sure you're just as handsomes. Yes I like to hunts! I was huntings when I smelled your kitten. I've never seens one before. Just cougar kittens."

Roarie Desu I am so sorry this has taken so long... are you still interested??? I am finally out of school and my muse is back full-force... <3 Kikomo chuckled as he felt her purr rumble through her body and against him as he twined his way around. He had never encountered another female outside of his family that purred. The gods must have be smiling upon him that day for him to have come across this miracle of a lady. With a small grin, he pressed his nose against her ear and whispered almost sultrily, "Well... stick around me beautiful, and you can sees my kittens all you want". Pulling away rather reluctantly, he looked down at his little friends then back up at Kasha, "Shall we then? What are you in the mood to get after today? Together we could get a nice, juicy pronghorn, easy."
