The bell rang, sounding the end of the period. Talfia gave a rather obvious sigh of relief. Teaching Life Skills wasn't at all what she wanted to do with her career, but she was trying to work with the opportunities she had presenting themselves to her, and working at the Academy was a rather honorable thing to do. Talfia really shouldn't even be complaining at all. So many teachers would kill for the chance to work at the Academy, no matter what subject they were teaching. Talfia just needed to suck it up.

"Alright, kids. I know you're in a hurry to get out and run off to go do teenagerly things. Whatever it is you teenagers do these days." Talfia shrugged at her rhetorical question. "Just remember to return all your jars to my desk on your way out. And Parox, don't forget that we need to talk about your overdue assignments before you leave." The chimera gave the demon child a meaningful look before clapping her sharp, taloned hands together. "Alright, off you all go!"

Now that the class was dismissed, all the young Nightmares popped up like a hive mind and scrambled to leave the class. She knew that a lot of people, including herself, thought Life Skills was a pointless class. She didn't blame them for being such eager beavers to get out while they still had their brain cells left.

[Could you find me Parox's uncert? I don't have it anymore and I'd really like it.]

Life skills... What a class. Despite having a spirited teacher, the class still made Parox dread dragging herself into the classroom and doing that day's work. And homework was even worse! She really gave the assignments no thought outside of the life skills classroom. Which was why she was not surprised when Talfia told her to stay after class. The amethyst skinned demoness pouted, watching with sad android green eyes as the rest of the class filed out of the room. Oh, freedom, how she longed for it

Parox stood up, removing herself from her seat. She grabbed the jar from today's assignment and walked up to the front of the room, tail swaying gently behind her. She set the jar down on the desk and sighed heavily. "Sorry Talfia... I just can't bring myself to do anything remotely related to life skills! It's so boring! And I am all for fun. I can't handle anything if there is no ounce of fun in it." The demoness looked up at the chimera teacher and locked eyes with her.

"I know, Parox. But that doesn't change the fact that you need to make an effort in order to pass the class ... I get it. I was a teenager not that long ago myself -- I get what it feels like to take a boring class. But sometimes we have to do things we don't want to ... " Talfia's eyes glanced away as the last of the students filed out of the room. After a few moments of silence and waiting, the Chimera rose from her seat and walked over to the door, turning the ore lock to seal the door before pulling the drape down over the window in the door, then moved back sitting on top of her desk.

Instantly, she dropped the charade, patting her thigh to motion for Parox to come and join her, a small, mischievous smirk spreading across her lips. "Come," she beckoned, her tone a bit lower and a little smoother. "If you'd like, I'll show you a whole different side of Life Skills that every nightmare needs to know ... "

Parox sighed heavily. Talfia was right. She needed to at least make an effort. She did want to graduate from the academy and move on with her life, after all... "You're right, teach.... Like always... I'll try harder." She smiled over at the taller chimera. Being stuck in the academy forever would not be fun. She wanted her life to go on.

The last of her classmates left and Talfia trailed off then went silent. Moments later the door was locked, the drapes pulled down and the Talfia she preferred was now in front of her. Parox ran her hand through her hair and gave it a little fluff, a small smirk forming on her amethyst lips. What could Talfia show her today? She slowly sauntered over to her and hopped onto the desk beside her, all poise and grace as she turned to stare at her with a coy smirk. "I'd love to see. Maybe this lesson will finally give me the desire to participate..."

Talfia couldn't help but to grin the instant Parox was beside her. She couldn't keep herself from coiling an arm around the younger nightmare's waist, pulling her in tight to her side and leaned in to kiss her deeply.
"What do you say," Talfia started, murmuring against her lips. "I take you out for a night on the town ... the kids are having a sleepover at a friend's house tonight, and go straight to visit their mom right after. We could have the place to ourselves." The older chimera squeezed her partner teasingly with her claws. "Just the two of us for an evening. Maybe even the weekend ... I could show you plenty of things if given the time."

Talfia gave a rather toothy grin. Parox had given Talfia so much light and spice in her life. Jerika was gone so often, and Talfia only really ever saw her once or twice a year if she was lucky. So many missed anniversaries and birthdays and memories ... as much as Talfia once loved Jerika, her Jerika had left a long time ago. Even though Jerika never believed it. It was Talfia who had changed. not the almighty, always right Jerika ...

Talfia forced a smile. "Please say yes? I would love to have you for the long weekend ... "
