The bell rang, sounding the end of the period. Talfia gave a rather obvious sigh of relief. Teaching Life Skills wasn't at all what she wanted to do with her career, but she was trying to work with the opportunities she had presenting themselves to her, and working at the Academy was a rather honorable thing to do. Talfia really shouldn't even be complaining at all. So many teachers would kill for the chance to work at the Academy, no matter what subject they were teaching. Talfia just needed to suck it up.
"Alright, kids. I know you're in a hurry to get out and run off to go do teenagerly things. Whatever it is you teenagers do these days." Talfia shrugged at her rhetorical question. "Just remember to return all your jars to my desk on your way out. And Parox, don't forget that we need to talk about your overdue assignments before you leave." The chimera gave the demon child a meaningful look before clapping her sharp, taloned hands together. "Alright, off you all go!"
Now that the class was dismissed, all the young Nightmares popped up like a hive mind and scrambled to leave the class. She knew that a lot of people, including herself, thought Life Skills was a pointless class. She didn't blame them for being such eager beavers to get out while they still had their brain cells left.
