The train came to a screeching halt along the tracks, jerking the sleeping Fallen forward from his chair, smashing in to the Geist sitting across from him. They looked rather irked, their smoothie they had once been happily drinking now crushed between their bodies. Not only was Smolder alarmed by the suddenly jarring and rude awakening, but the fuming Geist girl had her fiery gaze locked on him, her tendrils flaring as Smolder gulped nervously. Hadn't he just been in his chair a moment ago? Where was he? What had happened? Smolder tried to shake off the haziness, not yet making a move to remove himself from the girl's lap. And Smolder suddenly wished he had as he was slapped right across the face. Now he was hazey AND sore. What did he do to deserve that!? "What was that for!?" Smolder shouted in alarm. His cheek was red hot from the slap, but soon his cheeks blazed for a different reason; his hands had landed on the girl's breasts, and he was full-on groping them through the sludgy, yogurty mess all down their shirts. Smolder let out a yelp and jumped back, flicking his hands and effectively spraying his other neighbours with the smoothie that had soaked his hands. The three Nightmares flinched and flailed to try and get out of the way, one Bapho tumbling out of their seat and gathering up their belongings as fast as they could and darting off the train, hoping and praying for a safe escape away from the crazy Fallen. Smolder, on the other hand, stood their dumbly. The two remaining nightmares hugged their seats, as if he were some monster, clearly angered and disturbed by his actions while the Geist tried to mop up the mess he had caused with some napkins she had in her pocket. "Sorry about that. Eheheheh ... " Smolder gave a small, nervous laugh before looking out the window to see what stop he was at. Oh, hey! I'm at the stop for the Academy! he realized, suddenly scrambling to grab his things and scamper off while he still had a chance to get to the platform. Cassie had to be here by now -- after all, the train had been late arriving by a couple of hours. "It was lovely meeting you! We should do this again some time!" Smolder called out from over his shoulder as he headed down the ramp to disembark the train. Soon, his feet touched down on the platform, and Smolder found himself scanning all around for his pink-haired girl, trying to spot her in the crowd, flaring his wings out to try and create some space between him and the other passengers getting off the train, still covered in smoothie remnants. She had to be around here somewhere. Noticing he was still covered in gunk, the Fallen let out a small squawk of dismay. It had been some time since he had seen Cassie in person, and this wasn't exactly how he wanted to be reunited. There wasn't much he could do, to be honest. Sure, he had a change of clothes, but where would he change? With a small sigh of defeat, Smolder reached up to touch the piercing he had gotten for a special earring -- the one with Cassie's feather attached to it. a flash of pink dangling from his own fire feather covered ears. At least that was clean. Nine forbid if he ever was caught with it looking dirty. He tried so hard to take good care of it since they exchanged feathers that night up on the tressel. He wasn't about to let his misfortune ruin that. "Cassie?" Smolder called out, just incase she was close by, starting to push his way through the crowd, using his wings to keep the other nightmare at bay so that she could have a clear view of him once they spotted on another.

Smolder was not easy to lose in a crowd, but during the delay she had settled for wandering some. She had practically missed the roar of the train over the tracks she had to jog to make it back to the station in time. She hoped Smolder wasn't disappointed she hadn't been immediately waiting there for him, a new book she had purchased at a near by shop under her arm. Huffing a little as she tried to catch her breath, she caught glimpse of Smolder's firey wings out of the corner of her eye. "Smolder!" she all but squeaked, excusing herself as she drifted against the grain of the crowd trying to disembark the station.
Her smile was bright though as she drew closer a clear question was forming on her face. Cassie raised a brow, leaning up onto her toes to grab his face and press a kiss to his lips. Her fingers trailed down his jaw as she sunk back onto her heels. "Do I need to know the story?" the Fallen asked, mimicking the way he held his wings to create a cozier circle around him. She pulled at a clean section of his clothes, emphasizing her concern. Around them she could hear a few complaints, so she reached for Smolder's hand to pull him closer towards the wall and out of the walkway.
She only pondered for a moment before deciding she had really missed the other Fallen. The anticipation of him coming, especially knowing the talk she wished to have, made her antsy for his arrival. She couldn't help but lean up and kiss him again, humming softly.

Smolder had begun to look a bit pouty as he continued to look around the platform. He couldn't see her. Had she messed up the days? WAIT. Had he messed up the days? What if he was early? What if he was late. Smolder had been about to curse aloud when the sound of his sweet girl's voice reached his feathery ears, and the Fallen man spun around in what would have been a very picture-esque moment had he not smacked someone in the face with his wings and been covered in smoothie. But all the same, Smolder grinned from one ear to the next, and stretched out his arms to embrace her. "Cassie!" he shouted excitedly. Only, he realized soundly that he was still dripping with deep purple liquid sludge and decided to throw his arms up instead to avoid getting her clothes stained, running at her to meet her like a soldier charging in to battle. Smolder hadn't managed to even get a word in before Cassie kissed his lips. It made his head swim and his heart slam hard against his chest. Yes. He missed this feeling more than he realized. "Do I need to know the story?" Smolder blinked, looking down at his soaked clothes and simply started to laugh, until the Fallen girl guided him away to safer ground. "Probably not, but it's a good one! Er, well. Embarrassing for me, but proooobably good for you." He gave a dorkish grin. "So. I was sleeping right? And then I woke up cuz the train sent me FLYING -- but not the good kind -- in to this chick Geist and I guess she must have been drinking something because it splattered between us and she looked super pissed off. But I guess she was more mad that in the fall I ended up accidentally coping a full out feel on her chest. I'm not even sure she was mad over the smoothie, but I tell ya' Cassi-bird. I didn't even know she had breasts. She was one of those girls, yunno? I barely felt them until I was awake enough to realize what kind of predicament I was in. Awkward. Anyways, I got a good slap and I think my sweater's wreck, but hey. Worth it cuz I get to see you." Smolder reached out to tweak Cassie's chin affectionately, his expression softening for her, the volume of his voice dipping low as the jesting tone left his voice. "I hope you've been well ... ?"

She listened with a patient expression, sky blue eyes filled with a quiet adoration. Her expression didn't even flicker at the contents of the train story. Seriously, it was so Smolder (as she had come to accept) that she just blinked at the appropriate times, shaking her head the slightest by the end. "Maybe I didn't need to know that one," the Fallen decided out loud with a bemused expression, reaching out to catch Smolder's hand before he could completely pull away. "Did you at least apologize?" she hummed, running her thumb over his palm.
"I've been good as I can be," the girl offered with sincerity. Aten things aside, she had just been trucking through the last of classes, and she picked up more tutoring hours in an attempt to graduate with some money in her pocket. "How about you? Your classes going okay?" Cassie knew he had been swamped lately with his life at University. She trailed her hands down his arms.
She pulled at the arm of his sweater, sighing a little. "You need to change before we start walking back," she murmured. She had planned for their together time at the start, and then she would wiggle the conversation about Aten. "I got my roommates to clear out for the day. but I would still like you presentable once we get back." She batted her lashes a little.

"Yaaah, yah! I apologized! ... I may have also in my stupidity said -- !" his face lit up to reinact the scenario for her, using his over-exaggerated happy voice. "Welp, this was fun! We should really do it again some time!" he let his features relax for a moment, blinked, then laughed, amused at his own self. And then I ran off! I had a far more interesting lady I was just dying to see. I couldn't keep her waiting. That would be so rude of me." Smolder puffed up a little. She was right, though. He did need to change. And he decided now that she was here he could just do it in public. Luckily his pants were sullied, so if he could just remove his shirt ... Smolder turned away from Cassie and the crowd to face the building and set his heft bag down on the ground, letting it land with a bit of a thunk. He had packed for his weekend trip like a girl, having brought way too many things with him that he wasn't really going to need. "I'm glad things have been going well for you! Soon enough you'll be off to university too, and then we can really start our adult lives!" he almost cooed at this, then continued on. "I'm still trying to decide on my major." The fallen huffed as he unzipped his bag and pulled out a black and red long sleeved shirt, setting it on top of his bag before yanking off his mucked up sweater and tossing it in the trash can a few feet away from them. It may have been one of his favourites, but there was no saving it from that mess. It was never hard for him to let go of worldly possessions like that, for some reason. "I'm thinking maybe business? But I don't actually know. Business seems so boring. If I take business I feel like I'm be destined to become one of those tacky carriage salesman with the floaty-wiggly bob man things with the flashy adverts. Not exactly my jam." He slipped in to his new shirt, making sure the longer pieces of his hear weren't stuffed in to the collar of his turtle neck. "Ta-daaa~!" The fallen whipped around, flaring his wings out and did a little dance-walk for Cassie to show himself off to her. "All clean! Now ... !" he scooped her in to his arms. "What's this I hear about the roomies being gone? I like the sounds of that!" The fallen almost purred at the very idea of some real alone time with his girl.

"She'll get over herself," Cassie practically purred, easily charmed by Smolder's antics. "It was a perfect sendoff." She watched as he puttered about, and as she realized what he was doing, she spread out a pink wing to shield him slightly from the crowd.
"Being flashy and attention-seeking isn't your thing?" the Fallen cooed a bit baffled, tracing her lower lip with a finger. "The rest I can't see you doing but that part..." she trailed off, a content smile on her face. Cassie was so enthusiastic to graduate. Even if they wouldn't be going to the same Universities, the freedoms an adult life allowed would make them so much easier. The thought reminded her that she couldn't forget about Aten, and she strengthened her resolve against Smolder's charms otherwise she was totally going to get off track. "I can't wait for the adult life either," the pink hair girl added on, sighing a little to herself. She could practically taste it.
She lifted her head as Smolder turned, bringing down her wings. Cassie gave a full bellied laugh, nodding a little as the male pulled her close. "All to ourselves," she echoed in confirmation, pressing a smile against his covered collarbone. "I have a condition though." She pulled away as well as could without leaving his embrace. "We can do whatever you want but afterwards we get to have a conversation about something of my choosing." She plucked a stray thread from his new sweater, eyes still intensely focused on her boyfriend's face.

Smolder swayed with her gently in his arms before pecking the tip of her nose, offering a sheepish little grin. "Well, I do like attention. S'pecially yers, but. We both know the kind of attention I tend to attract is the negative sort. Knowing me and my luck my entire flashy set would fall apart before mid production!" Smolder chuckled softly. He was listening with intrigue as Cassie touched and purred at him, drinking in the image of her in his arms ... and then the ideas of what he could do with her over the weekend made him grin all the more. "Babe." He said swiftly. "I'll do anything you'd like. Any condition, I'm all for it. Unless you'd rather get the talking out of the way?" Smolder gave her rump a teasing squeeze and swiftly smooched her lips before stepping back. "Shall we head to your dorm, then?" he asked, scooping up his bag again.

Cassie had been more than happy to head back with Smolder, content to hang from his arm as they headed towards the Academy. Truthfully she wanted her time with Smolder first, only because if the conversation with Aten went well, immediately turning around to monopolize her boyfriend wouldn't exactly be the polite or encouraging thing. So, alone time it was first.
As they enjoyed the better part of three hours, Cassie slowly began to transition into the mindset she needed to get past their conversation. She wasn't sure what that mindset entailed, but she tried to play it cool as her nerves began to build. Oh. They were like butterflies really. "I think it's getting to be my turn," she murmured, yawning a little in contentment as she pressed her face against Smolder's shoulder. Slowly she dragged herself away from him, pausing in her mirror to finger comb her hair down.
"It requires a little field trip though," the Fallen directed, moving to pull her shoes back on with lethargic limbs. She smiled lazily. "Come on handsome, it's not far." Cassie had let Aten know Smolder was coming into town today, and she had promised they would be by. She just hadn't exactly set a time, and she hoped she hadn't worried him down to nothing in anticipation. If so she was going to feel guilty because she had just spent the last while rather enjoying herself at Aten's patient expense. It helped that he at least lived in the same dorm so the trip truly wasn't that far.

Smolder was one invigorated by such things, lounging quite blissfully next to Cassie as she got to her feet, watching her with a rather rascally expression. He was quite pleased, and while he wasn't worn out, he had thoroughly enjoyed himself. His eyes ran over the curve of her body, lingering with admiration before she made mention of it being her turn. "Hah! I think you had your turn plenty, love~!" Smolder cooed pleasantly at her. When she mentioned a field trip, it dawned on him that she meant her little catch from earlier. That conversation she wanted to have ... why did a conversation require a field trip? Now that seemed rather odd. But he had no right to complain after the shenanigans they just pulled together, and so up he got, pulling his pants back on and zipping up. "Lead the way, m'lady!" he teased, hair still mussed, and rather unashamed of the fact, ready to follow her to any location her heart desired after such a euphoric romp.

She could only scoff as she waited, reaching for his hand as he finally neared. She gave it a solid squeeze, keeping her fear to herself that something about this would totally backfire. Innocently as to not let on her jumbled thoughts, Cassie leaned up on her toes to give Smolder one last kiss before pulling him out of her room and towards the stairwell for Aten's. She knew her boyfriend wasn't dumb though and the Fallen figured it wouldn't take much for him to realize where they were going.
"Aten," she called brightly as they reached his door, knocking twice loudly before letting herself in as she usually did. A warm smile had settled onto her face and she released Smolder's hand in order to give a little tah-dah motion. "Look who I found. Apparently he made it with only... minimal mishap." Cassie shook her head a little as she recalled the story, fluffing up her bangs with the back of her hand.
A bit sheepishly, she directed her gaze towards Aten. "I got... distracted before I could broach the subject," she warned a bit quietly, figuring it was better to warn him and leave Smolder briefly into the dark than to walk into this conversation the completely wrong way.

Aten's heart nearly leapt from his chest as he heard the double knock at the door. The tiger striped male looked up as Cassie entered the room, followed by Smolder who looked rather disheveled. Aten could only begin to imagine the reunion. Oddly, after his talk with Cassie, he didn't mind so much anymore. "Hello. Smolder. Cassie." Aten stood to his feet, gesturing for the two to come deeper in to his room so he could shut the door. Smolder had known where he was going, and looked a tad uneasy about it. He hadn't exactly filled Cassie in on the whole Aten and Smolder fiasco. He didn't feel like it was his place to really let her know what had happened. It needed to be Aten who spoke up, if he ever chose to. Things needed to be done on his terms so he could heal. Had he healed? The Imp certainly looked well enough, all things considered. It had been quite some time since they had seen one another, and despite all that had happened, Smolder was very happy to see him. And the little thrills residually ebbing through his body, thanks to Cassie, certainly made him feel a lot more lax than he probably would have if they didn't just share the past three hours together in such pure bliss. "Hello, Aten!" Smolder beamed. You're looking ... all grown up!" he was never good with giving compliments when it was towards guys. Well. he wasn't with girls either. But he was at least a little bit better at offering praise to women. Aten gave a small, courteous bow of his head. He was the tallest of the three now. He had grown since Smolder had last seen him. It was an odd sensation to now be towering over someone he had once considered an idol. "That's quite alright, Cassie. We can certainly bring it up now ... "Smolder glanced between the two of them curiously. Bring what up? He was getting a little worried now.

Cassie hummed a little to herself, just a tickle in her throat as she watched the two of them. Smolder was ever so clearly still very confused, but it pleased her to see Aten rather collected. Drifting back towards her boyfriend, she pressed a hand to the small of Smolder's back. "I told you Aten and I had been hanging out a lot recently," she reminded with a smile to set the basis.
"We had a conversation about the dynamics between the three of us," Cassie ventured in a softer, even tone as she rested her head against his shoulder, leaning the slightest. "So you can say I'm up to speed." She looked up to the Fallen's face, her own still bright and encouraging. "No use in dragging this out so," she sighed, pulling down her dress with her free hand. "Breathe and don't feel pressured."
She stepped forward and turned, taking a few steps backwards so she was between the pair. Cassie fidgeted, pulling her sweater a little bit tighter to her body. Suddenly she felt silly asking this while she still had Smolder's eager hickies exposed. "I know we've never talked about any of this before," Cassie continued to venture, trying to find that will she had built up before. "But what would you say about expanding our flock, Smolder?" She tilted her head the slightest. "Like, by adding another into our relationship?"
Cassie kept her gaze on Smolder for a heartbeat before glancing towards Aten, hoping he had something to back her up. Maybe they should have thought this out more. Her and Aten were on a totally different foot than Smolder and Aten - this was just going to be the disaster she feared, wasn't it?

Aten stood up straight, letting Cassie start the conversation, ready to follow her lead. But as Cassie finished and Aten opened his mouth to speak, Smolder interrupted his thought, chuckling softly. "Uhm, actually, now that you bring that up. I may have done something ... a bit. Impulsive?" Smolder grinned, though it was clearly a nervous, petrified one. "But I'm glad to hear you say you were thinking about expanding our flock ... and you're right. We ... haven't. Exactly. Talked about this really? So it may seem sudden. But I." Smolder took a deep breath. "MayhavepartiallyimbuedasoulstoneandhaveachildthatIwannaraisewithyouCOUGH."Smolder cleared his throat, coughing in to his fist. Aten blinked lucidly. "A child ... ?" he asked calmly, looking over to Cassie, eyes a little widened in shock. He suddenly cared far less about himself and the prospect of a triad with the two before him, and far more with Cassie's feelings about suddenly having a child dropped on her. "Yes ... and. He's here -- at the nursery with a caretaker while I visit. It's a part of the reason I wanted to come down and see you both. I wanted to officially introduce him to you both." Smolder paused then, clasping Cassie's hands tightly and looking deep in to her eyes, praying to the Nine she wouldn't be furious with him. And then he glanced to Aten. "But I suppose," he started softly. "We might as well talk about ... us first, then, shouldn't we?" Smolder had gotten the message. Panda Moor (( the next one when we're ready should be the three of them all meeting Rhys together for the first time! yum_puddi ))

Cassie had almost immediately seemed apprehensive, seeing the hesitation upon Smolder's features. Wherein her heart had been prepared to wilt because the triad idea went sideways, she suddenly felt a different stab. Wait, had Smolder found someone at University? She had been so good with Aten, nearly immediately after he confessed she put distance between them to make sure nothing happened without her boyfriend's consent. "Impulsive," she echoed, and a smart man would easily have heard the threat looming in her tone.
Hearing Aten's echo had only solidified the fact she hadn't heard wrong. Her eyes narrowed the slightest, arms going limp at her sides until Smolder scooped her hands up. "Smolder," Cassie grunted, far from her usual, sweet voice. Suddenly her wings flared, just enough she narrowly missed hitting Aten off to the side. What the hell, she deadpanned internally, the weight of his words sinking in. "I -" she growled frustrated, pulling her hands away to rub at her forehead. "I don't even know where to start with you."
Closing her eyes, she continued to work at the knot between her eyebrows. "Yes, please," she exhaled hotly, her blue eyes rather close to furious as she finally opened them again. "Talk with Aten first." Her words were pointed but sincere. She needed a moment to decompress because really? "I'm just... amazed the last few hours was probably apart of your schmoozing to make up for this." She groaned, wings snapping tight against her back. It was supposed to be part of her schmoozing, not that she didn't love her boyfriend, but geezus. Aten was supposed to be the ripple, not Smolder having a child. Cassie closed her mouth, knowing it was for the better she took a moment to settle down.
