Dancing - Lys loves to dance and has videotapes taken of her in diapers doing so. But she had just turned 10 when she started taking dance lessons as a granted birthday wish at a local studio and fell in love with attending them. She moved to Destiny City when she was 14 and was thrilled that there was an associated dance studio there to the one she had been attending before her move. Thus, she continued attending dance lessons at the associated dance studio. And she continues to revel in dancing on and off the studio dance floor.
Singing - She hadn't wanted to move initially but was glad that she received invitations to sing karaoke with Destiny City schoolmates soon after her arrival and it became a regular activity she looks forward to with her friends. She liked singing as a hobby growing up but she grew to love it after her move to Destiny City and regular karaoke sessions with friends piled up to more than a handful that she soon lost count. Thus, she is now almost always up for singing anytime, anywhere, especially with the company of fellow singers.
Virtues:
Adaptable -- Regardless of whether or not she initiated the processes of change she finds herself in, Lys strives to get herself up to speed with her modified state of being or surroundings so she can function with her usual level of comfort as soon as she can with any alterations that have taken place.
Resourceful -- Lys endeavors not to rely on certain brands of items. Also, if she is lacking any materials, she is of the mind to tap into her creative and recycling ways and figure out how she might go about finding a means for a substitute to fulfill a purpose or task she has in mind. For example, she saves the paper wrapping that goes with certain batches of toilet paper her family buys more often than not and if it is quicker to access a piece from the stash to serve as a wipe for a small sudden spill, she carries out this idea.
Flaws:
Indecisive -- When making decisions of various sizes, it isn't a snap for Lys to choose a course of action a notable amount of the time she has opportunities to make choices for herself. And the bigger the decision is to make, the longer it takes for her to weigh her options. She often finds herself caught between which color her outfit would be or if she should buy this fruit or that or a mix. In knowing this nature of hers, one crossroads she is going through as a high school student is whether she will move out or live with family after her high school graduation. She has so far annoyed her fair share of witnesses with this slow-going trait of hers.
Self-sacrificing -- Lys is attune to how hard up her family is in terms of finances and drama. And though she does get frustrated and doesn't always understand what's going on, one way she tries to be of help is to limit what she asks for and aim to be a good eldest sibling to her two brothers. For instance, she would rather have stretched out and slept as well but it was only possible for one of them and so her lap accommodated her little brother's feet while her mother's lap was her little brother's pillow for the duration of their travel by plane. On another occasion, rather than succumb to wanting to join her younger brothers at every chance to ask to be bought something on a shopping trip, she would remind herself that she is the eldest and refrain from voicing her wishes from time to time. And another example is that during the time in which her elders were struggling about paying bills after moving to Destiny City, she contributed the gifts of money she had been saving up and accumulated for several years from her grandfather to the expenses. However, it is not uncommon for her periods of selflessness to go unnoticed and at times when observed, she has received feedback of such actions of hers being excessive.
