It had been a normal night for the hybrid stallion, most of it was spent hearing Zorion gush about his glided life. Lunellis did find it touching the small stallion finally found that one who protected him above all else. It was one less ward for Valerius to worry about at least. Lunellis had a silent chuckle at that...the poor icy male was usually sick with worry over the rest of the herd. He let his mind wander in his world of shadow and darkness he let the sounds shape things. Hearing the flutter of the small insects around Zori's mane, the click of the cyreni's antlers as he moved them. The sound of Valerius' wings as they glide along his icy spines. Jetta off in her little stream chittering away with Zori, the sounds of the soft splashing of her tail alerting him to her bodies length. Oberon's small light hoof steps letting him know that the mini stallion was nearby. Trent's hearty laugh at something Valerius seemed to whine over. Sujieko's feathers rustling next to him as the equally calm stallion overlooked the others. All these sounds were his little...family.
Lunellis felt something crawl up his spine, tickling his wings the male flickered them as the thought invaded his peace. As much as he adored this family. There was something he felt was off about his position there...something was...lacking. When he stood he noted that most of the family was startled...some were on alert while others seemed to expect it. He smiled...or at least he thought he was. "I'm going off for a walk...don't worry about me alright everyone?"
They knew he was fine, he knew these woods. Taught a few of them hidden paths that he knew about. As the stallion walked away he waited till he knew he was behind a large tree and far from sight. Here among the scents he knew well. The hidden dangers lurking within the seemingly docile flowers. The potent scent of the calm of the trees. Looking up with his sightless eyes the male took a deep breath. Then paused...took another deep breath and tilted his head. Okay...that was new...he started to walk silently. Softly scraping the front of his hoof before letting it fall. That was a tea infused scent...odd around here. Lunellis blinked hearing a female's purred voice. Newcomer to the forest...they certainly didn't know their flowers. He felt a twig next to a hoof and snapped it with purpose.
"I'm terribly sorry...but if that flower has white petals you may want to boil it for several minutes. There's a light layer of toxin on its petals. That's what gives it a velvety texture. While...initially harmless if you nuzzle them. Ingesting would result in a mild stomach ache with the inability to really eat a solid meal for a few days." he walked further into view. "Boiling them strips them of the toxin, while softening them for a nice tea. I've made them once or twice, when the toxin is stripped the tea itself is rather good for mild stomach aches. Its also safe for foals and growing young..."
He then made his way to stand in the warmth of the starlight. Mentally sighing in relief. "So...scenting you. Your new to the forest...my name is Lunellis Starfall...I suppose: Welcome. Is in order. What brings you here?"
