
And then she discovered not just sight but motion as well. She had limbs yet the names of her extremities, her entirety, had yet to register in her mind. She is a B'alam. She is one with wings, wings that are adorned with feathers that at present were quietly fluttering in a light breeze that swirled around her. Soon, certainly in due time, she would learn all this and more, about her existence as a member of the Wind Tribe and this place that is home, which floats over the rest of the world below. Perhaps soon was far sooner than soon as well.
A somewhat heavy feeling came upon her but it was overtaken by energy as she won over gravity and gradually lifted her body up with her front paws braced against the solid surface beneath her. She deemed it a wondrous feeling that her movements seemed well connected and smooth, full of strength. And yet, there was an ache in her belly that she could not ignore.
