Powers caused by radioactivity? Spiders Hulk dude SCIENCE!? Uh, there's also X-men type of stuff And what else...aliens? Robot/cyborgs Destructo ray? Huge bomb in the center of the planet?
What about something like Ansatsu Kyoushitsu if you've read it, where someone's been experimented on so much that they will blow up unless stopped/killed on a specific date (last day of the ball)?
so powers, i think that could be caused by anything within reason. so like aliens, mutants, science, robots, whatever. speaking of more ideas, i saw that you wanted to be a villain, and i was reading this thing where the hero and the villain are like super close, and are just like "you know what'll really annoy him? all his electronic devices playing nothing but (insert annoying music here)". and i thought that would be awesome cause i love having some silliness.
What if the villain is the one going to blow up and destroy the world? And hero has to be like "to kill or not to kill, that is the question". So in the end guests have to band up with hero to murder the villain so he doesn't explode, or guests have to go against both the hero and villain so the AU doesn't get destroyed.
Annual Ball 2k16 Main Plot
The conditions were perfect for the experiment. Every variable had been accounted for; every ritual, prepared. Quynn - self proclaimed royal scientist of the Viatori, presumably the people of his homeworld - had been practically humming with excitement. I’ll admit, the enthusiasm was contagious.
Raising my head as I finished gathering the required energy for my spells, my eyes were drawn to the graceful individual sweeping ethereally across the testing grounds, a living testament to my theories. This interdimensional interloper claimed to have done what had eluded me for many years now. They had come to me with outlandish promises of whole new worlds - universes even - and try as I might to remain incredulous, here we were, the experiment all but ready to begin.
It hadn’t taken long for the Viatori traveller to make waves in Gaia. Word spread quickly about the bronze-skinned stranger with eyes as black as void and a personality of equal gravitational pull, who claimed to have come from worlds unknown, trying to reach places unseen. They had charmed their way into many a social circle with exotic tales of their travels, and trinkets and baubles the likes of which would never be seen again in this world… all just to meet with me, a mage specialising in teleportation magic. Though they spoke of wanting to collaborate for the greater good of Gaia… even now, I couldn’t help but feel they were hiding something. I’d seen the look in their eyes, fleeting but real. Desperation.
The other mages in my field were wary of this newcomer, for indeed this was not the first time we had encountered strange and unknown entities claiming to herald from places unknown. Sadly as of yet, the claimants had been nothing more than snake oil merchants with tales of whimsy… but if true, this traveller could single-handedly alter the lives of Gaians everywhere. Needless to say, we were cautiously optimistic.
They requested little in return for sharing their knowledge. Merely some assistance in opening one of their so called ‘rifts’. Naturally I, and a few others, leapt at the chance to be the ones to help create history. Had we known what kind of history we were about to make however, perhaps we may not have been so eager.
Then again, perhaps we would have. The thirst for knowledge is its own kind of desperation.
We thought we had planned everything down to a meticulous degree... but there was one variable we had never accounted for. Ley lines. The magic channels crisscrossing the globe that modern spell-casting had all but ignored in the way one might consider a mountain relevant to marine biology.
We began our efforts to open a rift, unaware that our chosen location was at the nexus of multiple ley lines. We had not anticipated what followed. One rift turned into many, then multiplied twofold, and twofold again… All over the globe, rifts opened up along the ley lines in quick succession. Everything had gone terribly, terribly wrong. The rifts had grown too large in size and number to contain, and I could only watch in horror as Gaians were sucked into the rifts, perhaps never to be seen again. However I could only watch for so long before I too felt the pull of the void.
I remember the suffocating panic. I remember trying to run, clinging to whatever I could. I remember little else.
---
I awoke… here. Wherever that is.
It is bittersweet, to see first hand the results of years of academic theories come to life, only to be sucked into another dimension where those theories mean nothing.
Only now am I beginning to fully piece together what has occurred, how many Gaians we may have lost to worlds I may never know.
I can only hope that their journey has been as safe as mine.
I can only hope that, wherever they are, they find their way back home.
I know not where the traveller is now, nor do I particularly care. For now, I must focus my efforts on returning home - if I can at all.
I suspect I must hurry, I am plagued by a deep sense of unease about this world…

Right, what about some mysterious super villain has threatened to destroy the entire world with his awesome superpower and all the heros and villains have to team up to defeat this supervillain.
In regard to the WIP main plot, I think the traveller could give some useful tips and fight alongside the heros/villains and guests to fight the big baddie.
Also, the heros and villains could have a rivarly going on where the guests would have to choose between being a hero or a villain until the last or second to last day where they finally get their s**t together and fight against a common enemy.
On the last day also we could all go to the prison where apparently there is going to be the last stand and the untied army could defend against the enforcer dudes.
How about infighting between a family or two? (that way the guests can choose sides) And all of this fighting is started & manipulated by a larger key player (villain, anti-hero), who's decided on playing "god"

Now that I've been watching Agents of Shield, I totally get this thread reference. xD
Anyways, I was looking over what the main plot has so far, and we're gonna be opening the rift probably some point on Day 2.
I'd say we have one big villain who's responsible for opening the rift, and while it totally helps the Traveler out, it's gonna totally screw over our city (we should totes have a city).
So maybe the days would look something like... (mini-games included cause i love having mini-games related to the plot) ((also names are totally placeholders and i'm just gonna say it's the three of us...we can use mules if needed)
Characters
Traveler: Part of Main Plot, not us Major Villain: One of the hosts, a scientifc type with no real powers except being a total genius Superhero: One of the hosts, probably has some sort of rift power, or at least some sort or power that can be manipulated into opening rifts Super Spy: One of the co-hosts/mules, Agents of Shield type deal with badass fighting/espionage skills. bros with Superhero Evil Underling: One of the co-hosts/mules, might have some powers, might not. totally in league with Major Villain. Misc. Heroes: Guests! Some are probably gonna be spies, some are gonna be supers. Misc. Bad Guys: Guests! Some are gonna have powers, some aren't. Citizens: Cause some guests won't want to pick a side.
Day One: Everything is awesome. Our heroes are doing hero stuff like saving cats stuck in trees. But something's lurking in the shadows...and that something is Major Villain! Major Villain is plotting to create some sort of device that will amplify their powers causing what they believe to be a tear in the fabric of reality! xxxxxmini-game: Think-Tank (or better name) xxxxxxxxxxThis will be some sort of art and/or writing contest. Participants will help Major Villain create their machine by offering up their designs.
Day Two: Major Villain has a major breakthrough in their Break Reality Machine. Traveler appears in the city, attempts to ask for help from Superhero, but Superhero doesn't trust them. Evil Underling overhears conversation, decides to hook Traveler up with Major Villain. Traveler helps Major Villain with the device. Super Spy witnesses this and tells Superhero. Heroes go confront them, Major Villain tricks the heroes in using their powers to power their device. Traveler escapes, hell breaks lose.
Day Three: Possible crossover with Prison Room? A prisoner or two breaks through the rift and into our world. They cause some minor damage before being convinced to go back to their world.
Some Evil Being comes through the rift. Major Villain is able to strike some sort of deal with it. The deal is only temporary. Evil Being turns on Major Villain. Major Villain, along with Evil Underling flee to Heroes to ask for help.
Day Four: A common enemy unites everyone. Superhero leads a team to attack the Evil Being while Major Villain leads a team to close up the rift. Eventually they push the Evil Being back through the rift and seal it off. xxxxxmini-game: some sort of rng to attack the Evil Being

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Instead of the machine being something to amplify the villain's powers, why not make it a machine to create a break in reality where villain's motive is to find a strong being to partner up with a betray when all goals have been accomplished?
Also for the heros, perhaps they also are trying to gather data about other realms and dimensions in secret, and messing with Superhero's powers for better weapons? So when machine and powers go combine, BOOOOOM!
All mostly for mini-game stuff: What if there's a 'map' of the city and rift tears up a part of the city every day after the big machine thing is activated? The main plot stuff would happen in hero/villain headquarters, but there could be crucial machines and info stuff in each part of the city we could use for rng games before and after machine is created.
So like for villain to create the machine, he'll need to enlist the help of gullible guests to collect info for prizes, and heros can enlist help of guests to find info about dimensional rift info and stuff about the big baddie and it's weaknesses. (B/C of course the government is keeping some stuff top secret etc, etc lmao)
'Map could be divided into 4 major parts with one being machinery, two holding the hero and villain headquarters, and one being the database?
And twisting tea's idea, what if the hero's side was divided into two factions with who should become the next leader of the heros (b/c old leader is old), and would get their s**t together during prison crossover?
So hero friend and superhero are good friends and don't want fighting but other npc heros be liek nu Superhero should be leader nu hero friend should be header etc etc?

Right right, so I was thinking, as many of the other rooms are rather...dark, superheros and villains room should be a bit more lighthearted to keep things balanced.
Here's a thing:
City A, a wondrous place to live in, populated by species of all shapes and sizes with chaos found around every corner. For several decades, City A has been the leading area for best food, environment, and safety. As the location of the Hero Base, the city is overflowing with adored heros who protect the city from all who'd wish to do it harm. Their only reason of existence being to upkeep the safety of the citizens, heros work tirelessly to allow the people to go to bed at night, knowing they're safe in their beds.
However, all is not always what it seems.
In the deep, dark areas of the city, dwell the supervillains, folks consumed by their ambition, willing to do almost anything to attain their goal even if it means trampling over others in the process. Again and again have villains risen from the nooks and crannies the government does not dare mention, and again and again have they plotted to destroy the world, take over the city, and steal lolipops from babies. Fortunately, they have had their dreams shattered by do-gooders employed by the government.
Emerging from a region where light does not reach, a new villain plots a most sinister plot. Her goal: To build a machine to break reality as we know it, and to gain ultimate power!
Will the heros be able to team up and foil the plans of the villain in time, or will the villain succeed in her nefarious schemes to further her own ambitions?!
Hi, hi this is an advertisement for a cheesy ad about a generic superhero movie plz don't shoot me lmao.

Hey guys, it's May 1st and room plots are due.
Before I ask you to post your finalised version in the room plot thread, I need to double check when you have planned for Quynn to enter your room. There was a slight reshuffling of the order to help make it fit better for everyone so the room order is as follows:
First Day: Water Room Fallout Room
Second Day: Superhero Room Asteroid Room
Last Day: Prison Room
I think you guys are still in the same position you were as before so this shouldn't have any effect, but I just wanted to let you know just in case.
If that's all fine, can I get you to post your finalised room plot here ASAP pls and thank.
