Today was the day - the last day to go to the beach this year. Being October, the weather was sure to be devastating to the water for the rest of the year. Drew, desperately wanted to find his sister, but his father encouraged him to take a day off and have some fun once and a while- he was still a kid, and if he didn't.. Well he would use himself up finding Dria, and when he did find Dria, he would be useless to help her back. This sounded logical to Drew, so now he was packing his beach bag to go to the beach. His friend Deme, he believed was busy studying for college exams. So he was hoping to make some new friends there.

Despite how often Benji loved to complain about his family, there WERE times when he was at peace with them. Today was one of these days. The sky was so so blue, the water was so so so glittering, and the sand was so so so warm. Although his brother and sister immediately ran to the water, Benji refused to follow them right away. No, he had his grandama to tend to. He first set up the umbrella and blankets for her, then pulled out her electric wheelchair, helping her in and then gently leading her down to waterside. Sure, he was a bit of an angry little s**t all the time, but grandma didn't need to see that. She already had to deal with having to see his eye in such a terrible state, he really.. Really didn't want to worry her any more.
Once she was settled in, and the parental units had settled down with her, Benji bothered to kick off his own shoes and head to the water. He wasn't looking to talk or encounter anyone, so on his face was his ever-present scowl. But then.. Grandma waved from the shore and he couldn't help but relax his face and smile back. Fine. He wouldn't be pissy, he would try to have fun.

There was nothing Oceanne hated more than Fall. Sure the leaves turned beautiful shades of red and orange, but autumn was the bringer of Winter and snow just really sucked. It just so happened that today was her last day of work. As a life guard, when the beach was closed there was no work for her to be done throughout fall and winter. Oceanne hated that; she heavily disliked staying inside during the colder months of the year and feeling confined. It also meant she had to go job searching once more and she wasn`t looking forward to that. Thankfully, the busy Christmas season was coming.
While it was a warmer day, almost like summer, Oceanne had still decided to wear her brilliant red life guard sweater over the matching red swimsuit. It was over sized so that it was easier to remove if she needed to run to the water to save someone. From the looks of it, not many had come to the beach but there were still a few people and one could never be careful enough which was why she was here. Oceanne watched a young guy helping his grandmother and smiled. That was sweet of him.
Though she didn’t keep her eyes on them very long, she needed to be focused on the water.

Elysha took a deep breath in and then released said breath slowly. She was thankful for this chance at a change of pace from her usual day to day agenda, as she was with other such chances to have a break from the routine as this. It was calming to be here to take in and delight in the scenic peace and soothing sounds the beach presented as waves met and retreated from the sandy shoreline. At the moment her vision was focused on a bird gliding in the breeze, it did not look like a seagull so she reckoned that is not the type of bird it is. Regardless of what it is exactly, following the bird's easy motions as they appeared to her gave her an uplifting feeling as though some invisible weights pressing on each of her shoulders were being eased off for a while and she found herself having both arms up for having indulged herself in a stretch she had not noticed until her arms were beginning to return to her sides. And then perhaps it was the red of the attire of another beach goer that drew Elysha's gaze to dart in the other's direction, red is a favorite color of hers after all. Upon it seeming like perhaps they made eye contact, Elysha felt awkward at possibly just looking away and so she politely gave a smile and wave in greeting to the girl clad in red. "Hello," she said brightly in accompaniment with the rest of her nonverbal address.

Etamin walked onto the beach, wearing his swimming trunks; the ones with gold feathers on a black ground. He, a 14-year-old, saw a bunch of people, including the lady lifeguard in red, a young boy in yellow, and another lady stretching. This was to be a wonderful day.

The beach was so.. So boring when you didn't have anyone to hang with. His sister already started flirting with a bunch of guys playing volleyball off to one side, and his little brother was already in the works of burying another kid deep, deep in the sand. And here he was, Alone.
That was, until a kid with a weird feather butt trunk peace met his gaze. As hard as he might, Chara could not avoid eyecontact, and he tried to force his scowl into a more friendly smile. It must have been frightening.
"Hey man.. Uh.. What's up?"

Oceanne was used to people looking at her; she was a life guard after all and expected people to turn to her when they had a problem. So when she spotted a girl smiling and waving at her that’s what she expected, someone who might need something from her so Oceanne moved towards her.
“Hi, need anything?” She glanced around once, making sure everything was in order before turning her attention back on the girl. She still would glance at the water once in a while to make sure no one was drowning or anything. The beach goers at this time of the year were tamer than those midsummer.

One of the other beach goers couldn't stop looking at Drew's trunks -that's right -the SHAME! These the messed up shorts. Dad had had them custom made for him for Christmas, per his instructions (by some strange connection, they had his homeworld's logo on them, but that was before he was awakened.) However the feathers were supposed to on the sides, NOT ON THE BUTT! How embarrassing, and worst, he put THEM instead of the corrected ones. He blushed, as a sinister look crossed the guy's face and he gave a greeting. "Hello, uh, hi.."

Something skittering over her foot pulled her vision away in the next beat of a moment. She thought that it was likely just the sand moving over her feet and slippers though she had looked to briefly check and found it was a tiny crab she realized she recognized from appearance. She was quick to scoop up the crab and stand back up. Was she thinking and remembering correctly that the crab in her memory and this crab are both tiny hermit crabs? She wasn't sure if she was thinking of the correct name, but this crab looked to be the same kind she saw at the island country she studied and resided in before moving here to Destiny City. And when she looked around again and saw the girl in red moving in her direction she saw the word lifeguard on her clothes. And this had Elysha's mind move to thinking that she may have only been mistaken that they had made eye contact earlier. Perhaps the lifeguard had seen someone or something urgent past her and now Elysha was beginning to become flustered with panic about how to proceed next with the considerations zooming through her mind. Thankfully, she had not dropped the crab despite her momentarily forgetting about the critter in her cupped hands. She had not pulled her gaze away from the nearing lifeguard as she tried to move out of the way and then at the last second avoided bumping into someone to instead bump into someone else wearing swim trunks with a feathery design. "Oh, I-I'm sorry," Elysha said to all three individuals as at this point she realized the lifeguard was not headed past her but had been approaching and has now approached her likely thinking she waved for assistance. "I-I, um, wanted to say hello, but then thought I might have actually been in your way and that you were then headed there. I'm sorry for bumping into you and interrupting your conversation and I hope I'm not interrupting your lifeguard duties," she spoke to the three of them in a nervous and apologetic frenzy. "Oh," she remembered the crab in her hands next, "I also picked up this tiny crab that was crawling over my foot b-before moving around." She opened her palms further as though holding a book. "Are you okay, too," she quickly checked on the crab she was relieved to see moving across one of her palms and into the palm of her other hand and then looked up to the three individuals she had somehow roped into her company. "I-I'm glad I didn't crush the crab and my apologies. I'm so so sorry to you all because of my being so scatterbrained."

Now wasn't this the most awkward thing that Benji had ever been in. Jesus, maybe he should have just hung out with his grandma instead of trying to be social. He honestly hated most people, and this kid near him seemed to have no balls already. Granted, that was just first impressions. and NOW this girl had come over and bumped into them and his fake little smile now fell into a scowl.
"I'm fine. Just watch were you're going." He didn't want to deal with this awkwardness, and instead headed right into the water, not caring if it was cold as balls. He just had to go. The sea was far less involved with people than standing on the beach.

What an odd bunch. Oceanne first stared at the guy with the… Interesting? Special? Feathered?! Trunks and her brow rose. What in the world. Still frowning slightly she turned to the other guy who had just up and left to go into the water before turning back to the girl. What an odd bunch.
“I thought you might need something that’s why I came over,” Oceanne said slowly. “You’re not interrupting anything; it’s always nice to have some company especially on a day like this.” She gave one nod. “No need to apologize.” Turning to the guy with the odd trunks she said. “I saw you fall before, all good here?”

Drew's face burned bright red. "Actually it was just a little stumble. I'm more concerned about my trunks - they were custom designed for a Christmas Present last year - but the feather, or quill design was meant to be on the sides, not... not where they are now." He grimaced. "We got a corrected pair, but for some reason we still have these lying around and I wasn't thinking when I put them on." Red faced, he forced the words out. "How embarrassing." He explained as a gentle wave passed over his feet.

"I-I hope you have a good rest of your day," Elysha fumbled with her reply apologetically to the individual that had then hurried toward the water. And to the two individuals in her company at present she went on to say, "I-I promise to be more careful." Then in remembering again that there was still a tiny crab in her hands, her eyes darted to her upturned palms and confirmed that the critter had indeed not fallen. And still in her nervousness, Elysha now felt at a loss for further words and had begun inwardly wondering what next actions to take with regards to the little creature that seemed more and more intent on leaving her hands.

Benji didn't even know what to say to this group of rambling awkward kids. Seriously, just what the heck was going on?
Shorts? Why was the guy so worried about his shorts? What the hell... Custom made.. Why in the world was custom made swim trunks even a thing?!
His eye began to twitch more and more, his face twisting into a grimace.
Painful... The interactions between him and all the others just felt so Painful.. So forced, so.. So Irritating! He just had to escape. Damn these people.. Damn them for ruining his glorious beach day, even though he had only been here for maybe ten minutes at the most.
"Yeah, okay, whatever." He didn't even bother to wait and see if his actions were acknowledge, he just ran straight into the water and dove behind the waves. Maybe if he were lucky, the waves would carry him away from these people.
Sailor Hawk I think I'll call this an exit for Benji.

Drew watched the grumpy kid go. "Well," He said, still embarrassed about his ridiculously made trunks, "It was nice to meet the two of you," referring to the two women, and wondering if he had seen any of them before. "I think I will go take a swim as well. See you later." He ran to a different part of the sea and jumped in. shyanimegrl This is my exit, and I dunno if that rp even had a point, but it was fun.
