[The greenhouse] 11:25am
The greenhouse was checked, and he went about measuring the growth progress of several plants lined up alongside the wall in different box planters. Afterwards, he plucked the few vegtables that were ripe and set them in a basket. He'd put them in the Life Labs test fridge later.
[Melvin's Room] 1 p.m.
Sitting in his room, he drank some coffee and looked through a few home renovation magazines. The Ikea catalog was open beside him.
Infirmary - Duty Work] 3 p.m.
There were still plenty of injuries on a regular basis. He sorted the stock room and went to stock up a few beds, changing sheets and refilling cabinets.
[Laundry Room] 5 p.m.
Yawning, Melvin sorted his whites and colors and the finer fabrics of Jan's clothes before loading the machines. The smell of fabric softener and warm air from the dryers made the place cozy.
[Cafeteria] 5:30 p.m.
He needed something to eat before work and Jan was held up in the Infirmary. On his own for dinner, he moved through the line and picked up a carton of milk, an apple, and what was a rather gray looking pork chop. Or maybe it was chicken. He really hoped it wasn't ham.
[Life Labs - Runic Labs] 6 p.m.
Chewing a stick of Trident gum, Melvin sat at a table among the few devices set on his worklist and two on his personal to-do list for a little cash on the side.

runic labs - 6pm
He was due to drop off some of his catch from a previous dive--such was the nature of bargaining work for booze. As per usual, Dawson dried the newly carved stones off, plopped them in a bag, and made his way to the labs to find his contact.
As he passed by someone's desk, he paused out of curiosity; there were quite a few devices lying around. "Tha's, uh, runic codin', right? Hard stuff?" he asked.

3:00 pm - Infirmary Duty Work
Seeing as Scout was still a tiny baby trainee, she still didn't get tasks to perform on her own. She was still being assigned to work under intermediate trainees and full hunters at this point. She was okay with that honestly; having to do things on her own was scary and difficult. It was a lot nicer to have someone to ask questions and get help from.
"Hello sir," she mumbled, not out of shyness but out of a generally quiet disposition. "Is there anything that needs ... doing?" runic labs - 6pmThe blonde looked up over his glasses to the one talking, and back down at the device he was working on. "Yes. A lot of concentration and a lot of pressure not to make a mistake. No one wants an expensive device that doesn't work." He said, looking down again before glancing at the bag, noticing the faint blue glow of something runiced.
"Diving?" He asked, looking back up to him.

3:00 pm - Infirmary Duty WorkHe caught her out of the corner of her eye and waved her over. "We need to stock this room up since it's been used, then we need to go around and give everyone fresh dressings from injuries. I have a list. Think you can help with that or have you done any bandage changing before?"

runic labs - 6 pm
"Yeeup. Decent haul this time," he noted proudly. "Been doin' it on my downtime; gotta get stones so I can put up lanterns in the basement. Plus we got s**t fer plugs down there, so I gotta keep a handful ready just in case somethin' needs charging."
But look at him, talking like the guy didn't know exactly what they were used for. Dawson was a little too used to needing to explain.
"Outta curiosity, you think they'd let me learn some coding too? I mean, I'm in Moon..."

runic labs - 6 pm
"I think if you do enough diving and carving, they could let you do a bit of carving outside of just rocks. It's how I started." He said with a smile. "It's also a great way to runic your own things. Saves on costs too."
He looked at the other man, setting down the small burner tool he was using. "Do you enjoy it?"

3:00 pm - Infirmary Duty Work
Scout nodded (maybe one too many times). It was a short list of things to do, but Scout knew it entailed a lot of attention to detail. Infirmary work was no joke, and Scout wanted to do her best to assist.
"Very little," she admitted. There had been the small demo from Abbi, but she couldn't really count that when she couldn't remember most of it.

[Laundry Room] 5 p.m.
Horace was seriously behind on his laundry. His load was heavy (with the weight of his sin) and full of sheets, various socks, sweaters. It was a hassle carrying it up the stairs to the first floor laundry, but he never trusted the water in the basement. It ran red more often than not and gurgled unpleasantly in the rickety washing machines afforded to basement folk. The washing machines upstairs were quieter, cleaner, and there were more of them.
He whistled a tune as he walked along the hall. He was not a good whistler, funnily enough for such a good singer, and it was painfully off-tune. Sighing, he edged open the door to the laundry room and glanced around. He froze. Of all the people to see here - him? There was only one person who could have been worse. His teeth set, he swallowed.
And then he promptly turned around. Laundry could wait, after all.

[Laundry Room] 5 p.m. Melvin glanced over at the door in time to see Horace turn about. Seemed that was how their new relationship was going to go.
He went back to folding, heavy metal playing through the headphones laying on his shoulders.

runic labs - 6 pm
He looked hopeful at the prospect: something other than construction and carving wood as a hobby sounded both fun and challenging. "Yeah. S'kinda soothing," Dawson said with a nod. "You gotta concentrate n' keep this meditation state r' whatever. Really peaceful like even if it's delicate work, y'know what m'sayin'? Least, when the sea critters ain't on yer a** while you divin'," he added with a laugh.
Not that any of his trips below had been fun.
"Oh! It's Dawson, by the way." He held out a hand to shake.
