Name: Haeli Young

Nickname: Li

Age: 18

Birthday: September 19

Sign: Virgo

Gemstone: Citrine

Blood Type: A+

Fav. Food: chicken salad

Hated Food: those salad greens she encounters rarely with an overwhelming bitter taste

School: Meadowview High School

Hobbies:

Reading - Li's memories contain bits and pieces of clear recollections of points in time that she attributes to her increasing love of going along on adventures told in pages. These include being assigned book reports in elementary school, summarizing what she read in class and mysteriously even to her, then finding herself writing book reports of her own accord. Her voluntary book report writing days have passed, but still she went on to continually delve into pages of stories such as those she encountered on the bookshelves of libraries, that were recommended to her by others, and so forth. Time after time she takes a hard copy or electronic print in her hands to relieve stress, have fun, indulge her curiosity, etc etc.

Gaming - Li finds playing various kinds of games fun, from roleplaying online to visiting arcades to booting up a title she either paid for or discovered for free and more. She finds the time she takes to have a break and play a game for a number of minutes or hours a breath of fresh air that helps energize her during her days. And she continues to learn from experience that along with other aspects of life, budgeting her time spent gaming so as to juggle it with other things is easier said than done but also worthwhile to ease tension and keep sane.

Virtues:

a level-headed person -- Li looks before she leaps. This trait gives her a calm and sensible air about her. She is inclined to constantly aim at making plans as carefully as she can manage before she acts so that they make sense to her and are pulled off as efficiently as possible. For example, if she wants to get some groceries on the way home, she will consider other errands she has to run along the way and avoid going home to then go back out because she forgot to do something. She would also consider what she intends to shop for since whether or not there are items for refrigeration on her list would influence if she does or doesn't add a stop between the grocery store and home. Yet, if she does forget something, she seeks a solution as promptly as she can muster while striving not to panic or pout to the point of being too overwhelmed to get problem solving done, such as taking to consider how soon the task she'd forgotten needs to be done and if she can't postpone it then she would also consider that it could turn out to serve as added exercise in her day to go back out and accomplish it.

a tenacious being -- Failure does not keep Li down. She is not at all immune to the disappointment that comes with it, but her eyes on her goal is not easily averted from endeavoring to accomplish what she has sought out to do. This ranges from beating a high score in a game to finally understanding a math computation and so forth.

Flaws:

an over-thinker -- It totally is not uncommon for Li to overdo thinking about something, especially the more important she finds it. It tends to take her a while to remember that she does not have to fuss over every little detail and possibility with regards to the course of action she is considering. And it can help her to receive a reminder to go ahead and act with what she has thought out and work with what comes up along the way so she is not stuck at inaction.

a soft-hearted soul -- From personally wanting or thinking then acting on something to make it happen is not the entire picture for Li. She is inclined to consider inclusions to also be affected by her decisions as well. It is a familiar occurrence for her to sacrifice minor comforts easily and from her experiences so far, make more complicated sacrifices when it concerns her family. This can lead to her being repeatedly taken for granted and often times she has experienced this with her own relatives. It could have to do with the financial strains her family circle is no stranger to and that she is an eldest child with an upbringing that has strict and from time to time questionable expectations of her that include obedience and respect. Her self-sacrifice in different degrees under difficult conditions can pile up within her, stressing her out inside while she outwardly strives to keep her composure and taunting her with feelings of confused melancholy.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: They are a vibrant red in color.

Hair: Wavy black hair maintained short two inches over her shoulder, Li prefers to part her hair off-center.

Face: She has an oval-shaped face with small ears.

Skin Tone: Hers is a light cream.

Senshi: Sailor Jarnsaxa of Dice

Challenge: Dice are tricky.

Fuku Colour:

Main Color: white
Secondary Color: dark orange-yellow (such as in the fuku reference image)

Fuku: (partial CC for overall design as well as placement of fuku's main and secondary colors; also the ornaments nestled at one side of her hair as a modified part of the reference for her tiara and attached as part of her choker could be dice with each showing a roll of 4)

User Image

Attacks:

The specialty of the Jarnsaxa in terms of battle style is bringing about anticipation while watching dice roll to hold off combatants.

Sailor Scout Attack: Dice Toss
Dice Toss involves Jarnsaxa summoning a cylindrical chamber with two rolling magical dice making up the walls and keeping the opponent feeling occupied with anticipation by watching the movement of the dice. The orbit of each dice is in the opposite direction of the other. The dice are in midair while orbiting the target. With the target as the central point, the dice are sent to begin orbiting the target with a radius of 4 feet. Thus, by causing a loss of focus, the target is distracted from battle. This attack can be cast at a target up to 7 feet away and its effect last for 35 seconds. It isn't impossible for Dice Toss to be interrupted, missed, dodged, or broken out of by exiting the spell's chamber or persisting to maintain a strong will not to be distracted. Its effect can only work on the intended receiver decided on when cast. This attack is limited to 2 times a day.

Visual details of Jarnsaxa's execution of this attack:
Jarnsaxa angles herself to face her target and lifts her hands in front of her with fingertips alight in vibrant colors while two dice are shown between the fingers of one of her hands before disappearing followed by the forward movement of her hands in the direction of the target so that her fingertips meet, one hand over the other, as the chamber surrounds the combatant.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Dice Throw
Dice Throw involves Jarnsaxa summoning a cylindrical chamber with four rolling magical dice making up the walls and keeping the opponent feeling occupied with anticipation by watching the movement of the dice. The dice are in midair while orbiting the target. With the target as the central point, the dice are sent to begin orbiting the target with a radius of 4 feet. Thus, by causing a loss of focus, the target is distracted from battle. This attack can be cast at a target up to 9 feet away and its effect last for 40 seconds. It isn't impossible for Dice Throw to be interrupted, missed, dodged, or broken out of by exiting the spell's chamber or persisting to maintain a strong will not to be distracted. Its effect can only work on the intended receiver decided on when cast. This attack is limited to 3 times a day.

Visual details of Jarnsaxa's execution of this attack:

The changes from Dice Toss to Dice Throw involve there being double the dice and so each of her hands show two dice as she performs this attack.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Colorful Pinwheel of Dice
Jarnsaxa gathers colorful dice made of lights between her palms to then go zooming around the target as a loose cluster forming a cylindrical chamber. This has the effect of painting scenes around the target so they are entranced with wondering if the dice might be fortune telling in that they're watching or seeing, in a fashion akin to movie clips or views, a presentation of visions to their liking. The dice are in midair while orbiting the target. With the target as the central point, the dice are sent to begin orbiting the target with a radius of 4 feet. Thus, by causing a loss of focus, the target is distracted from battle. This attack can be cast at a target up to 11 feet away and its effect last for 45 seconds. It isn't impossible for Colorful Pinwheel of Dice to be interrupted, missed, dodged, or broken out of by exiting the spell's chamber or persisting to maintain a strong will not to be distracted. Its effect can only work on the intended receiver decided on when cast. This attack is limited to 2 times a day.

Visual details of Jarnsaxa's execution of this attack:
Colored dice of light appear in midair around Jarnsaxa then she spins in place with her arms reaching out to her sides as the dice circle her and the colors blend like that of a pinwheel. After the 360 degree turn, the dice have gathered between her palms to then be sent at the target.

Hi shy!

I don't see anything wrong on the civilian side, so you're all good there!

For the powered though, I am having a hard time (even with your small blurb) connecting the attacks to the sphere.

The attacks only read as puzzles. The character that is targeted is experiencing a puzzle room, but there is no...puzzles being solved? I don't really feel satisfaction from the attacks.

These attacks, with more descriptive information, would be better for a Senshi of a Puzzles. Which could be viable since they have been around for well...1000's of years. (Egyptians used them for pyramids and Chinese for entertainment)

Otherwise, I'd recommend a change of attacks if you wish to keep the sphere of Satisfaction. If you would like some ideas, I can try to get some going for you?

Hi, Nyx, thank you so much for your crit! <3 8 D

Dice is an excellent choice! They are old enough and used for very many things. Games, Divination etc. ect. I'd recommend linking the article for wikipedia, just in case. (had to look it up, but I know they are dated from before BC so you know haha.)

Her attacks are almost there, I just think they need a bit more detail into what they are summoning! I'm trying to imagine it, but at the moment I am not really seeing it.

When you say Forming a Chamber, Is it like a room? A box? How big is it?

Or is it a chamber of attention? As in the attack is solely focused on drawing the attention of the target and keeping them entrapped in it?

Then the dice are orbiting around the target? Like just waiting to drop?

What is the point to this attack? Is it to distract? To provoke? Because attacks require a little more detail, perhaps if you know a video game or something that is similar for a image sense?

Thank you so much for working with me as I am adding these clarifications to my attacks for Jamsaxa, Nyx!

I linked the page about dice ^u^

ouo Does this works to better illustrate the chambers? I added it to the attacks preface:

The chambers formed by Jamsaxa's attacks are cylindrical in that they are made up of the dice in midair that are orbiting the target. With the target as the central point, the dice are sent to begin orbiting the target with a radius of 4 feet.

I think I am getting a clearer idea, but it's still not...enough? I'm sorry, I am not trying to be rude, and I hope this isn't frustrating. Attacks have to be VERY clear in their descriptions of what are happening because they do effect the players.

I will use Methone's for Example, since she is my character. I am not saying you have to write it like this, but it is a very good example of details

Sailor Scout Attack: Aurora Borealis Flare

Sailor Methone calls out her attack and points upward towards the sky and above her head atop her index finger a solar light erupts in front of her of a blue-green, emulating the Northern lights. These lights only last for 10 seconds but blind anyone within a 7’ radius who gaze upon them for the next 15- 20 seconds (30 seconds blind if the room / area was in complete total darkness).

- Once cast the light remains stationary and she can move around freely.
- Light lasts for 10 seconds
- Light effects people within 7’
- Can be cast 3 times

on a flip side, I have Mintaka's attacks that are written like:

Sailor Scout Attack: Origami Flurry

Mintaka summons over 250 small paper cranes and paper stars that blind in a flurry, lasting less than 20 seconds but can be pretty annoying. It acts more as a defensive distraction, by blinding an opponent, Think of snow as it falls, it gets quiet and heavy and as it starts...it builds and builds until all you can see is paper cranes and stars. (Occasionally there is a paper cut or too but overall its meant to blind rather than hurt.) Her range though is max 10ft from herself and can be deflected by air currents, gust of wind and covering her eyes. It's also ineffective if the enemy is out of range or moves out of range.

In the case of your attack, There is more details emphasized on the placement of her hands rather then what the attack is actually doing, which is distracting to a writer because its the larger portion of the attack written.

If I was to do a quick example for your attacks, I would go along the lines of:

Sailor ---- calls her attack, as ethereal dice summon between her fingers. She targets 1 person and throws her dice at them. The dice begin to orbit, causing a cylinder like chamber about 4 feet that draws the targets attention to the now orbiting dice. They start to feel a slow bit of anticipation building up, distracting them from battle and causing a loss of focus. This attack last 30 seconds, has a radius of 7 feet away from her and can be used up to 3 times!

Notes: It can be dodged by stepping out of range, or broken if the character has a strong will not to be distracted!

If that makes sense? It's more fluid and allows the proper amount of details so that players understand what is happening!

Also! I usually recommend that usages vary for Senshi. Basics usually have less usage, while super will have a bit more. Eternal is the most powerful attack, so the have the least amount.

For example: Basic has 2 uses, Super has 3, Eternal has 2 again.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Also sorry, had to edit, the name for her moon is misspelled on the website you have!

It's certainly alright, Nyx! <3 8 D

ouo I corrected the spelling error and reworked the presentation of Jarnsaxa's attacks. How is it now?
