Rorrow stared at the door and choked back a sob. This was it...he was dead. He shivered as he crossed his arms so that one hand wrapped around the other elbow as he hugged himself a little. He had to take a few deep breaths. Facing Death wasn't easy you know...Rorrow felt like he had seen the thin male this whole time. Waiting for him...he teared up.
For them all. Surely he wasn't the only one who was going to enter this door. What would happen to him on the other side? Would he...just fade. The thought terrified him...to his very core. He hiccuped as he thought of his family...Corven. His twin was most likely going to enter this door soon as well. Would they lose that sense of twinship? He hoped not...really he preferred if they were reincarnated together again. His Gran...he let out a soft cry. He wanted to see her again...he regretted so much now...looking up he let a single tear fall.
He let his eyes fall to the door, his chin following a little after. He steeled his nerves and reached out. Fingers tapping the knob he inhaled sharply. His friends....his new family...a lost potential. It all came back to him in one instant. He cried yes...he felt sorrow over the loss. Then...the tears slowly stopped...they were Infected from Day 1...this...this was the end of the line. The last door he had to open...sighing lightly. Rorrow pushed the door open...stepping halfway he looked back. Feeling as if he was leaving something behind...it didn't matter anymore.
He turned and walked the rest of the way through. As he walked down the darkness he looked around, it felt like pieces of him were falling off...
He understood this was his Fate. He blinked...who was he again...
Your name is Rorrow...like a Robin and a Sparrow...
He was apart of a Legacy...that's right...he was there to Infect others...
NO!!! You can't!!
He had to find others...he had to-
-You have to listen! Your more than apart of this your-
-incomplete. That's right...he stumbled a little as it felt like a rope had been cut from him. He blinked slowly. Never looking back he kept moving forward. Finally he felt like he was breaching water. Gasping yet...there was nothing to take in...what?
He looked around...what happened? Where was his body? Oh no...he lost his body...OH GREAT!!! After a small moment of panic he calmed. Realizing the vines and such around him freaking out like he did. He could use those...while still feeling himself he gathered his mind together. The vines recreating who he once was...mostly. The leaves had fun remaking his body...was he always this girly looking? He shook his head feeling vines draped all around him mimicking his hair...well at least that was right...he sighed. Great...now what.
His body! That's right...he fumbled forward...whoa...that...that was off. One foot...then the other...come on vines...Rorrow started singing the old Christmas Song in his head and the vines seemed to get the hint. He searched...then blinked. He knew that teal tail...waving away the vines he inhaled softly.
He was small, perhaps half Rorrow's size if he was awake and standing. Young too...from the looks of him. Rorrow sighed...then blinked. This...creature...was his savior. He reached out brushing away a few locks of hair. He felt it...Creation wanted this child...and him...he panted...it was getting harder to control the vines. He picked up the child...fumbling out...finding the exit. He had to get this child out...they deserved this chance.
He got to the exit, every vine surrendering to Creation....the last strands of his hair placing the child out where his fellows found him. As Rorrow retreated he saw a red and gold male pick the child up and hold him close...looked like his Parent. Rorrow smiled gently as he walked back.
Recollecting a few strands here and there he stopped. This was all that was left of him...memories of his twin...a sensation of a unrealized crush...and serenity. He looked up...he wasn't going to let go of these things just yet...Creation would take him...he knew this...but for now...
He would remember Rorrow Zachariah Graves.
