He tried to make it back upstairs without incident, but there must have been some sort of nest of the two-headed things down here because before he could get there, he was confronted by another. Fed up with this mess, the boil ran for the new creature, stabbing it repeatedly until it backed down.

Unfortunately, going crazy on the thing with no regard for his own exhaustion slowed him down quickly and considerably. Bren tried to continue fighting until the creature dissipated, but his more lethargic stabs weren't enough to kill it.

He gathered enough strength to stab it with both blades simultaneously one last time, and it was enough to take care of the monster. Unsurprisingly, it left behind two potatoes, which Brenley pocketed for his human.
