Rep didn't as a rule go too far from the little civilian daycare he'd set up, but when he got a little overzealous about his hunting for items sometimes he forgot where he was. Before long he was climbing over a parked mini to use Tracey as a HUGE lever to open the boot/trunk of the thing.

He was entirely absorbed by his task and was oblivious to anything or anyone nearby.

Incidentally, one of the things which was nearby was an undying, but it hadn't noticed him either.

Shun, now sporting a rather muddy and somewhat ragged hunter coat, lowly grunted as he continued to lug the big human on through this wasteland of a city. He was going to need a break soon. And such, he went ahead and propped the human against a car wreck for the time being. He supposed it was good that he hasn't woken up to attack him again, yet. But at the same time, he really was a burden.

Rolling his shoulders once the heavy human had been set down, he looked around to see if there was anything lurking in the shadows. And well, he heard something nearby. Narrowing his good eye, he adjusted his scarf and hood, making sure a fair portion of his face was covered up, then moved on to investigate quietly. It didn't take him long before he saw the green eyed crawler making its way towards a hunter. He was fairly certain he had seen that weapon before too. Briefly, he considered letting the crawler go on and attack the guy who seemed to be largely unaware of the nearby danger. It was a tempting thought, really. But this time, he decided against it. Sighing softly, he swiftly stepped towards the sickly skittering creature before slicing its throat with a single strike, slaying the possibly slimy undying crawler.

Rep almost jumped out of his skin as the movement more than anything else nearby caught his attention. He pulled Tracey out of the car too late to do anything useful to his assailant, only enough to almost flip the thing with the force behind the swing.

"Oh thanks." he said, genuinely relieved that he hadn't ended up with undying teeth in his back. "Got kind of ******** distracted there." And he was still somewhat distracted, eyeing the trunk of the small car. "I was just thinking this ******** thing probably belonged to some hipster or something and there might be good loot in it."

He paused and eyed Shun again. "Don't think I know you." he said, his eye glancing to the pink on the other man's coat and immediately judging it. "What ******** division?" he asked. "I bet you are in Mist."

Once the hunter spoke, Shun realized who it was over the radio. It was hard not to recognize that particular voice. The Reaper was partially regretting taking out that undying now. Too late now. But he recalled how cautious the guy was just over the radio. He was going to have to watch himself here. At the very least, he knew he was a very hard person to read, even if his face could be fully seen.

"Not an issue. It was there, and it had to be eliminated," he shrugged.

"Death, actually," he said dryly. He had noticed that the red headed hunter had the same dual scythes plasted on the back of his coat. He looked him over briefly. Shun was fairly certain he had seen this guy causing some massive damage in the background in the past with that gigantic blade. It was also bigger than he recalled it to be, really. Not that he really encountered this particular hunter all that often in the past. He shook his head to himself before eyeing the trunk that he seemed to be considering to crack open, "Loot for the survivors or for yourself?"

Rep was preoccupied with the trunk of the car for a little bit longer, not seeming to be too upset over the fact an undying had been sneaking up on him, the thanks almost cursory. He climbed up onto the long and wickedly hooked handle of Tracey and jumped, using the considerable weight and the lever effect to pop the metal open like it was nothing, leaving it warped and twisted. He fished out his spoils and turned his attention back to Shun.

"Death?" he said, immediately suspicious, convinced that of all divisions he had a good handle on his own, a natural born gossip and someone who tended to remember people at division meetings. It didn't account for the off-islanders but they might as well have been halloween or horsemen themselves for the trust he placed in the outliers of the organisation.

"I've no ******** seen you before." he said, "And I get around."

"And its for them obviously, I have better s**t at home, they are the ones starving and dying. No me. I have supplies."

Ah yes. There came that issue. However, he was aware that Hunters had several 'outposts' around the human world, not just their main base. And thankfully, he knew of several human world locations.

"I get stationed out in outposts most of the time. Japan, usually. It is kind of dull out there, but it is better than being sent to the bloody desert where all the Horsemen are," he grumbled lowly, "Given the mess this city has managed to get itself into, I am not surprised they called in extra hands to deal with it."

He glanced into the trunk after it was opened, then gave a sort of impassive shrug.

"Not everyone is so considerate. I would not be surprised if a few tried to sneak a few things if they found something particularly interesting."

"Japan?" Rep said, making a face, reminded suddenly of all the times he'd sat and watched anime with Allan and been forced into various Japan oriented scenarios as a result of being in Sun. It was odd that he'd hardly been to Japan at all in all that time. He did not suspect anything about the other guy other than he was just some unfortunate ******** who'd been sent out to an outpost in the arse end of nowhere.

"I'd probably rather be in Japan than on the island." he said. "Probably a hell of a lot less dangerous out there. Had any weird s**t happen?" he gave Shun a sidelong look. "We've lost a few outposts to the eyes. Nothing where you are?" He couldn't help but fish for information, impossibly nosey about what could have been happening out on the fringes of Deus away from HQ.

"Why did you end up out there?" he asked. "I've only ever been outposted for being in trouble." and he grinned in a way that showed too many teeth.

As far at the idea of theft he waved his hand in dismissal of the horrible sort of people who might steal things they found interesting. "No me, I don't do stealing."

While his pockets were absolutely full of other people's junk.

"A few weird things, but nothing particularly dangerous. Generally it is just... quiet. A little too quiet if you ask me. People get complacent and then when s**t goes down, no one is really prepared," Shun stated with a sigh. He soon furrowed his brow and nodded slowly to the hunter, "I heard about that s**t. I know a couple years back, at least one of our outposts got hit hard by the horsemen, too."

He was there, after all. Just... on the other side. A time where he had been practically blinded by the desire for revenge against the Hunters. Granted, back then, they did seem like the biggest threat. Unlike now.

At the question of how he got put out there, the reaper shifted a bit.

"It... is a bit of an embarassing story. I do not really wish to go over the details."

Probably better to just handwave that for now. He tilted his head as the guy claimed to be the sort who didn't steal. And well, he had no reason (currently) to believe otherwise, so he just nodded with a shrug.

"Good to hear," he said before giving pause, "Hey... do you think there is a way we can take out the source of all of this? I think it has something to do with that skyscraper that had all the vines. I do not have any ideas of how to even begin approaching the heart, if that is even the case."

Rep nodded. "Aye, well it's been constant for everyone else. Self destructing s**t." he shook his head, trying not to think too hard about the arctic base he wasn't even allowed to go back to after red eyes pushed him to murdering their own people. He was almost glad this guy seemed to be from a quieter place, but at the same time felt slightly responsible for how much he didn't actually know about what was ahead.

He sighed. "Nae bother man, I know what that s**t's like."

"But er. I don't think we can take out the source of this." he rubbed the back of his head uncomfortably. "I think it can only be contained at best. I think it was contained before, well I KNOW it was, I ******** saw it. But it was weakening, maybe it's not even fully out yet. Maybe this is just the start."

He shook his head. "This s**t is something I've been chasing for months and months and I don't have the ******** faintest idea how we are going to do this, it corrupts us and ******** eats them. Far as I've seen, the only thing that is able to do anything about it is like.." he waved his hand vaguely. "The opposite. I had this...gem. It could.."

He cut himself off. "I don't want to get in trouble, I can't afford to get in trouble mate, I'm on my last last chance. Just. I don't think force will do it."

PostPosted: Fri Oct 02, 2015 12:08 pm

That was an answer he was worried about. If it couldn't be destroyed, it meant it had to be contained. That wasn't necessarily any easier, and it meant it could end up rearing its ugly ahead sometime again in the future. If Merlin was any sort of indication of that. But the bigger point was that it seemed the Hunters didn't have a solution yet either. That was a problem.

"I was afraid you would say that," he stated quietly. Shun rubbed his head in thought, "If it is not at full strength yet, it would really be within our best interests to try and... do something to re-contain it before it reaches that point. I really hope this does not mean resorting to Destruction. The last thing I want is to get another ******** Legacy mixed up in here."

He raised his brow at Rep's words. Last chance, huh? It seemed he had some sort of troublemaker on his hands here. That was curious. It might be something to consider in the future, but now was not the time.

"Even without force, there must be something that could be done... even if we do not know the means just yet. This spells grave things for our future if we do not find some way to stop it here."

"Err Destruction." Rep said, clearly uncomfortable at even the mention of it. He had met some woman who he suspected might have had something to do with it, some woman who was apparently called Morgana and he'd almost sided with her, would have sided with her if not for the chains.

"Seems like maybe it might be the thing to help. It seemed to..negate? The green eyes for a little bit. Maybe. I have a lot of ideas but they are just ideas." he held up his hands, absolving himself from any pretension of intellect. "I'm in Death but I don't do much thinking."

He did nod though. "But aye. If we get it here. I think they can move it, whoever it is who has it, O or something. They might move it again." he shook his head "But its just going to ******** spread"
PostPosted: Fri Oct 02, 2015 1:48 pm

"Agreed. And the more it spreads... the more difficult it will likely be to rear back. I can only hope someone manages to find a solution soon."

Shun really did not like the idea of having to rely on the top hunter people. But they had a better chance of working through this than anyone he could think of on the Halloween side of things. Arel knew more than he was letting on, but he never got involved more than he has to. Red... well. Red was Red. He had doubts of how much the Boogeymen actually knew about the Legacies. Somehow, he had a feeling they simply tried to cover it up or dismiss them.

"But... why would O do this? Or is this a matter of them meddling with s**t and not understanding the reprocusions?"

He didn't know what O was. The Reaper had a small guess, based on an encounter awhile back. However he could be easily wrong. And chances were that this group was supposed to be common Hunter knowledge.
