RESCUER: That's who you are currently rping! This is the person rescuing your disposable! So yes, technically you are rping a character rescuing your disposable, yes.

Take a look at the 1d10 you rolled in your first post. That is the amount of yards you have traveled away from the portal. Go ahead and start dragging them back through the fog. This is entirely rped so you can drag them back however you want. For Halloween students, your strength has been nerfed slightly, and are now proportional to a Human's strength. For a Hunter, the fog is sapping your strength, making you more lethargic. Your movement and strength is slowed down to a regular civilian's.

For this part, also keep in mind the height and weight of your victim when you take it into RP accord. As your characters are in a very densely populated part of the hospital, hitching a ride via any form of vehicle is not an option right now.

Peyton knelt beside the unconscious form of the young man, small hands gingerly investigating the state of his back. Bandages, a wealth of them, as well as a mess of what appeared be to bite marks, though too large, too spiked to be human. Probably not from the Infected, then, though there was no way to be certain of that until they woke up. With a thoughtful frown the girl rolled back onto her heels, looking down at him. Worst to worst, if he woke and started going for her throat it wasn't like it was going to be too hard to stop him. She couldn't remember if there was a cure, but she wasn't going to just leave him here, either.

So she stooped, grabbed an arm and pulled it up with the intention of drawing him over her shoulders in a fireman carry. (The only balanced means she could manage, given their height difference.) When she pulled though, trying to draw him up, he didn't move in a way she was used to heavy things moving when she pulled on them. Another try, and the same result.

What the ******** there was an answer, it was so faint she couldn't hear it, and the girl let out a loud, frustrated sigh. "Fine. I can still do this." It would be harder, but she could manage it. It would just take...longer.

Grumbling under her breath, she heaved on the man until she managed to drag him up in a reasonable facsimile of a fireman carry, and then slowly made her way back to the portal with him.

Once you have finally rped getting to the portal, after all your rescuer's blood, sweat and tears, you can go ahead and throw them into the portal and follow afterwards.

As you do you and the victim suddenly end up not anywhere safe and definitely not back to where you started. Instead, it seems like you are somewhere on a long stretch of (Human) highway. There is a very tall skyscraper next to you, covered entirely in vines, though the top of the skyscraper seems to have shattered. It hurts your head to look at the buildilng, but as you turn away, you feel something shaking around you.

Behind you is a ridiculously tall creature made of ??? and vines. It doesn't even seem to be made of Fear. It spans nearly fifty feet, and while at a distance it may have looked like some sort of mutated horse, it begins to unravel, hundreds of vines twisting into claws, and then fingers to grasp at you.

It had been a struggle, an actual struggle to get the survivor back to the portal, and Peyton all but fell through as they reached it. God, she was actually out of breath, for this. For this simple thing that should have been nothing to her. "******** this noise," she hissed out, kneeling for a moment on broken concrete as she caught her breath. Wait, broken concrete?

"s**t." This was not where they were supposed to be. Instead of a base, they were in the middle of a run down highway, God only knew where. "Damnit Mark, what did you do?"

When she saw it, the tower, the dainty Sun frowned. That didn't look good, not at all. Where the hell were they? Then shaking, faint at first, then growing stronger, until the girl was bouncing up to her feet. The thing, the horse? was huge. Stretching up and up, wives righting, hands reaching. Peyton's eyes widened, and then the whisper, burning through her mind, her body, and she let out a shriek as grasping tendrils came for her.

It is only the support of your weapon that causes you to regain semi-consciousness again as you force yourself as far away from the thing as possible. Just nearing it causes your head to pound horribly again. You feel a renewed power as you pick up the victim and begin to sprint out. Vines lash at you and you sever them with your weapon without much though. You run. It chases.

Now, after reading the above for this step, write a post in REACTION to what has happened in the entirety of STEP 2 for your RESCUER. You may now choose to continue to run (go to next step) OR stop a little to fight the boss. If you do, the boss has ???/??? HP. If your character (RESCUER) successfully does more than 10 damage to it (remember GUEST STUDENTS Have 2d6-6 dice and QUEST HUNTERS have 2d8-6 dice) you manage to repel it a little bit ICly and it gives your character a bit of a breather.

<Peyton!>

The daggers flashed to life in Peyton's hands, and she gripped the hilts, body moving now on instinct and practice as she sank back into a balance stance.

She was no mewling coward to stand and scream in the shadow of horror. She was a hunter, and it was her job to eradicate creatures like this from their world.

Let's do this, Warrick.

<Ready.>

First, they had to clear the way. She slashed, cutting down a reaching hand, then a second, and a third.

The path was clear.

With a feral grin the Sun took off, sprinting towards the gargantuan beast. Too fast to catch, she launched herself at one of the four legs, daggers sinking deep, and she let her weight drag them down, slashing through dark flesh in long, awful gashes that glowed green.

When she hit the ground the thing reared, howling in rage, but instead of attacking again it turned and charged away.

"...Wow, really?" That seemed too easy, but if it wanted to run, she'd let it. There was still the civilian to attend to.

And it was easier now, strength returned. Pey pulled him up with the effortlessness she was better acquainted with, shifting hi around until he was balanced on his shoulder. Then, carefully, she jogged for the portal-

-that wasn't there. "God damn it, Mark!"

Fast. Faster. Peyton ran, stealing glances over her shoulder now and again, only to snap her head back and run all the harder. Vines, everywhere. Crawling across the skyscrape, and down into the earth beneath the concrete, breaking and buckling all that lay above it.

She had to go faster.

But that was impossible. Fog licked at her heels, and she felt it sappy her strngth again, sucking it down so every labored step was harder and harder. "Fuuuuck." Not now! She stumbled, damn near falling, and the survivor slid off her shoulder onto the ground. "<********>" From bad to worst.

There only option appeared to be...cars. Peyton whined at the back of her throat when she saw the line of vehicles and absolutely nothing else. It was their only option, the only way they'd outrun the fog, but she really didn't want to do this. Hell, she didn't even know how.

But how hard could it possible be?

The cars were daunting. She didn't have a ******** clue where even to start with those, but there was another option. It might not have been as fast, but it was safer with her driving.

She dragged the young man over, situating him on the seat behind her as best she could before using her scarf to secure him to her back so he wouldn't topple off when she took a turn. Then, turning the key, she fired the engine up and maneuvered the Vespa out of the park and ride and onto the highway.

Everything was shaking again, and she didn't need to look back to know the monstrous horse had caught up to them again and was charging. "s**t," she hissed out, with feeling, and she gunned it.

But it wasn't quite fast enough. Something hit them on the side, causing the scooter to swerve violently before Peyton got it back under control again.

Distance: 7/10

It was still coming, but she could see the portal now.

What came next was something straight out of Fast and the Furious. Peyton kicked the Vespa into high gear, aiming straight at the thing, and at the last moment she threw it into a sharp right, letting momentum fling her and the young man tied to her both towards the portal together.

Distance: 10!

They didn't quite make it, falling just short with a hard crash into the concrete. Peyton tried to take the majority of the impact, but even still, it was enough of a crash to jar Liam's back, shocking the young man back into consciousness with a pained yelp followed almost immediately by a frightened, startled cry as he tried to scramble away from the small figure.

It didn't work well, they were still attached, just barely.

"Wait!" Peyton ducked a flailing arm, grabbing for it to pin it down. "Just wait!"

He didn't seem to hear her, at least not at first. He didn't know where he was, or who she was. He didn't know how he'd gotten there, or what had happened. Only that his back hurt as if he'd just landed on it, and he was tired to a small figure in a white coat that was trying to restrain him.

"Stop!" He tried to kick her off him, but she was fast, turning her body so the foot slid harmlessly past her.

"Calm. Down!" She didn't want to hit him, he'd been through enough, but if he didn't chill the ******** out she was going to have to.

He didn't.

She gave a frustrated growl before knocking him upside the head with the back of her knuckles. Not hard, but enough to stun him so she could get the scarf untied and then subdue his arms as she flipped him onto his stomach. "Listen!" He didn't have much of a choice now. "I'm sorry, but you need to stop! I'm not trying to hurt you, I'm trying to save you." She looked up, saw the horse, and growled. "You can ask questions, but save them for asfter we get out of here.

And with that, leaving him little room to argue, she yanked him back up and shoved him at the-

"Mother ********!"

It was gone!
