8 yards away from portal~
Why were humans so heavy?? She was trying her best to drag the woman along, but boy was it a struggle. She wasn't sure how far she had gotten from the portal she'd stepped through, but it sure seemed like a distance away. She just wanted to drag this flesh bag along to the rescue point and then be done with her. There was no telling what she'd been in or if it was safe for her to just carry her around. Then again it was more of a drag than carrying. She was a ghost after all it's not like she did any lifting or anything!
"What tha? Why do you have so many sweaters?" Was there some sort of strange requirement for them? Did the sweaters protect her from some sort of unknown force? Maybe the real threat was attracted to the sweaters. "I'm so done with this already," she groaned, pulling the human along further. She felt like she was getting nowhere, and the human just kept getting heavier and heavier. Why couldn't she just wake up and save herself already? Yeah, yeah saving humans and all so they don't go extinct. Still, it didn't make her feel any better knowing she was rescuing this person. It was all just a big bother. Finally it seemed she was able to reach the portal after much struggling and cursing on her part.
"Okay, in ya go!" she exclaimed, fumbling with the human before tossing her in and quickly following after.

Of course it wasn't that easy. It wouldn't be a rescue mission if it was easy. Not only did she have no idea where they were now, but on top of that there was all this weird stuff happening. This weird human highway thing was one thing, but now there were skyscrapers covered in all these vines and everything else along with it. The skyscraper hurt for some reason, so it was a good thing she didn't have to keep looking at the blasted thing. Preparing to pick up her human again, she paused as she felt the ground shaking around her.
"Oh this can't be good," she sighed, turning to see just what it was. A strange mutated horse thing, not what she was expecting but definitely terrifying nonetheless. "This wouldn't have even been a thing if I hadn't have had to save you!" she yelled at her human, struggling to fight the sudden pain that burst through her head. No way was she passing out here like her little human had. Nu uh, not going to happen today. She wouldn't allow it.
We will consume you and your Fear will be ours.
"Nope! Nope this is not happening! Like hell are ya going to steal my Fear!" Kallan continued to shout as she ran, her human in tow. It seemed she'd regained some of her strength back at least, a plus side to this entire ordeal.

Trying to hoist her human up, she stumbled away from the horse vine thing and over to some sort of strange car looking thing. It looked fast....but it also had no roof that she could see. Did humans really think this was okay to do? How was it supposed to cover them up without a cover, especially when being chased by a giant vine horse creature from the depths of a strange skyscraper.
"I've never driven anything before! Hopefully this works!" she exclaimed, shoving her human into the front seat, rolling her eyes as she slumped over into her way. "Y'know you're not helpin' here!" A piercing noise drew her attention back to the more pressing matters at hand.
"Come on, come on. I've gotta get out of here." Finally managing to start the car she sped off in hopes of getting away from the thing before it crushed her, or worse, absorbed her and made her part of it. Like hell she'd let that happen. No way she would rather be stuck to the human forever than be stuck to that. At least with the human she was still herself.

With a sputter and a jerk the car lurched forward, going a lot faster than she assumed it would. She screamed as she nearly hit another car, jerking the wheel quickly in an attempt to dodge the thing. That was apparently enough to catch the horse's attention even more as it headbutted the back of the car. There was a loud crunch as both she and the purple haired woman slammed forward.
"I really hope that didn't break any of your little human parts! Though you seem like you have enough sweaters to protect ya from just about anything! I just wish this thing would stop chasin' us!"

No sooner had she said that, the car seemed to kick it into high gear as she sped faster down the long stretch of highway. She was making her way, and it seemed the horse thing was struggling to catch up. If she could just get a little farther!! Pushing on the pettle as much as she could she leaned forward in some strange attempt to get closer to the portal faster. Dodging cars had been an amusing game other than her human slinging around in the seat beside her. Eventually she managed to screech the car to a halt before driving straight through the portal.
"Now to just drag ya to safety!"

"Okay, up ya go!" Kallan grinned, dragging the human out of the car. She was almost to the portal, mission accomplished, she'd be able to prove that reaper wrong - all in all she'd say her trip was going to be successful. Well, that was until the woman decided it would be a great idea to wake up. The moment she laid eyes on Kallan, she screamed and pulled out a knife to attack her with.
"What th- ya put that knife down, ya hear?" Kallan exclaimed, squeaking and dodging the knife swing aimed for her.
"Leave me alone! I just want to be safe!" the woman shouted, trying to swing again.
"Listen sweater lady I'm tryin' to save you!" That didn't seem to stop her as she swung at her again. Kallan jumped out of the car, running around to try and stop the woman. Oh, her goggles had fallen. Maybe she could use them for something? Turning towards the girl she swung the goggles at her, accidentally clocking her over the head with them. The woman quickly slumped to the ground, the blow to the head effectively knocking her back out.
"Now to just get ya back over-" she paused as she glanced around to find the portal. It was just here where had it gone it couldn't have disappeared. No, no, no she just wanted to go home. Not this! "Are ya frickin kiddin' me? Why can't things ever be simple??"
