After escaping the fog Lorena felt as crazy as ever, she spoke to herself in short bursts not entirely understanding the conversation she was having with herself. Faces have appeared, following her, stalking her. Lorena tried to avoid looking at them but they’re always there starring at her. One of these apparitions appears to look like Durza now. Lorena moves towards it, staring at this Durza apparition.
“Why do you keep tormenting me you stupid fog?” It’s unclear whether she is speaking to herself, the fog, or the real Durza. One thing is for sure though, she is slowly losing it.

He had been relaxing against a bush when Lorena had appeared. At first it seemed like he would have company for his meal But suddenly he was grabbed hold of! Lorena began to drag him toward the fog, calling him a shadow. As she had grabbed him by the wrist, he had no choice but to follow after her. Yet it seemed like she was keen on pulling him into the fog. There were all sorts of terrifying things lurking about in the fog, he'd heard tales of cute animals, warping into monsters as they were played with. He couldn't let that happen to himself, he had to stay out of the fog. Durza struggled as he was being hauled away. "Wait! I'm not a shadow!" He blurted out at her words.
“Durza…” Lorena whispered. “Durza we have to go into the fog. It will protect us.” The whispers were telling her to go towards the fog and she followed their voice like a dead zombie. When she looked back to see Durza wasn’t following she turned around and grabbed onto his arm to try and get him to follow her.
“You need to come with me Durza. He fog is good, come.” She was pulling at him harder now; they’d be safe in the fog why wasn’t he joining her! He needed to come, needed to be in the ull of the wonderful fog.

Durza did his best to fight against Lorena. He would have had an easier time if he'd pulled out his knife on her, but he refused to do such a thing, Lorena was his friend, after all. But he had to correct her, the fog just was not safe! She should know that. She probably does know that, but maybe the infection had her forget. "No! The fog's not a good place! It increases infection!" he shouted at her as she dragged him toward it, Lorena wasn't well. She was scratching herself like she had fleas and was trying very hard to itch them away. Itching a scratch that was all in your mind wouldn't help you feel any better, at least, that was Durza's suspicion. The state of her hair only made her look further crazed. He couldn't shake her off himself, if he couldn't get free, they would both be doomed. It seemed like she had a very strong grip on his arm, and he just couldn't manage to get his arm free enough or pull her away from the fog.
“No no, come Durza come!” Why was he being so rebellious? The whispers were telling her it was okay! The fog had to be okay.
“Just listen to me.” Lorena was dragging him closer again. “I know what I’m talking about. You need to listen to me.” She kept pulling at him. They needed to get into the fog and get to safety. It was their only chance to live and get back to the apartments. They had to survive and make it! People depended on them.
“They need us Durza.” They were all in there waiting for them, just a little more.

The fog... the fog... "No! I said no!" Durza increased his struggles against her, they couldn't get back to the apartment through the fog. They would have to pass the casino and he was not about to go back there! MUST GET AWAY! As his struggles increased, his panic escalated. If they were both lost to the fog, would anyone think to come looking for them? Would they join October and Zelda in becoming infected monsters? That didn't seem like a good option. The fog wants us, we can't join it. As he looked into the fog, shapes began to appear. Strange and unusual shapes, shifting and mutating. One of the things to happen was a shadow that caught Durza's attention more than anything and this very shadow that took the shape of a raccoon. He didn't know what to make of it, but he would see Umbrella again once he could return home.
Finally, Lorena let Durza drag her away from the fog. She didn’t understand why he didn’t get it that they had to go in there. But it was okay, they were two now they’d be okay right? But could she really trust him? He was from the apartments… Lorena shook her head. Too many whispers and so much itching.
“I’m so itchy.” She said softly, holding into her shirt to make sure she didn’t keep scratching. She was close to bleeding; if she didn’t stop she was going to go right through her arm. But she couldn’t and so it was a constant fight not to.
“Fine, I’ll follow you.” She grumbled softly, not really wanting to because of the whispers but knowing she had no choice. It was better than being stuck by herself out here right? She didn’t know if it was totally safe, but for now…
