User ImageShe was separated from the class. Almost completely dissociated from the world around her. Doing the class meets, and she would leave just as quickly as she came. This time, it was the holidays, and she was left with no one in the mess hall. The place was decorated in holiday attire and she was simply in a hogwarts sweater too large for herself. Pricking her sweater over her entire hand as she kept reading completely engulfed in her readings. Pressing her sweater hand against her lips.

Another book was on language and translations. Japanese and english. Continuously reading. Her mohawk was not pulled completely back with a tiny hair clip to keep it down. She started a year ago. No matter what she did, she couldn't make things better for herself. No one called for her. No one visited her. Essentially, the teachers had helped to guide her, and with the translator, and special tutoring of the english language. They learned no one wanted her to come back home.

They asked a few of the parents to come in and ask them to take in the transfer student. None so far.... A teacher came and sat with her. Bowing her head.

"We are looking in to more parents. I'm sure someone has an extra room for you."
"....."
"I wish I can take you in.. but ....we as teachers... Can not cross that line..."
"....."

"We are doing everything we can. Don't worry..." The teacher slowly put a box, neatly wrapped with an abundance of ribbons on top of the table. "Merry Christmas.."

When the teacher left, she just continued to read...

Click to show.Jane hadn't noticed straight away that her "friend" Fuzen had disappeared from the regular classroom until she missed seeing her for several weeks on end. She had spotted her here and there around Hogwarts but She hadn't been able to catch the younger girl, she seemed to be slippery and elusive like a snake. This caused her a lot of annoyance.

It wasn't until the holidays rolled around and she had free afternoons from classes that she heard teachers talking about the poor girl who had no one to take her in for the holidays. Curious, Jane slipped past them into the Great Hall and found Fuzen sitting at a table engulfed in a huge sweater reading a book.

"There you are!" Jane exclaimed and sat down next to her.
"I have been looking everywhere for you! Go get your things, my brother will be here shortly to get us. Come on now." Jane said poking Fuzen gently in the side. "Elias hates to wait on people, let's hurry."

User Image For a moment, she thought that she was going to end up being sent back to Japan, which wasn't the most pleasant place for her at all. It wasn't until Jane, a classmate slipped to a seat near her. Almost losing hope, and now the girl had told her to come with her, along with just that. Hope. "Ohiyo.." Bowing her head, although she didn't of course, seemed pleasant. She didn't smile, nor did she care about making connections with anyone. But Jane, Fuzen had often found herself in the same classes and at one point. Paired in a group with her. From that moment on, they sat near to each other although Fuzen was still anti-social.

"Have you spoke.. teachers? Yes?" She questioned, her english was still struggling, and her Asian tongue was still thick. Slowly lifting herself, she had the bags with her without a pet, nor delivery creature as she didn't have anyone sending her mail much at all. Never. Bringing her suitcase, which was only one compared to the ton that students usually had. "I am..ready... Jane-san." Obviously coming from a very respectful culture, she bowed, but still she seemed. Elusive still. Distant.

Jane wasn't really all that social either, though she did have the desire to rise to the top it wasn't by being popular with other kids. She more so wanted people to be too scared of her to question her or argue with her. So Fuzen's reaction didn't seem too strange to her at all.

She paused when she heard Fuzen asking about the teachers. Jane just shrugged. "I'll let them know you have somewhere to go, I doubt they would really care where you go. They just don't want to draw the short straw to stay here over the holidays. I'm sure they are not looking forwards to that." She didn't really think about what she was saying, as Jane wasn't a very sensitive person. If she had thought about what she was saying perhaps she would have realized that to someone else it would have sounded like no one wanted to stay to behind with Fuzen.

Jane was a bit surprised to hear that Fuzen already had her things ready. She glance down at the small suitcases Fuzen had at her feet and raised an eyebrow. "Ah packing light I see. That's smart. I am not sure how cold Japan gets but if you need to borrow something warmer I can loan you a few things." Jane replied and was a little taken aback by Fuzen's bow.

Truth be told, she wasn't very well versed in Japanese culture so Fuzen's tendencies were a little strange to her. "Let me go inform a teacher about the arrangements."

She started to to head towards the teachers huddled in a corner and saw her brother Elias stride into the Great Hall. At six foot two in height, he towered over most of the teachers. She changed course to intercept him.

"Elias, you don't think mother and father would notice if we brought Fuzen home with us do you? She doesn't have anywhere to go for the holidays and I thought since they'll be partying most of the holiday anyway that we could make some room for her."

Elias smiled down at his sister and shook his head. "I'd never thought I'd you'd invite someone home for the holidays Jane. I'm sure they wouldn't even notice or really mind. I've been asked if we could host a few other students over the holidays as well, I was going to ask you what you thought. I know you aren't a very cordial person or personable. We'll have to wait for a little while longer until they're all here. We'll be going by Floo once they're all here. Oh and Gerty has already taken our bags to the house."

Jane wasn't so happy to hear that there would be more kids staying at their home but wasn't going to argue against it. She didn't think it would be much fun to stay at the school over the holidays with no one around. That would just be miserable.

"Oh well I guess I could be somewhat nice for a change and try to be a good hostess to whoever ends up coming home with us. As long as no one makes fun of me or Fuzen I don't have a problem with it. Why don't you let the teachers' know that she'll be coming home with us as well." Jane added.

With that she went back to Fuzen and motioned for her to sit down.
"We will be going just not yet. My family is hosting a few other kids for the holidays as well. Hopefully they won't make us wait too long to leave." She explained. "what were you reading?" She asked hopeful that she could find a distraction that would keep her occupied until the other kids showed up.

They knew this and had sent them anyway. He sighed and pulled them on, wincing at how they constricted his feet. There was no helping that, his feet would always feel like that in any type of shoes. Once his shoes were on and tied, he pulled his tan pants down over them and grabbed his coat and pulled it on.

He was a bit displeased with having to go home with a strange family for the holidays but there was no changing that. His parents had gone on to Bavaria earlier in the year and had told him that they didn't want him to catch whatever was ailing her family. It sounded almost like an epidemic since nearly all of his extended family had come down with the same thing. He just hoped that his parents wouldn't get sick as well.

He ran his fingers through his hair in an attempt to smooth it out and then gathered up a few books to take with him. He stashed them in his book bag and slung it over one shoulder. He made his way out of the Hufflepuff common room, stopping outside the entrance to take in a long whiff of what was cooking in the kitchens. Whatever the house elves were cooking smelled wonderful. It was too bad that he wasn't staying for the mid day meal.

He sighed and slowly made his way to the Great Hall. He winced as his feet rubbed against the course inside part of the shoes. Whoever had made these shoes hadn't done a very good job of it. He could swear he was already getting a blister from the friction.

He pushed his way through the large doors and glanced around. He spotted two girls sitting at one table and glanced at them curiously. He wondered if they too, were going to the same house he was. He paused near the teachers congregating in one corner and stopped to listen to their conversation.

"There is something strange about that girl, she doesn't show any kind of expression whatsoever."

Nahuel's right eyebrow twitched. Often times people said the same thing about him. He thought it strange that people were so taken aback by those who didn't show emotions. That just showed that you had a strong control over them, wasn't that supposed to be a good thing?

"How is that a bad thing?" He could help but ask. "Don't you tell the kids to not be so dramatic most of the time? Sounds like you're sending mixed messages to me." He couldn't help but shake his head at the befuddled looks on the teachers' faces. "Never mind, just forget I was here." He added and moved away before they could say anything.

He was relieved when he saw the Prefect he had met earlier coming towards him. "Hello Prefect Elder, are we going to leave yet?" He was started to get itchy feet and he really wanted to get the dang shoes off as soon as possible.

"We have just one more to wait for, if you want you can go wait with Jane and Fuzen over there. I will be right back, there is something I forgot I needed to do. See you soon Mr. Chivas." the Prefect replied with a bob of his golden hair and dashed off.

Nahuel watched the Prefect leave and then glanced back to the two girls sitting there. He hadn't met either of them yet, though he had noticed them from afar. They were both shorter than he was, though he was sure they were both older. Not wanting to make them feel uncomfortable, he took a seat on the bench across from theirs.

"Hello, my name is Nahuel Chivas, I don't believe we have met before." He said as he extended his right hand to the girl with the pastel colored hair.
