Oscar wandered the area, playing with a coin in his hand anxiously, rubbing it with his finger nervously. Where could he go now? He'd somehow lost Lenny in the crowd again, and now, he needed someone he at least knew from a passing glance or a chat. Something of recognition was enough, something that'd make him return to being himself and not a bundle of nervousness, panic, and anxiety.
Bumping into someone on his way to the bingo game, Oscar murmured a small apology before actually turning his head to see who it was, face relaxing the moment her recognized the short bobbed hair. His mouth cracked into a wide, tired grin the moment he realized who it was-- "Renita?" He asked, voice almost cracking at the realization of seeing her. He instantly cleared his throat and rubbed his nose, adjusting the goggles on his head and tugging at his sweater. Realization hit him-- If she was here, than... She was in this battle for her life too. Or virtual life. He had no idea anymore. "Nice necklace. Really brings out your eyes." He commented dully, trying to lighten the mood as he read 110 on her collar. She was certainly more expensive than he was, that was for sure. Maybe because she was a girl? He had no clue. Neither did he really care. Giving her a look over, he couldn't help but wonder. "...Are you okay? Where's Sawyer?" He asked, glancing to the side. She and her sister weren't his favorite people, that was for sure (and he was sure the same applied for them), but she and her sister were people he knew, and that was enough, really.

Renita left the bingo table feeling, well, not quite back up to usual composure, but better at least. Less likely to burst into tears again, for certain, and that was progress enough to be thankful for. It had been a good thing, meeting Wataru at the bingo tables, even if it felt a little wrong to find any reason to be glad he'd ended up in the same mess they had. They'd split up after the game, to keep trying for coins, and she silently wished him luck again as she decided to take a look at the card tables.
She was just deciding between blackjack and poker, weighing the pros and cons of each game, when someone bumped into her suddenly. She stumbled, then whirled complain only to pause as she registered an apology and then- "Oh! Oscar!" Right, she'd suspected he and Lennard would be here as well, but somehow she hadn't considered that she might, well, bump into him, literally or otherwise. Was she really going to find everyone else before Sawyer?
"It's not really my style." She huffed, eyes falling to the 'necklace' secured around his own neck. Less than hers as well. She was tempted to comment on that, but all things considered she decided against it. He looked- Well, something beyond tired, maybe, and she wondered if that meant he'd seen the same sort of thing she had. Heavens knew she probably looked a mess.
"I've...been better. And I suppose that means you haven't seen her either." She sighed, shaking her head, then managed a small smile of her own. They'd never gotten along, but they were in the same boat here, and he seemed honestly concerned. "Are you alright? You're generally...louder."

Oscar managed to stifle a chuckle and let his hand fall from his neck to fiddling with his collar, voice lower and body visibly tired. "It's definitely your color." He said in a mocking tone, then dropped the lighthearted tone before he looked around the room. She spoke to him and he gave the ceiling a wistful look. "Nah, haven't seen her. I've seen so much, and none of it was her." His eyes fell down to look at her at her mention of him being louder, a weak grin spreading across his face. "And you're generally... bitchier." He said lightly, eyes dull yet the grin still spread across it. He whistled. "Let's just say, I've seen the s**t they do here first hand." He murmured, then glanced to the side. "I'm assuming you have too." She seemed older, even if she was already mentally a prickly old lady. "Speaking of searching, Have you seen Lenny?" He honestly hoped his roommate wasn't there, but a selfish part of him wanted someone closer to him to be there with him, experiencing what he was going through. So that I'm not alone.

Renita lifted an eyebrow, prepared a counter, and then paused again as he admitted that he'd witnessed the worst of the casino. She frowned, bothered and more than a little irritated that even this wasn't back to normal. He'd been infuriating her long before the world had taken its dark turn in Delta, and maybe there'd been a bit of relief at the familiarity of telling him off for being an idiot that she hadn't realized until now. Feeling so sympathetic towards him just felt...awkward.
"Not Lennard, no. I did run into Wataru a moment ago, though. He's doing as well as possible, I think. Missed out on the scenic tour we got." She looked back towards the bingo table, then turned her attention back up at Oscar and, just for a moment, missed her heels. Then she straightened and crossed her arms, all business. "We should have another look around for them. Between the two of us, we might have better luck seeing at least one." She turned to lead the way without even considering that he might prefer to do something else or go a different way.
"And for the record," she continued a moment later, glancing back at him, "the ability to actually act like a responsible adult does not make me a b***h."

While he felt good that Wataru was alright, a small feeling of injustice curled in Oscar-- It wasn't fair he didn't see anything mentally scarring. It wasn't fair he had a lighter sentence. Slightly grumpy now, he still expressed his relief of him being okay with an "ah, great" before hearing her sentence-- Searching for them. While it sounded like a good idea, the way she took charge of the situation put him off. But he was too tired to protest, so he trailed after her, keeping an eye out for any figure he even slightly recognized. "Yeah, you can scout the floor, shortie. I'll keep my eyes in the skies." At her words, the larger man chuckled dryly, feeling a slight sense of nostalgia seep into him at their bickering. "No, it doesn't. What does make you one is your uptight attitude." He stated with a smirk, glancing around him. "The world or whatever the ******** it is has gone to s**t! People are literally extortioning others for weird s**t. I don't even know what they're doing with people." He groaned, then slid a hand through his hair. "I just don't get why you keep acting so straight-laced. You don't even have work going for you anymore." He stated, idly rubbing his aching shoulder as he awaited a response.

"Yes, you're still taller than me. Congratulations." Renita returned just as dryly, rolling her eyes as she turned her head to scan the crowd gathering around a nearby poker table. If the move kept him from seeing the barest hint of an amused smile, well, that was no one's business. It was quickly gone again regardless, consequence both of finding no familiar faces at that table and the man's next words. Oscar had quite a lot of things to say about how she acted, apparently.
She pivoted on her next step, twisting back around to glare up at him. "You can't be serious." And then she scoffed. "Of course not, you're never serious. You've just done a great job explaining that you don't even see the point in it." She jabbed a finger aggressively at his chest. "Being 'uptight' is more important now than it ever was. I mean, in case you haven't noticed, we are in a life or death situation!"
Shaking her head, she let out a mocking laugh. "But oh! Wait! I don't have to worry about my job anymore, so I should be happy right? Lots of time to goof off and play around, right?" She couldn't believe she'd been thinking she missed this not two minutes ago. If he never spoke to her again it would be too soon. "Our lives are not a game, Oscar, and if you don't get that now," she swept a hand out angrily to demonstrate that she meant the casino specifically, "then you are completely and utterly hopeless."
