In part she blamed it on boredom, in part she also blamed it on the fact that these damned things have been making life for everyone a nightmare for about a month.

They were far from even looking human anyway, unlike in The Walking Dead and other zombie TV shows and movies like it.

So she had no problems doing serious damage to these things with her fishing rod, the handy thing that it was. Its sturdiness was incredibly surprising.
As she rounded a corner she finally caught sight of her first victim, and she grinned. Finally.

Mel expertly maneuvered herself around the undying and started whacking away, her screams basically listing off the different ways in which the infected and undying made all their lives harder. If these things didn't actually dissipate once killed she would probably have whacked it into mush.

Well, that was one down and she already felt better. Awesome. She glanced around on the ground, wondering if this thing dropped something for her. Nothing this time though, maybe next time.

After a minute-ish break she moved on, continuing her search for things to kill. The rush was, admittedly, pretty addicting.

Mel didn't feel as though she were in any rush to find and destroy these undying, so it wasn't a problem. In fact, it was probably better that she was taking it slow because then she wouldn't be winded when she found her next target.

It was a big'un this time, but no matter! Her fishing rod had yet to fail her, and after a minute of walloping the undying it finally dissipated. Mel actually broke a sweat this time, and had to take a seat to catch her breath.
