Hitsu had wandered the casino, this far only playing a few of the games. Not because she wanted to, but because they had to if they wanted to get out of this place alive. She was still plenty shaken, and just because she wasn't weeping anymore didn't mean she wasn't constantly fighting against doing just that.
It was surprising that it had taken her as long as it did to find Cecil, considering how he stood taller than the majority of the crowd. It was a comfort to know that he was alive - safe was questionable - but what reign she had on keeping from breaking down all over again was gone when she realized that he had to play these terrible games as well.
"Cecil!" She'd called to him, loudly as to be heard over the chatter, music and machines. Hitsu didn't even care if he heard her or turned around. She rushed to him and threw her arms around him in a hug. Not in a gesture joy, but to offer comfort and hopefully get some reassurance herself.

Cecil had been wandering through the casino mostly trying to check up on people as he went. Games were not his thing as he had learned in a very very painful way. His hand still rested at his side as his gaze shifted about the room a familiar voice calling out to him from beyond the sea of chatter.
"Hitsu?" He turned but didn't immediately see her but that didn't matter because in a moment he knew exactly where she was. "Ahhh ow ow ow. H-Hitsu. Careful." He pleaded, wrapping an arm around the girl and trying to loosen her hold just a little against his side. A few steady breaths and he composed himself, pushing back the pain. "I was hoping you weren't here. Are you alright?"

His response immediately had her pulling her arms from around his middle, startled and her face the picture of concern. "Wh-what's wrong?" It only took a second to see the tear in his clothes from the bullet he'd taken and the blood soaking the material. She felt awful for not paying attention, and the frightened sound she made was equal parts guilt and worry.
"Who shot you?!" She demanded in a shrill voice, reaching for the wound but hesitating. It would hurt him even worse to mess with it, but... "I have bandages! I can wrap it for you. D-Do you know if it... It's not still inside of you is it...?"
Too frantic about the injury, she didn't even seem to hear him ask if she was alright. But, physically, she looked to be just fine. Emotionally? Well, he probably could have guessed that well enough without her input.

"I..I uhh.." He cleared his throat a little a embarrassed by what really happened. "It's not important." He didn't want to tell her he had managed to shoot himself. "But I'm.." But before he could explain that it was fine and he was taken care of Hitsu was freaking out.
"Hitsu. Hitsu! I'm fine. I'm fine." He had rose his voice enough to get her attention and when he had it he leveled out his tone into something more soothing. "Brie from the apartments gave me some bandages and Charlie got me patched up it just hurts a bit is all." He lifted his shirt so that she could see the bandages. They were a little bloodied now but at least mostly clean. "I'll be fine. So don't worry."
He wrapped his arm around her shoulder again and brought her close trying to keep her to the side that wasn't injured. "Are you alright? I was hoping you were still back at the dorms."

She stopped stammering for the moment when Cecil rose his voice, though she didn't look any less panicked. The tears in her eyes hadn't started rolling yet, but they weren't far from doing so. Nodding to his reassurance, she took a few deep breaths to try and calm herself down a little, sniffling and rubbing at her eyes with one of her sleeves. Not that it really would help since her eyes were still tearing up. This was all too much to take in.
"But you're not fine... Not with that collar still around your neck." It was then that she'd actually looked at it, reading the number through slightly blurry gaze.
She knew how many coins she had, and now she knew how many more she needed to win. She was already so close.
"We've got to get everyone out of this terrible place," she stated. And everyone was so, so many people... Their University members came first, and there were many, but how could she look into the faces of some of the people she'd seen from other factions and not try to help them too?

"I am fine." He repeated. "This won't kill me."
He hugged her close before he released her, standing back so that he could get a good look at Hitsu. Mostly she seemed fine beyond the obvious distress. Cecil couldn't blame her for that and he carefully lifted a hand to brush away some of the tears with his thumb. "There will be no sad tears. Alright? We are going to make it out of here."
He stood up fully then, glancing around the casino. His words had came out much more confident than he felt but that was something he supposed. "We do and we will get everyone out of here. Just please focus on yourself. If you have enough money I want you to buy your freedom no hesitation. Your brother would be very cross with me otherwise if I let something happen to his sister, yeah? I can't risk that."

Hitsu managed a smile for him, and it was only partly forced. The reassurance on his part was something she desperately needed, and she returned the hug eagerly, careful this time of where his injury was.
God, she felt guilty to actually be thankful that he was here with her. Now of all times.
Nodding to him, she took another deep breath and exhaled. "Easier said than done, but I'll try not to cry... I'm not doing too bad in the games, at least."
There wasn't an agreement given on his instructions to her, though, and she was silent for a few short moments. Her brother would be upset with them both if they didn't help one another. He would have done what she wanted to do without a second's hesitation, and it doubled her determination. "I thought I had enough, but I'm still close. I just need to win nine more."

"I'm glad you are doing well." He wasn't doing so great but at least he was in the positive.
The news she gave him after lifted his spirits, however, and he finally managed a real smile. She was that close already? "That's great! Hitsu, if you are that close I can lend you the last nine you need so you can get this collar off your neck. I have more than enough. I'm just waiting on Rook and Charlie to get their numbers together. I want to make sure I still have extra to try and earn more coins." It was a little bit of a lie but in the same instance it wasn't.

Hitsu smiled because he smiled. It was wonderful to see a true happy expression despite how bad things were.
His offer wasn't a surprise, and she was quick to shake her head. "No, Cecil. I know I can get them. You save your coins for someone else."
She probably should have said she wanted him to save them for himself...

The smile was gone, his brow furrowing forward. "Hitsu. Really its no trouble. I want you to be safe. The things that I hear on the radio....the dinner." He shook his head. "You need to get out of here as soon as you can." The anxiety he felt was starting to show on his face, made all the worse by the injury that kept giving him subtle reminders than it ached with every breath.
"Please. For me? Think of it as a favor and you know I always pay back my favors."

When he persisted, she actually started backing away a bit. "Just let me do this, okay? I'll be fine. I'll win more, I promise." She didn't realize that she was fidgeting, but she had stopped looking him in the eye which wasn't like her.

She had looked away and at that moment Cecil knew something was wrong. "Hitsu?" Despite how she tried to back away he reached out to grab her shoulders and lean down to look at her eye to eye. He disregarded her concern, he knew he would be fine, but there was something else troubling him.
"How many coins do you have?" He asked just as he glanced at her collar.
