The last attempt at an adventure had not gone too well; traveling into a dangerous area like that probably hadn't been the best of ideas. Those infected had been right in front of her, she dared to try and it hadn't worked. Perhaps sticking to what she knew was the best course of action, especially in her current state.

Looking through an building hopefully would be as similar a task as umbrellas and items near Clearview. And thankfully, it was only one level, and something she had been familiar with back in the day. "I remember when these stores sold more staples than computers," she mused, pushing back the door and into the building proper.

Much of the building, like so many near her new home, had been ransacked of the more useful items. Though, it seemed in desperation - and maybe hope - higher end had been taken as well, thoughts for it times returned to normal. So much paper was left, scattered about on the floor in heaps with dust and dirt. Cabinets were overturned as well as racks and broken shelves. Juliette stumbled past all of them, craning her head carefully down a few aisles to see if she could see anything of initial use first before venturing through them. She didn't want to push herself too much, not with being chased earlier. She was still weak and light headed after all.

A bright object caught her eye near the registers, the trays had been emptied some time ago it seemed but that wasn't what she went to check. When she approached closer, it seemed that there was a stapler still on the counter. And closer still allowed her to find the hand attached to it. It was just a hand and part of an arm and nothing else. Someone had lost it - had they turned or was it a misfortune of running into trouble? It would have to be left to her imagination perhaps. And what the writing on the bracelet mean. R O R, it read and the rest illegible.

Something to report back. Along with whatever could be behind that interesting smell that crossed her nose. Juliette's nose wrinkled and she swayed lightly on her feet, it was very potent and effecting. Still though, she followed it to one of the side rooms that the store seemed to have. It was near the copy center - also abandoned with things thrown around - inside a room where the copies were made themselves. The machines looked like they had stopped some weeks ago and ran cold and dead but it looked as if they had been working until they did their last. Honestly, she would have considered it like any other loose page that littered the ground but as she hobbled forward she noticed there were images upon them.

Carefully she leaned down and plucked a stack up and riffled through them, only to let them fall back. Her lips thinned into a line. They reminded her slightly of images her father had shown her of the war. But so much different. Different means of killing. Brutal and almost in the process. She kept one just in case the bandits would have wanted one and left the rest undisturbed.

Closing the door behind her, Juliette found herself staring at something a little unexpected for such an area but so welcoming. Her eyes lit up, instantly even from what she had just looked at and she moved forward in hope. Another possible cat to add to her apartment, "hello," she called to it softly. Its fur was not as shiny as Duchess Dirtypaws,' it was haggered and unkept and an ear had been split in twine. It looked like it had some stories to tell indeed, but it wouldn't want her to hear. Noticing her, it hunched its back and hissed at the woman and jumped away. A feral thing, apparently, and wanted nothing to do with her.

A shame, her smile fell into a little bit of a pout. It wanted to be left alone, as she desired the opposite from a furry companion. Juliette sighed and pressed a hand to her head and leaned on the counter for a brief moment. Her dizziness was growing, perhaps it was time to leave. Keeping a hand on as many steady objects as she could, the older woman made her way out of the Staples. Along the way she passed that stapler again - it was tempting to take but it was left alone.

Juliette took her time in returning the bandits' strong hold and didn't report her findings to them at first, almost like she was collecting her thoughts. In actuality she was more of collecting her self and trying to catch her breath.

She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes and recounted what she saw. The stapler with the hand and the three letters she had found and then presented the now crumpled paper to them. She also reported the cat, fondness in her tone, though they appeared not to care about the feline (they even cut her off while she told them exactly what it looked like and what name she would have given it).

They dismissed her then and thanked her.... in... so few words. More like a grunt, but she took it as she thought it to be, which was probably more than it was.
