It had been some time since Smolder had traveled out of University. Since classes had started up again he had been completely swamped and feeling a bit run down. It was unlike him to lock himself in his room and refuse to be seen by his friends, but he needed to start taking his schooling more seriously and was trying his best to buckle down. He wasn't in the Academy anymore. He had to be an adult now.
But why was being an adult so haaaaard?
It was time to take a well deserved break from it all. Smolder had decided to take a couple days off and travel the areas closer to Leviathan University. He had taken the train, and had arrived in a few hours. It would be a nice little adventure, he hoped. But for now, his rumbling stomach demanded that he feed himself.
"Sustenance! Must. Re. Fuel." with a groan and a shamble, Smolder set off to find the nearest place he could locate in order to grab some grub, ignoring the eyes of all those questioning his gestures and pseudo agonizing moans, skeptical of him.
It didn't take long for Smolder to find a quaint, small looking cafe. He could smell the fresh pastries luring him in from off the street, and the starving Fallen happily obliged and heeded its call.
Smolder pushed open the door, a small bell announcing the entrance of a new patron. The fiery-haired Fallen took in a deep, long breath, inhaling all the sweet smells for a long, delicious moment before striding forward to the counter to place his order.

With the university just starting back up for the semester, Keira had so much homework to do! As usual, she was on top of it though. After all, how was she going to succeed if she didn't study everyday? There was plenty of time for fun after each semester, not that this young lady did anything that would qualify as fun to anyone else. For the now, all Keira cared about was proving to her classmates, her teachers and herself that she could become a great alchemist! Well... and enchanter! This baphomet was planning to double major, maybe even triple major!
Today was way too nice out to just study inside, so Keira had planned an outing to her favorite cafe. It was a small little cafe that she felt she wouldn't be bothered at. She packed her bag full of homework and headed out, stopping and going back to grab her wallet. She sighed in relief, glad to have remembered it before she was too far... she'd forget her horns if they weren't attached! She shook her head at herself as she locked her door and headed out.
Upon arriving, Keira greeted the old couple that owned the place then set up her stuff at a table. She ordered herself some tea and a cupcake, paying and returning to her seat. She was almost done with half of her homework when she heard the bell go off at the door. She didn't even spare it a glance, she was far too focused on the work to be done. After all, fun times weren't going to get her work done.Ember-babe I could change my color if need be

Smolder stepped up to the counter when it was his turn and beamed a happy, exuberant smile. An elderly Demon smiled up from him behind thick spectacles, her smile bright despite how frail she looked.
"Hello!" Smolder piped up boisterously. "Can I get a London Fog, one of your cheddar pesto twists, annnnd ... " The Fallen leaned over to check out the display case again. One of your cherry cheese danishes, if you'd please!"
The old woman nodded and toddled over to the case where she withdrew the items he requested, her husband working on the beverage for him. Smolder exchanged his money for the goods, taking each plate in one of his hands and walked over to a table and sat himself down, setting the plates on the table.
When his drink was ready the old man wobbled it over to him, gently setting it down on the table. Smolder grinned up before turning to dig in to his food.
Just as he stuffed the cheddar twist in to this mouth he spotted a crimson-haired girl. He blinked. She was studying in a place like this?
"Mmmnf?" Smolder asked around his food. He nearly choked.

Keira had been so wrapped up in her alchemy books that she completely missed the other's attempt to get her attention. Perhaps him having his mouth full played a part. She turned the page in her book and wrote down more notes. She repeated this step a few more times before taking a sip from her tea and taking a good bite from her cupcake. She did pause for a moment to savor the taste of her cherry filled cupcake; it was delicious. She smiled to it, about to take another bite when she saw a bright orange male looking at her. She looked at him oddly, wondering if he had actually been looking at her or if he just looked up when she did.
"Can...I help you?" She asked softly, not trying to be rude but also not trying to sound meek and shy. She then took a small bite, nothing like her last bite, of her cupcake and washed it down with some tea.

Smolder swallowed hard, looking around as if to double check that the woman had indeed spoken to him. Once more the Fallen blinked lucidly before rising to his feet, pointing at himself before inviting himself over to the girl's table and settling in, chedder twist still in one hand. "Uh, not really. I was just curious why you were studying here is all. Seems like an odd place. Do you go to Asterion, or are you just reading up on such a heavy topic for leisure?" Smolder gestured to the Bapho's alchemy books, a curious expression on his face.

Keira watched at the fallen male pointed to himself, nodding in response that she was indeed talking to him. She watched as he sat at her table, a little surprised. What was in his hand? It smelt really really good, she'd have to ask him after she figured out why he kept looking at her.
"Why... wouldn't I study here? It's at least out and about... better than being stuck in the library or in my dorm." She commented, wondering if this guy even went to college. "No, I go to Leviathan. This is my homework... and maybe a bit of leisure studying." She admitted, picking up her teacup and sipping from it. "Where do you go to college?" She asked, watching him closely.
