{OOC: This takes place a very short time after THIS RP}

The summer night sky was still clear as the moon and stars shone down on those wandering around. The night air was a blessing to those who dealt with the scorching summer heat without the air of Air Conditioning. In a way, the cool temperatures were mother nature's own AC and many people were taking advantage of it.

Gwen had been one of those people. She had set out that night to enjoy herself and get the lay of the land in the city she now called home. Unfortunately for her, she also found much more than she could deal with.

After a rather terrifying encounter, Gwen continued to sleep in the exact spot she had been deposited. The shadows of the factory building did a fairly good job at keeping her hidden from any passerby's which was a good thing considering she was in no position to defend herself, even if she was awake. Tiny scrapes and a new bruise here and there marred her otherwise pale arms and legs while her usually well maintained hair was in a bit of disarray. Her head rested along her shoulders and her back against the factory building itself. She'd certainly awake to a sore neck in that position.

It certainly wasn't a place that anyone would expect to find a slumbering woman. Certainly not one who looked like she'd just had a bit of a run in with...something.

Had Rohan been any other person... he'd have thought twice about walking the lonesome streets at night. But then again, maybe not; after all, on his rather late, twilight stroll, he'd passed by more than one person that seemed to be out enjoying the breeze. Perhaps it was because of whom he was that he thought them careless... foolish even. Still, at the end of the day, he couldn't quite blame them.

It was almost like the city's populace walked around with a giant blindfold, refusing to acknowledge that there was anything out of the ordinary; Rohan had no way to explain the strange state of utter denial everyone seemed to walk around in... but soon enough had stopped asking questions.

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Something along those lines, he figured. Still, given the fact the city posed little to no threat to him, he often indulged in leisure strolls. Not only did it help clear his mind, but it also allowed him to survey his surroundings and stay fit; there are literally no downside to the activity that he could see. Or, well, usually there was no downside. Today, however, soon proved itself to be an entirely different sort of matter, given the fact that even though most of his attention had been on his phone, Rohan could not ignore the fact that when he'd turned a corner, passing through a shortcut between buildings... he'd come across what initially looked to be a corpse.

His first reaction was to still his breathing, as if somehow, that would change the situation at hand. The glow of the phone shone upon the young woman's face, casting parts of it in shadows, and for a split second... Rohan thought about turning around, leaving; this was not his problem. If he left, he could probably ignore the whole ordeal, go back to the article he'd been reading on his phone.

And yet, the thought hadn't even finished forming in his mind, and the man found himself disgusted with the idea. His lip raised, baring his teeth into a silent snarl, directed more inwardly than anything else, the breath he'd been holding escaping through gritted teeth in a hiss. A second went by, two, and then the woman moved slightly, her shoulders raising in breath, the light of Rohan's phone still shinning on her form.

It took him no more time to make up his mind, and he slowly moved towards her, crouching at her side. He pondered his options, swiftly deciding that grabbing her and carrying her elsewhere... would likely be a horrible idea if she woke up mid-trip. The least he could do was wake her up and appraise the situation before taking action, and so thus, the arm he wasn't using to hold his phone slowly unfurled from its perch over his knees and made its way to her shoulder, "Hey there," he shook her softly, mindful of any injuries she might've had, "Hey," a pause followed and then a sigh as Rohan looked over his shoulder, "I would much rather you wake up. Sooner rather than later. And quietly," he lowered his voice, no longer really talking to the unconscious woman so much as to himself, "Before someone strolls along and decides to get the wrong idea," snapping his attention back on the woman, he gave her shoulder another soft shake, "Come now. Your neck will positively kill you in the morning, if you keep this up."

To say that Gwen's slumber was deep would be an understatement. The energy drain left her with just the bare minimum left. Dreams weren't even invading the stark darkness of her sleep. It was just a nothingness as her body attempted to recover the energy stolen from it.

Something though began to break through the drain induced sleep. Gwen had to practically claw her way out of her hazy sleep all the while barely registering that someone was touching her shoulder and talking to her. She could hear something, but she wasn't able to piece it together. The sounds just melded into one jumbled mess. She just wanted to go back to sleep. Sweet sleep that wanted to the drag her back down into the dark abyss. The voice wouldn't stop though and it was enough of an anchor for her to pull herself out of her slumber.

Slowly, her icy blue eyes opened. Of course the first thing she noticed was the fact that her neck was uncomfortable. Terribly uncomfortable actually. Carefully, she lifted her head. The muscles in her neck protesting from the awkward position they had been in. She groaned slightly and lifted her arm to rub it. Well...she would have lifted her arm if her limb hadn't felt like dead weight and not worth the effort.

That was when she realized though she wasn't alone. It took her sleepy brain a moment to register the man crouched beside her but instantly a fear set in as memories of what had transpired just before she fell asleep came rushing back. She practically pushed herself against the wall, unable to move too much or too quickly. "Who are you? Where did he go?"

Gwen looked around frantically as if expecting someone or something to jump out at her from a dark corner. It certainly didn't help to calm her down when she could feel how lethargic she felt.

What the hell happened?

Slowly, his efforts are rousing the woman were rewarded when she groaned and shifted, lifting her neck out of the awkward position it had previously been in, "Atta girl," Rohan's words were drawled slowly, as if he'd been speaking to a weak, hurt, stray animal, obviously trying to keep her calm. The last thing he needed was for the woman to have some sort of panic attack; he wasn't sure he could properly deal with that, and thus, the only thing to do... was to avoid it, "Shh..." he retreated his arm from her shoulder the moment she pressed herself against the wall, leaning away from her, given the fact she obviously wanted space, "It's fine now. Would you like me to phone the police for you?" he lifted the phone which was still glowing in the darkness, offering enough light in the mean time for Rohan to notice her many scrapes and scratches. The fact she had not lifted her limbs up... had not escaped his notice.

He knew what had happened here. Hell, he'd caused incidents like this one before, after all. He knew what had transpired and as such, knew how she should more or less react. The knowledge calmed him, and he leaned even further away from the woman still pressing her frame against the wall, "It looks to me like you were... attacked, ma'am. Can you walk? Move?" he was sure the answer was likely a big resounding 'no', but still, propriety (or what little he knew of it), required he ask her. He paused, looked over his shoulder languidly and then down the alley with hooded eyes and calm expression; this was not a good place to leave her, all alone and probably incapable of movement, "I believe this to be a dangerous place. I would leave you alone, if you wished but..." he gestured vaguely at her with his chin, "You seem to have difficulty moving. Would you like some help getting somewhere? I would have let you sleep and carry you there, but the implications of doing so would have been.... unfortunate, so I opted for waking you before offering transport," another pause as the man almost grimaced, painfully aware that his social grace was making him probably look like a very poor option indeed, "The phone is also still available, if you would rather that," this was said with a short sigh.

After a moment or two, he seemed to decide that maybe answering her questions would also be a good idea, so thus, the man placed his arms over his knees and remain in a hopefully non threatening crouch, "My name is Rohan Dalry. I teach English literature in Meadow High; I am figuring the 'he' you speak of is the one that did... this," he gestured vaguely at her with his free hand, "To you. In which case, the answer to your question is 'probably not around here any more'. However, I myself would not risk staying."

Gwen shook her head slightly at the mention of calling the cops. What good would it do anyway? At best she could give a description but even that seemed hazy to her. What the hell had that guy done to her? Drug her? Where did he manage to do that? The only thing she remembered was him holding onto her wrist and getting tired before finally passing out. Maybe it was somethign on his hands? She had heard there were drugs that could be absorbed by the skin.

Gwen slowly allowed herself to relax the more the man talked to her. "No...I...I can't really move." She frowned as she attempted to move her arms but found them to be nothing more than dead weights. Sure they shifted but that was the extent of what she could do. What the hell.

This whole situation was puzzling and terrifying. She had no idea what had happened to her. All she knew was that she could happily curl back up and fall back to sleep and not care where the hell she was located. None-the-less she forced herself to focus on this man who was, besides his obvious social awkwardness was doing his best to help her. " I..." she paused for a moment, unsure what to do or say at this point. "I think getting somewhere else would be better." She certainly didn't seem sure of herself but at the same time what else was there to do? As much as she wanted to, she couldn't remain there and sleep. Who knew what or who else could stumble upon her. Surely she wouldn't be as lucky a second time with a man willing to be as helpful as this one.

With a name,Gwen finally managed to calm herself down completely as was evident with her slouched shoulders and drooping eyes. "Thank you for stopping." She looked at him tiredly. The fact he was a teacher for kids certainly helped ease matters for her. Anyone who was certified and trusted with kids would be safe to put her trust in. "I, don't want to take the chance that he'd still around." She glanced upwards as if expecting the man to just appear out of thin air as he had the first time. "I live pretty far from here though so I don't know where to go."

She looked back at the man and slowly caught herself wanting to drift back off. She forced herself to stay awake by carefully shifting her body a bit so that she was a bit more upright. "I am Gweneth by the way. Just...just call be Gwen though."

    This was.... this was awkward.

Not only because the woman seemed to relax quite notably (which for some reason made Rohan feel horribly, deeply guilty), but because he felt like he was playing the poor woman. Deceiving her, even, when it really wasn't his intention; after all, at that current moment in time, his heart was in the right place. Still, that small, nibbling thought at the back of his mind was laughing at him, reminding him that this scene he was witnessing at the current moment... was nothing. He'd done worse.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and let it out slowly before refocusing his attention on the woman, whom was very obviously having trouble staying awake. As it was... it was nothing short of a small miracle she was maintaining consciousness as well as she was, given the fact she could barely move her arms; this meant a large amount of her energy had been stolen away, "Right," he said, though it was obviously not voiced for her benefit, but rather, his own. That said, he moved to pocket his phone into his tan colored jacket and then shifted closer to her, "With you permission..." he drawled in a much more calm fashion than he really felt, "We are going to get you out of here; you look like you are about to pass out on me... and I do not relish the idea of leaving you here," he then shifted again, placing himself to her side so he could snake and arm behind her back to support her, and then another under her knees.

After a small pause, the man straightened himself up to his full height, carrying Gwen up with him, "Gwen," he spoke her name as if to test the weight of it on his tongue, and then looked up and away, down the alley. He seemed to be pondering his options for a moment or two, and then apparently came to a decision, given the fact he began to walk out of the alley and into the light of the otherwise deserted street, "How far away is... 'pretty far'?" he took one sideways glance down at the woman in his arms and soon enough came to the realization that 'pretty far' was probably further than he could walk.

Specially with a woman in his arms. Wonderful.

Given the fact her energy had been stolen... but she hadn't been maimed entirely or outright killed, Rohan was willing to bet his own starseed that the woman was, in fact, not a senshi. As such, his options pretty much amounted to leaving her back at the alley (which he'd already discarded) and offering her a place nearby where she could wait out the effects of the energy drain, "If you are not entirely uncomfortable... my house is two streets down that way," he nodded in a specific direction, then looked down at her, his voice as monotone as it'd been from the start, as if the man were, in fact, talking about the weather, rather than about the current ordeal, "I do not think we shall find a taxi at this hour; otherwise I would have suggested that," another pause, "I... have no idea what to offer at this point, really. I've never been in this sort of situation before. I don't know what to do."

There we go, he'd admitted to it. That made him feel both better and worse, at the same ******** time. Brilliant.
