Quote: - On top of the highest hill through the highest mountain peak is the rarest of eggs, the Giant Snake egg. If you bring this home, then you have proven your worth as the greatest eggstractor of them all. Step 1: Climb the mountain - You're already used to this part. Get going! Climb up that mountain and see what you're made of. Oh wait, right, we forgot to mention. The reason why you need a wyvern egg is you have to replace that egg with the Giant Snake Egg you need to get. That way the parent giant snake doesn't notice! - As you climb the mountain, roll 1d4. Match your dice roll to the result below. 1: You break your wyvern egg! Sorry, you have to obtain another one.. 2. You manage to climb with relative ease. Something watches you in the distance. 3. You trip and stumble but save your egg! -10 HP for your character 4. You accidentally stumble into a giant cloud of miasma! Add +5 to your miasma meter. Step 2: Replacing the egg Finally you reach the base of the mountain with a 400 foot giant snake guarding its pile of eggs in the center. You must slowly sneak and take the Giant Snake egg, replacing it with the wyvern one. Roll 1d100 to see how quiet you were. If you roll 30 or less, you get eaten. You die and dissipate back to base camp. The good news is you still have your wyvern egg (must start quest again). Otherwise, continue onwards. Step 3: New egg friend and you At this point you no longer have your wyvern egg. You only have this Giant Snake Egg. So that means if you destroy your giant snake egg on the way back, you have to obtain a new wyvern egg from the previous eggstraction quest. The giant snake egg has 10 HP. A pair of very hungry velicoraptor-like creatures seem to have found you and follow the egg hungrily! They have 10 HP. You only need to defeat one to move on (per group!) Every time you or ANYONE in the group rolls double dice (1, 1, 2, 2, etc) you take -2 damage to your egg, otherwise it takes no damage. At the very end where the base camp is, there is a giant waterfall. You have no choice, you have to jump down! Roll 1d6 to see how much damage your egg takes. Good luck! If your egg somehow survives, you have DONE IT. Go ahead and collect your prize and drop it off in this thread!

More mountains with more eggs?
Ignatius was starting to wonder how many creatures inhabited the very peaks of mountains here. Was this typical? He didn't exactly come from a mountainous land himself, nor was Halloweentown very mountainous, so it wasn't like he would know any better. He supposed it was feasible, tops of mountains gave relative privacy...
Well, that was if you were not contractor being invaded by visitors to a fake resort town. Poor, unfortunate creatures. Ignatius was quite ready to bring down another egg from the peak of this even taller mountain.
It was a longer trek than both times, but Ignatius had practiced on the two smaller mountains, was fairly adept at climbing, and was prepared for what was coming. Therefore, any challenges in his way were conquered, and his climb ended up honestly rather uneventful.
Except for the fact that it felt like someone was staring at him, anyway. Ignatius kept glancing over his shoulder, trying to figure out what was following him. What cared that he was climbing up the mountain? It better not be another one of those giant snakes, or jack forbid, a sand crab. Of course, sand crabs were amusing...
As Ignatius reached the top, he waved down below, hopefully at a sand crab, but honestly at whatever was following him. It didn't matter if they were -- he had accomplished his mission!
Well, first, he needed to set the egg down...

With all the caution someone with his ambient energy could muster, Ignatius reached into his bag and carefully lifted his wyvern egg out.
This should be easy enough, he figured. All he had to do was set this wyvern egg down, pick up the new egg, and run away as fast as possible. He was certainly capable of that last step. How was he to get to the nest, though? Should he just jump over the snake? That didn't seem wise. Maybe he could climb over it. He could scale mountains, why couldn't he scale snakes?
Evidently, Ignatius was about to find out, considering that he was quickly consumed as soon as he set a hand on the snake.

"Ow."
Ignatius shook his head as he reappeared at the bottom of the mountain, shaking his limbs out. Dissipation was something he did not particularly enjoy, though it was good to say he had experienced it, right? Made him seem tougher.
The lightning elemental cracked his neck before he started his venture back up the mountain once more.
Despite keeping his egg in a cushioned pocket in his back bag, Ignatius' overeagerness to get back up to the top shook and rattled his egg. It was this lack of attention to care that caused him to hear a loud cracking sound inside his bag, inmediately followed by his own mutter of, "s**t."
Ignatius wasted no time descending back down the mountain, swearing to it that he'd be back... As soon as he retrieved a new egg.

After obtaining a new wyvern egg, Ignatius was more than ready to start the challenge of going up this mountain once more. It struck him for a moment that maybe he should be a bit more careful with his motions, so perhaps he didn't crush the egg this time. As much as going slower was not really his style, he didn't really want to go on the wyvern mountain adventure again, and so he relented, taking much more measured steps. His measured steps did not stop him from stumbling into a particularly thick cloud of fog, though. He coughed, waved at his face to clear it up without really knowing what it was, and kept going. Unperturbed by the sensation of the fog entering his body, Ignatius made it to the top of the mountain and stared down the face of a giant, sleeping snake once again.
He decided to attempt climbing it again, not really spending enough time to decide on another option. He was immediately eaten.

That giant snake really did not like him, observed Ignatius. He supposed it made sense. He was trying to replace its baby with a wyvern. He was sure it would love the wyvern, though! So sure, that he was willing to try climbing the mountain again.

It finally struck him that maybe he should try another method when he reached the top. Climbing the snake clearly wasn't working, and there was no way he could jump high enough to get over it.
He looked around the snake, pondering a way around it. But he was very bad at pondering, evidently, as the snake still decided to eat him.

Maybe the snake just liked electricity. Or could sense it. That was possible. Ignatius, on the other hand, was apparently drawn to miasma.

If the snake could sense electricity, maybe he should try to show as little of it as possible.
Of course, as a lightning elemental, that wasn't exactly easy. That required hiding himself. Still, he focused, attempting to bring in any spare static and focus it in on himself. He wasn't exactly used to drawing in what he was, and it made him walk stiffly and awkwardly towards the nest.
Though he barely managed it, he managed to plunk the wyvern egg down and run away with the new snake egg before the giant snake that enjoyed zappy snacks woke up again.

It did not miss his notice that there was a velociraptor in quick pursuit behind him. While it struck him to attempt outrunning it, Ignatius decided his better chance was to fight it head on.
Carefully, he placed the egg behind him and stood in front of it, gathering electricity into his hands. This was on.

The velociraptor flinched away from the egg, but it didn't take long for it to charge forward again. Ignatius was prepared, though.
While he failed to do any damage, the velociraptor would not reach his egg, jackdammit.

Velociraptors were crafty little creatures that apparently were hard to hit. No problem. Ignatius appreciated a challenge.

They were dodgy sometimes, too. Ignatius attempted to stop the velociraptor, but at no prevail: it got a hit in. How dare it!
