The village is running low on food and it is up to you to find some steaks and cook them for the village. You are granted exactly one portable spit though you will have to do the hunting yourself.



Right in the outskirts of the village are EVIL HAND TURKEYS. They have 10 HP each, which your character will have to defeat in normal battle combat style (attack with the dice mechanics of your current character until it hits 0 HP). They do -2 auto damage to you every time you hit it. When you have defeated a turkey, you can carve from it, a turkey steak.

Roll 1d10 to cook your steak. If you roll 1-5 your steak is raw, if you roll 6-8 your steak is perfect, if you roll 9-10 you steak is unedible. Only RAW and perfect steaks are allowed.

If you acquire a perfect steak, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list.

Lock had never been to a place where food was an issue, but he had also never really been in any areas outside of metropolitan zones. He had also never hunted for said meat, nor had he cooked meat outside of a stove.

So this was going to be interesting.

Shun certainly had no problem attacking a nearby turkey, and Lock looked at one nervously. Killing a bird seemed ... well Lock was a little more sensitive than Shun was.

Voodoo had no problem pouncing though. Lock thought maybe this was a job best left to her.

Then the turkey came flying at him. Shun quickly spun back around towards it, stabbing it in the side of the head with one of his daggers, finishing it off rather quickly.

"Get what meat you can. We will cook it from there."

Shun went on to cook his slab of meat, then looked over at Lock. He nodded in approval. Both steaks were on the rare side, but quite frankly, he was used to making rare steaks. It was how Mitsu liked it.

"Good enough. Let us get some more."

When Voodoo went for one, Shun went after another. He damaged it considerably, leaving the creature crippled. It wouldn't be hard to finish it off now.

Shun nodded to Lock, then quickly finished the turkey off.

Seeing as he'd given Voodoo a sitting duck (or turkey, as it were), she was quick to take it out.

She was rather upset that he'd made it too easy though.

Lock learned from his last mistake, and let it cook a little longer this time. The only real trouble was keeping it out of Vodooo's grasp. She wanted to eat her prize.

He gave her the raw one from earlier. She had worked hard and deserved the reward.

Lock wasn't really sure how she ate it all things considered, since she picked it up with one of her tentacles and just sort of ... swallowed it into her being. Lock chose not to question these things.
